Fabindia was founded in New Delhi in 1960 by John Bissell, an American working with the Ford Foundation. It sells garments, home furnishings, fabrics and handmade products through its own stores. Artisans hold shares in the supply-region companies that make its products, and all of its employees became shareholders in 2010.
We rate it 9.3/10 (excellent) after buying and testing it ourselves. What we liked most: 100% Cotton: Both the outer shell and inner lining are 100% cotton, making it extremely light and breathable. Could be better: Price: At ₹1800, it's on the higher side for a cotton jacket, but quality justifies it.
It’s listed on Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio and Nykaa. The store buttons at the top of this page open each listing, so you can check today’s price and sizes there.
Jacket fabric type: Pure cotton. See Specifications above for the full details.
Its value-for-money score is 9/10 (excellent): we weigh what you get against similar products we’ve tested.
Yes. Fab India is an Indian brand, founded in 1960.
We buy every product ourselves and score it out of 10 on design, material quality, comfort and value for money. The FA score is the average of those scores. No paid placements: brands can’t buy a better score.
