Katrina Kaif’s makeup label, co-founded with Nykaa, has passed ₹350 crore in GMV and ranks among Nykaa’s top five makeup brands while growing in the UK.
What happened
Kay Beauty, the makeup label Katrina Kaif co-founded with Nykaa, has gone past ₹350 crore in gross merchandise value, Nykaa said in its November 2025 earnings call, as Mint reported. Mint pointed out that GMV tracks the value of goods sold. It is not a measure of what the brand itself is worth.
On the same call, Nykaa placed Kay Beauty among the five biggest makeup brands sold on its platform. The company also said the brand’s debut in the UK had met with a strong response.
Later figures point in the same direction. A Fortune India report from October 2026 put the label’s annualised run rate on net sales value at ₹300 crore during FY27’s opening quarter, according to Mint. Fortune India also said close to three million people have bought its products so far.
The background
Kay Beauty began life in India in 2019 as a joint effort between Katrina Kaif and Nykaa. From the start, its pitch paired makeup that performs well with formulas that keep skin care in mind. A wide spread of shades was part of the idea too.
The brand’s UK chapter came through Space NK, the British luxury beauty chain. The first stores to stock the line were Space NK’s Oxford Circus branch in London, Westfield White City, Leicester and Birmingham Bullring. Vogue reported that the retailer saw appeal for Kay Beauty well beyond South Asian buyers, Mint noted.
In 2026, Katrina Kaif marked one year of the brand on British shelves with an appearance at Space NK’s flagship store at Oxford Circus. Gulf shoppers have their own route to the range. It is sold there through Nysaa, the beauty retail platform Nykaa runs together with Apparel Group.
What it means for you
For shoppers in India, Kay Beauty is one of the top five makeup brands on Nykaa, so anyone who already uses the platform will find it easy to locate. The range spans complexion products, lip colours, eyeliners and other everyday makeup basics. Since the brand has long promoted a broad shade range, buyers may want to check the full list of shades before settling on a base product.
Indians living abroad or travelling can look for the brand at Space NK stores in the UK, where prices started at roughly £6 to £20, and at Nysaa in the Gulf. Prices and stock can vary between markets, so shoppers may want to compare what is on offer at home with what they find overseas before buying.
