Baazar Style Retail has added stores in Silapathar, Tajpur and Bettiah, taking its network to 290 as it keeps growing across eastern India’s smaller towns.
What happened
Baazar Style Retail Limited has opened three more Style Baazar stores, according to Apparel Resources. The new outlets are in Silapathar in Assam and in Tajpur and Bettiah in Bihar.
With these openings, the retailer’s network stood at 290 stores as of November 1, 2026, Apparel Resources reported. The three towns join a chain that has been adding locations steadily through the year.
The expansion follows a busy second quarter. Between July and September, the company opened 14 stores and shut seven, according to the same report, which suggests it is reworking its map as it grows rather than only adding to it.
The background
At the end of September 2026, Style Baazar ran 283 stores, Apparel Resources reported. That figure was 13% higher than a year earlier. Its leased space has expanded at an even quicker pace, and on September 30, 2026, the company rented 26.69 lakh sq. ft. in all, 16% more than it held twelve months before.
The latest quarter’s numbers reflect the calendar as much as the business. Revenue from operations came in at ₹4,781 million in Q2 FY27, a 10% dip from the same period last year. The company linked this mainly to the timing of Durga Puja, which fell in Q2 of FY26 but moved into Q3 this financial year, shifting a large share of festive shopping into the following quarter.
Seen over six months, the picture is steadier. Revenue from operations for H1 FY27 rose 6% to ₹9,645 million, according to Apparel Resources. Sales per square foot, a measure of how hard each store works, were ₹642 per month in Q2 FY27 against ₹865 a year ago, and ₹660 per month for the half year compared with ₹768 in H1 FY26. With many new and larger stores still settling in, and the festive season falling later, this figure is one shoppers and investors alike may want to watch in the coming quarters.
What it means for you
For families in Silapathar, Tajpur and Bettiah, a Style Baazar store is now close to home, so there is less need to travel to a bigger city for everyday and festive clothing. Shoppers in these towns may want to check opening offers and timings at their local outlet directly, since the reports do not share details on pricing or product range.
Across Assam, Bihar and the brand’s wider network of 290 stores, the shift of Durga Puja into the October to December quarter means much of the festive buying falls in the current period. Customers planning seasonal purchases may find it useful to visit their nearest store early and compare what is on the racks before the rush peaks.
