It is not the DILLINGER printed in a German steelmaker’s name on marks in classes 6, 40 and 99, nor Dillinger India Steel Service Center Private Limited; both of those sit on the steel side. The label’s own site, dillinger.in, is run by El Cinco Inc, a Tamil Nadu firm, and a register mirror prints D.O. Apparel, also of Tiruppur, as proprietor of the clothing marks.
Every source below was read 29 September 2026. The page works from a GST record, trade-mark entries, the brand’s own pages, a franchise listing and marketplace declarations.
El Cinco Inc, spelt Elcinco on some records, sells Dillinger and signs for it: “Elcinco Inc” and its Kangeyam Road address headed 19 of 20 “Manufactured By” fields opened on a large Indian fashion marketplace. A register mirror prints D.O. Apparel of Tiruppur as proprietor of the three registered class 25 marks. The first forty listings there gave a ₹1,499 median MRP against a ₹531.50 median paid. The own site allows a seven-day return or exchange, and the pages read state no warranty.

Who owns Dillinger
The operator is El Cinco Inc. The terms on dillinger.in say the site’s content is “solely owned by El Cinco Inc.” and give its address as No. 17, Amarjothi Sathyamoorthy Nagar, Kangeyam Road, Tiruppur, with GSTIN 33AADFE4814D1Z0. The contact, return and privacy pages name the same firm, and the about page describes a “house of branded apparel, providing the best quality apparel at a very affordable price”.
The firm’s name is written two ways. The site prints “El Cinco Inc”; the GST mirror prints “ELCINCO INC”, the marketplace fields “ELCINCO INC” and “Elcinco Inc”, and the franchise listing “Elcinco”. The strings differ. The site and the GST mirror carry the same GSTIN, and the site and the marketplace records the same Kangeyam Road address.
Its legal form varies by record. KnowYourGST, a GST aggregator rather than the portal, shows “ELCINCO INC” with constitution “Partnership”, registered on 01/07/2017, nature of business “Retail Business” and jurisdiction “TIRUPPUR (RURAL)”. A US trade-mark office file lists the applicant “EL CINCO INC.” as a “CORPORATION” organised in India. An IndiaMart profile also describes the firm as a partnership.
No turnover or capital figure for Dillinger’s seller appears in the documents read.
Two dates of origin circulate. The franchise listing says “inception in 2011”; three trade-mark entries claim use since 29 June 2012. The two measure different things, and the about page’s “Loved by 5 million + customers” is the site’s own figure.
How Dillinger reaches the shelf
Three routes appear in the documents read. First is dillinger.in, a Shopify store with men’s, women’s and sportswear sections, which also sells a second house label, Difference of Opinion: all 12 products at the head of its 1,004-product men’s T-shirt collection carried that name on 29 September 2026.
Second come franchised shops. The franchisor’s own entry on Franchise India offers “Dillinger Offline Stores” on a “FOFO (Franchise Owned Franchise Operated) model” from 2024, with outlets “Less than 10”, a ₹3,00,000 fee, ₹10 to 20 lakh of investment and a 0% royalty, stocking “five brands”. It is a sales listing, not a filing, and FashionAudit did not find a count of firm-run stores.

Third are the marketplaces. Of 20 Dillinger records opened on one large Indian fashion marketplace, Supercom Net was seller of record on 11 and ELCINCO INC on 9, so the firm was seller of record on fewer than half. FashionAudit did not find a distributor or licensee filing for the brand.
Dillinger on the shelf
That marketplace held 1,967 listings under its DILLINGER brand filter. Of the first 40 as the filter ordered them, 33 were T-shirts, five shirts, one a co-ord set and one track pants.
Their median MRP was ₹1,499 and median paid ₹531.50, a share of 35.5%. Thirty-nine of the 40 carried a reduction. One listing, “Typography Printed Polo Collar Oversized Pure Cotton”, sold at ₹912 against a ₹1,599 MRP. Narrowed to T-shirts, 30 listings came to ₹1,399 MRP and ₹482 paid at the median, 34.5%, with 29 below MRP.
Against nine other Indian menswear filters read that day, no name had a lower median MRP or a lower median paid. On share it placed seventh: six had a higher one, led by Locomotive’s 80.0%, and three a lower one, down to Highlander’s 25.6%.
The 20 declaration records, 14 T-shirts, five shirts and one co-ord, all gave India as origin and left the importer blank. The manufacturer field printed “Elcinco Inc – #17,Amarjothi Sathyamoorthy Nagar, 1st Street, Kangeyam Road, Tirupur, Tamil…” on 16, a spacing variant ending “Tirupur-641604.” on three, and a Tirupur address alone on one.
Where Dillinger is made
A “Manufactured By” field is a legal answer, not a site visit. It names the party declared answerable for the article under India’s packaging rules; it is not a factory. On Dillinger that party is the firm behind the website, at the door number its contact page gives, which tells a buyer who to hold to the label and nothing about which machines knitted the cloth.
Own-site product pages print the Kangeyam Road address alone on that line; two of the four read add “EL CINCO INC” and the GSTIN. The about page speaks of “sincere efforts in styling and manufacturing of the product” but names no plant, capacity or maker.
Fabric wording is general. DLMOV441BLK, an oversized T-shirt, says “Cotton” with no percentage or GSM. The polos DLPOL002MRN and DLM02_YD02ASH share stock copy offering “100% cotton, a cotton blend, or a mix of cotton and synthetic fibers like polyester”, without saying which applies to the piece. DLMSRTCHKD017 names no fabric; no page gives a weight, standard or certifier.

Who holds the Dillinger trade marks
Every trade-mark reading here is taken from QuickCompany, which mirrors the Indian register; none is from the registry’s own screens. An entry tells you whose name a word or device stands in for a class of goods, and the use date the applicant claimed. It says nothing about who stitches or sells the goods.

The D DILLINGER device, filed 29 June 2012, shows a proprietor-change form of 14/12/2019 and an order of 31/01/2020; the 3698382 word mark shows a name-change form of 3 April 2024. The mirror gives form types, not what each altered.
In the documents read, El Cinco Inc appears as an applicant once, in the United States: application 90091726, filed 4 August 2020 for a stylised DILLINGER in class 25. Its status, dated 6 February 2023, reads “Abandoned because no Statement of Use or Extension Request timely filed after Notice of Allowance was issued.”
Returns, warranty and who answers
Own-site money sits with the firm the return policy names, “EL CINCO INC (GST No: 33AADFE4814D1Z0)”. The window is “within 7 days of the order delivery” for a return or an exchange, on goods in “unused condition with all original tags and packaging intact”. Innerwear cannot go back, “For hygiene”. A ₹70 reverse-shipment fee applies, and “Shipping and COD Charges charged at time of Order Placement is Non Refundable”.
Refunds go back to the payment method, a bank account for cash orders, or to store credit valid a year. “Refund will be processed within 3-4 days once the products get validated”. A missing, wrong or damaged item needs an unboxing video within 24 hours, so film the parcel being opened.
No warranty wording appears on the terms, returns or shipping pages. None of the terms, privacy or contact pages names a grievance officer; the last offers info@dillinger.in and a phone number. The terms are “governed by the laws of Chennai, India”, with “exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts at Chennai”. On a marketplace order the listing names its own seller of record, Supercom Net on 11 of the 20 read; that platform’s return terms were not read.
What Dillinger costs in India
No price outside India appears in any source read for this Tiruppur house brand, so the useful comparison is own site against marketplace. On four men’s lines read at dillinger.in, the selling price ran from 18.0% to 49.5% of the printed MRP.

No marketplace listing matched these style codes, so no like-for-like gap is given. The marketplace’s ₹531.50 median paid falls inside the own-site selling range of ₹450 to ₹594. The own site adds a “₹39 shipping fee on orders up to ₹999” and “₹49 for all Cash on Delivery (COD) orders”.
The MRP on a Dillinger tag worked as a ceiling: one of the first 40 marketplace listings and none of the four own-site lines charged it that day. Other T-shirt and casualwear names sold in India have their own pages, among them the Bewakoof audit and the Flying Machine audit.

Difference of Opinion is the firm’s other house label on dillinger.in. A shirt carrying that name is from the same store but is not sold as a Dillinger.
Hold the price against the own site
The four men’s lines on dillinger.in sold at ₹450 to ₹594 on 29 September 2026, and the marketplace median paid was ₹531.50. A Dillinger priced far under both deserves a question before the order.
The record in India
Across the documents read, FashionAudit did not find a court, tribunal or regulator’s matter naming Dillinger, El Cinco Inc or D.O. Apparel. The formal entries are trade-mark office steps, set out above: three class 25 registrations and a US application recorded as abandoned on 6 February 2023.
The Chennai jurisdiction clause in the site’s terms is a contract term, not a case.

Dillinger fits someone after a printed or striped T-shirt at roughly ₹450 to ₹600 who pays the selling price and needs no numbers on the fabric line. A stated GSM, a written warranty and a named grievance officer are all missing from the pages read.
