Monte Carlo Brand Audit: Who Signs for Ludhiana’s Woollens

Monte Carlo is owned by listed Monte Carlo Fashions of Ludhiana, which signs for its woollens in its own name. What they cost against MRP and the return terms.
Monte Carlo brand audit by FashionAudit: Monte Carlo logo over a cable-knit wool sweater and a quilted winter jacket on a wooden bench

Monte Carlo the clothing brand is a Ludhiana name, not the principality’s. It belongs to Monte Carlo Fashions Limited of Ludhiana, quoted on the NSE as MONTECARLO and on the BSE as 538836. Oswal Woollen Mills Limited launched the name in 1984 and passed it to the present company under a demerger scheme sanctioned by the High Court of Punjab and Haryana on 20 May 2011, as the trade-mark mirror records it.

Read on 29 September 2026, the company’s own shop sold a men’s polo at ₹1,427 against an MRP of ₹2,195, and on a large Indian fashion marketplace all 20 declarations opened named the company’s own Unit-2 in Ludhiana as the party answerable for the garment.

The short answer

Monte Carlo is owned by Monte Carlo Fashions Limited, Ludhiana, “Active” on a register mirror and printed on the flagship class 25 marks on the trade-mark mirror. It signs for its goods in its own name, at its own works address, on all 20 marketplace records read on 29 September 2026. Its FAQ and its return policy word the refund for an ordinary return differently, so read both before buying.

Who owns Monte Carlo

A companies-register mirror prints Monte Carlo Fashions Limited as a public company incorporated on 1 July 2008 under ROC Chandigarh, status “Active”, paid-up capital ₹20,73,20,640, registered office B-XXIX-106, G.T. Road, Sherpur, Ludhiana; a second mirror gives the same status and capital.

Oswal Woollen Mills Limited, which “began its operations in 1949 in Ludhiana”, launched Monte Carlo in 1984 and demerged the garment business into Monte Carlo Fashions Limited in 2011-12; the trade-mark mirror records registration No. 630095, “Monte Carlo Collection OWM (with device)”, class 25, filed on 6 June 1994, as “transferred to Monte Carlo Fashions Limited via demerger scheme approved by the High Court of Punjab & Haryana on 20.05.2011”. The company listed in December 2014, and a CARE Ratings release of 3 January 2018 records the mill’s “entire stake sale in Monte Carlo Fashions Limited in the latter’s Initial Public Offer, in December 2014”. No later change of control appears in any document read; a screener mirror puts the promoter holding at 73.17% in June 2026, and the half-year disclosure to 30 September 2025 lists the mill, Nahar Spinning Mills Limited and Nahar Industrial Enterprises Limited as “Promoter Group”.

Every mark here is a reading of quickcompany.in on 29 September 2026, a mirror of the register and not the register: it shows who filed, in which class, and the status it last copied, and nothing about who sells or whether a licence exists. The flagship marks are printed to the company. “Monte Carlo (device)”, No. 2639893, class 25 for “Clothing, Footwear, Headgear”, is “Registered”, filed on 9 December 2013 and valid to 9 December 2033, with no registered user, the proprietor printed as “Monte Carlo Fashions Public, G.T. Road, Sherpur, Ludhiana 141003”. The Cloak & Decker label, No. 2647854, is “Registered” to the same proprietor; a class 25 entry “Monte Carlo”, No. 3835422, prints “Abandoned”.

For the year ended 31 March 2026, the audited results print standalone revenue from operations of ₹1,17,501 lakh and profit after tax of ₹11,173 lakh; consolidated, ₹1,27,591 lakh and ₹11,206 lakh.

How Monte Carlo reaches the shelf

The brand’s own product pages read “Manufacturer/Marketed By: Monte Carlo Fashions Limited Unit-2, 231, Industrial Area – A, Ludhiana-141003, Punjab, India”, and “231, Industrial Area-A” is one of four “Works” addresses the annual report lists in Ludhiana. The company that owns the mark signs for the goods, with the address of one of its own units.

The company’s own documents describe its production. The investor presentation of August 2025 describes “two state-of-the-art integrated manufacturing facilities in Ludhiana, Punjab”; on the fourth-quarter call of 19 May 2026, management gave the outsourced share.

85% of the production is outsourced from different vendors across India.

Monte Carlo Fashions Limited, Q4 FY26 earnings-call transcript, 19 May 2026, published on the company’s investor site; read 29 September 2026.

The 6 August 2026 call put it another way: “cotton plants are running at full capacity … All the other demand that is there, we outsource to third-party vendors.” How many vendors is not stated in any document read. Group companies are among the suppliers: the half-year disclosure records purchases from Oswal Woollen Mills Limited and Nahar Spinning Mills Limited.

Monte Carlo on the shelf

On 29 September 2026 the brand facet on a large Indian fashion marketplace held 10,042 listings. Three neighbouring facets carried the words and were kept out of every count: Cloak & Decker by Monte Carlo, 71; Moca By Monte Carlo, 12; Perris Monte Carlo, 12. The first two match marks the mirror prints to the company.

The first 40 listings in facet order were a winter shelf, led by 12 sweaters, 10 jackets, 8 tracksuits, 7 sweatshirts and 2 pairs of track pants. Their median MRP was ₹4,135 and their median selling price ₹1,977, 47.8% of MRP, with 38 of the 40 reduced.

Twenty of those records were opened one at a time. Country of origin read India on all 20; the “Manufactured By” field read “Monte Carlo Fashions Limited Unit-2, 231, Industrial Area – A, Ludhiana-141003, Punja…” on all 20, cut off where the field cut it; the importer field was blank on all 20. The seller of record was Flashtech Retail on 16 and Monte Carlo Fashions Limited itself on 4. Against nine other brand shelves read the same day, 47.8% sat sixth of ten.

Where Monte Carlo is made

India, on every declaration read: both product pages on montecarlo.in print “Country of Origin: India”, and the 20 marketplace records did the same. No document read gives a share by state, city or supplier.

A “Manufactured By” line under Indian packaging rules names the party declared answerable for the goods; it is not a factory. Monte Carlo’s line prints the address of its own Unit-2, one of the four Works in the annual report, and says nothing about where a given pullover was knitted.

The 18th Annual Report, for 2025-26, was filed with NSE on 31 August 2026; the operating figures here are dated to the 2024-25 report and the two calls.

Rock.it, a Monte Carlo sub-brand

The company names Rock.it among its sub-brands in the 17th Annual Report, and the shop’s navigation lists it as “Rockit”; on the trade-mark mirror, the class 25 “Rock.it” mark, No. 3442070, filed on 23 December 2016, is printed to Cotton County Retail of Ludhiana.

Returns, warranty and who answers

Because the owner runs the shop, there is no licensee to chase. The terms on montecarlo.in say the site is operated by “Monte Carlo Fashions Ltd., a company incorporated under the laws of India” and send payment disputes to the “exclusive jurisdiction of Ludhiana Courts only”. The privacy policy names only “Monte Carlo” and gives an email address and helplines. No grievance officer is named or titled on any of those pages.

The shop’s three policy pages word returns differently. The Shipping and Return Policy allows a return “within 7 days of receiving the product”, unused, with “brand tags intact”, and says the refund lands “7 to 10 business days” later, to the Monte Carlo wallet or to the original payment method. The FAQ keeps the seven days but says of an ordinary return that “the paid amount will be credited to your wallet for future purchases on our website. Please note, refunds are not provided”, with a bank refund only for “a manufacturing defect or variation”. The Terms and Conditions give 30 days for a defect claim, against the FAQ’s seven. Both wordings were on the site on 29 September 2026.

There is no product warranty on any page read. The terms carry a disclaimer: “There is no Guarantee of Peeling on our Products”. What the site’s pages give the buyer is a seven-day window, a defect claim of seven or thirty days by page, a wallet credit or a refund by page, and a mailbox.

What Monte Carlo costs in India

Monte Carlo is priced in rupees at home, so there is no overseas price and no duty to compute. What the brand’s own shop printed on 29 September 2026, under a site-wide sale, is set out as read.

Own-site rows read on montecarlo.in on 29 September 2026; the last row from a large Indian fashion marketplace the same day. Winter wear is priced from the marketplace.

That day montecarlo.in sold at 35% and 50% off, and the marketplace’s first 40 had a median paid of 47.8% of their median MRP. Does the owner’s report say what a garment is worth? No: the 17th Annual Report counts production in pieces without separating its own output from its vendors’, and its revenue takes in home textiles and footwear, so dividing one by the other would produce a figure the company does not publish. For other Indian menswear names, this site’s audits of Blackberrys, Peter England and Allen Solly set out how each reaches the shelf.

Checking a Monte Carlo is genuine

No page read carries an authenticity statement or a list of authorised sellers, so the checks below rest on what it does print.

Check 01

Read the manufacturer line for Unit-2

The company’s own pages and all 20 marketplace records read print “Monte Carlo Fashions Limited Unit-2, 231, Industrial Area – A, Ludhiana-141003”. A different company on that line is a reason to ask the seller who signed for the goods.

Check 02

Look for India and an MRP

Every declaration read said India, and the brand’s pages print an MRP with a percentage-off label.

Check 03

Compare with the brand’s own sale price

On 29 September 2026 montecarlo.in itself sold at 35% and 50% off. A price far below half of MRP is deeper than the owner was going that day.

Check 04

Note the seller of record

Sixteen of 20 records were sold by Flashtech Retail and four by Monte Carlo Fashions Limited. No page read carries a seller list.

The record in India

The one court matter in the documents read is the demerger. The trade-mark mirror describes registration No. 630095 as transferred under a “demerger scheme approved by the High Court of Punjab & Haryana on 20.05.2011”, formalised by an order of 22 March 2013: a sanctioned scheme with a date. Searches under the company’s name and its CIN on 29 September 2026 did not find any other decided court, tribunal or regulatory matter involving the company or the brand, and no wider litigation search was made. Beyond that dated scheme, nobody has ruled on anything described on this page.

Who Monte Carlo is actually for

Monte Carlo suits a buyer who wants a Ludhiana winter name with a listed owner behind it, who is content with a company that, by its own account of 19 May 2026, outsources 85% of its production to vendors across India, and who will buy at the sale price rather than the printed one, since 38 of the first 40 marketplace listings were reduced. It suits less well a buyer who wants a product warranty or a guaranteed bank refund on an ordinary return. A reader shopping the band for shirts and trousers will find Park Avenue and Van Heusen audited on this site.

The FA take

Monte Carlo is an unusually well-signed Indian brand. The owner is listed, the flagship marks are printed to it on the mirror, and its own unit’s address stood on all 20 marketplace records read on 29 September 2026.

By its own account of 19 May 2026, 85% of its production is outsourced to vendors across India. Its shop’s pages give a seven-day return and state no product warranty, and the policy page and the FAQ word the refund differently, so a buyer should read both.

Buy it at the sale price the owner itself charges, keep the seven-day clock in view, and read the pack for Unit-2 rather than for a factory.
