Being Human Brand Audit: Four Aces Licence, Made in India

Being Human clothing is sold by Four Aces Fashion House, which the foundation names as licensee. Who holds the name, where it is made, and Indian prices.
Being Human brand audit by FashionAudit: Being Human logo and the headline “Four Aces Licence, Made in India” over casual denim and a plain cotton t-shirt folded on a bright table

Being Human is three things sharing one name, with four bodies behind it on the documents read. It is a charity, the Being Human Foundation, which calls itself a registered charitable trust established in 2007; a clothing label sold at beinghumanclothing.com and on a large Indian fashion marketplace; and a pair of class 25 trade marks whose proprietor, on a register mirror, is an individual.

The company that signs for the clothes is Four Aces Fashion House Private Limited of Andheri East, Mumbai, incorporated on 30 December 2019. Read 29 September 2026, its name sat on the “Manufactured By” line of all 20 marketplace records opened. The listed company older reports attach to the label has been Heads UP Ventures Limited since 11 May 2022, and its annual report for the year to 31 March 2025 does not mention Being Human.

The short answer

Four bodies, one name: the class 25 marks are held by an individual proprietor on a register mirror, the charity is a trust, Four Aces Fashion House Private Limited runs the shop and is named on every pack read, and Heads UP Ventures Limited, licensee from August 2016, now sells its own brand, HUP. Returns run 15 days; no page read carries a warranty.

Who owns Being Human

Start with the trust, because the label is named for it. beinghumanonline.com calls the foundation “a registered charitable trust established in 2007”. A trust does not file on the companies register, so the company records below do not cover it.

Then the mark. Every trade-mark reading on this page is from a register mirror, quickcompany.in, not the official register. Two class 25 entries carry the name: No. 2183215, a device mark filed 1 August 2011, and No. 2676459, “Being Human”, filed 11 February 2014. Both read “Registered”. The proprietor shown on both is an individual, and No. 2183215 was renewed from 1 August 2021.

What a mirror entry settles is who may object to another trader using the words on garments, and from what date. It does not say who makes or sells the clothes; the documents below answer that.

How Being Human reaches the shelf

The shop, beinghumanclothing.com, has terms that say it is owned and operated by “Four Aces Fashion House Pvt. Ltd.”; the privacy policy gives the full name at ABR Emerald, Andheri East, Mumbai. The foundation’s shop page sends readers there. The site ships inside India only: “Currently, we do not offer any delivery or shipping outside the territory of India.” No document read names a distributor outside India.

Four Aces is a private company registered in Mumbai, and its revenue is not published in any document read. No dated store count was found either.

Being Human on the shelf

On a large Indian fashion marketplace, read 29 September 2026, the Being Human brand filter held 6,181 listings, with no neighbouring facet to keep out. Of the first 40 in the filter’s own order, 12 were jackets, 11 jeans, 7 T-shirts, 3 shirts and 2 track pants. The median MRP was ₹3,599 and the median paid ₹2,231, which is 62.0% of MRP; 29 of the 40 were reduced. One named listing: a Mandarin Collar Solid Leather Jacket, MRP ₹7,999, selling at ₹2,959.

The first 20 were opened one at a time. Seller of record: Indiflashmart on 13, Eshopbox Ecommerce Pvt Ltd on 4, Four Aces Fashion House Pvt LTD on 3. Country of origin: India on all 20. “Manufactured By”: Four Aces Fashion House Pvt. Ltd., ABR Emerald, Andheri East, on all 20. Importer: the same company on 16, blank on 4.

The seller of record is the party the listing prints against the buy button. The “Manufactured By” line names the party that has put its name to the goods under Indian packaging rules, the one a complaint about the contents goes to; the address there may be an office rather than a factory. Together they say who answers, not who sewed. Of ten brand filters read the same day, Being Human’s 62.0% sat third, behind R&B and Status Quo, on one day’s reading.

Where Being Human is made

Every declaration read says India: “Country of Origin: India” on the three product pages opened at beinghumanclothing.com, and India on all 20 marketplace records. No document read says whether Four Aces owns a factory or uses contract makers; its product pages print its Andheri East office as “Manufacturer/Marketed By”.

The about page names “Fairtrade Cotton”, “Recycled Cotton & Linen”, “PET Bottle Denim”, “Plantable Seed Tags” and “Responsible Packaging”, without naming a certifier, percentage or standard for them. The product pages give composition only, “100% Cotton” on a shirt and a polo and “95% Cotton 5% Ealstane” on a T-shirt, spelt as the page spelt it, with no GSM and no care text.

Four bodies on one name

For most Indian labels one question does the work: is the company on the register the company on the pack? Here four bodies share the name, in different roles.

BodyWhat the documents call itWhere it appears
An individual proprietorProprietor of Nos. 2183215 and 2676459, class 25, “Registered”The trade-mark register mirror
Being Human Foundation“a registered charitable trust established in 2007”Its own site; the party to the August 2016 agreement, per press reports of the exchange announcement
Four Aces Fashion House Private Limited“exclusive global licensee” (the foundation); site owner and operator (the terms); “Manufacturer/Marketed By” (product pages)Shop policies, product pages, 20 of 20 marketplace records
Heads UP Ventures Limited“the exclusive licensee to market, distribute and sell the products”, as Mandhana Retail Ventures Limited, 2016 press reportsThe register mirror; its own report for FY2024-25, which names HUP and not Being Human

Register mirrors, the two sites, press reports of August and September 2016, and the 14th Annual Report of Heads UP Ventures Limited, read 29 September 2026.

The licence’s history comes from dated documents. On 26 August 2016 an agreement was executed between the foundation and Mandhana Retail Ventures Limited; press reports of the exchange announcement quote it as making the company “the exclusive licensee to market, distribute and sell the products”. A trade report of 23 September 2019 described the agreement as “expiring in March 2020” and the company as “confident about the renewal”. On 12 August 2021 a trade journal wrote that “The license of the ‘Being Human Clothing label’ has been given to Four Aces Fashion House Pvt Ltd.” On 11 May 2022 the company took its third name, Heads UP Ventures Limited.

The listed company’s 14th annual report, for the year to 31 March 2025, describes a range of T-shirts, caps, hats, socks and underwear and “an outright purchase agreement with Reliance Retail Limited” for the brand “HUP”. Being Human does not appear in it.

Four Aces Fashion House Pvt. Ltd. is the exclusive global licensee for Being Human Clothing.

beinghumanonline.com, the Being Human Foundation’s shop page, read 29 September 2026.

The current licence’s terms are not published. The foundation says royalties “help support twin causes of Education and Healthcare of the underprivileged”.

Returns, warranty and who answers

Pay on beinghumanclothing.com and three pages divide what you hold. The refund policy gives 15 days from delivery for goods “unused, unworn, and in original condition” with “all tags, barcodes, and original packaging intact”, and returns prepaid money to the original mode of payment within 7–10 business days of a successful return; a cash-on-delivery order comes back as store credit after a quality check. The terms fix “the laws of the Republic of India”, give “the courts of Mumbai, India” exclusive jurisdiction, and say a legal manager handles complaints at legal@beinghumanclothing.com. The privacy policy designates a grievance officer, an individual whose name this page does not print.

None of the three carries a warranty. The seller is Four Aces, named in the terms and the privacy policy. The buyer has a 15-day return window, a legal manager’s email address and a designated grievance officer.

What Being Human costs in India

An Indian label has no foreign price to set beside it, and the site and the marketplace carried different garments on the day, so the two shelves are printed apart. Each product page on beinghumanclothing.com shows an MRP crossed out and a selling price.

ProductStyle codeMRPSelling price
Black Slim Fit Round Neck Men’s T-shirtBHTS25121₹1,499₹570 (62% off)
White Slim Fit Regular Collar Men’s ShirtBHMLSLV23508-White₹2,499₹875 (65% off)
Navy Regular Fit Men’s Polo T-shirtBHPLV25003-NAVY₹1,499₹600 (60% off)
Pack of 3 Men’s BriefsBHMUB26001₹1,399₹1,119.20
Dark Khaki Regular Fit Mid Rise Men’s Chino Pant, homepage——₹3,299 shown

beinghumanclothing.com, read 29 September 2026; the MRP is the compare-at figure each page shows crossed out. The homepage chino showed one price only.

Across the first eight products on the collections page read, every apparel item was 55% to 65% off, and most sizes of the three products opened were out of stock. The marketplace’s 40 listings, median MRP ₹3,599, were mostly jackets and jeans, heavier garments than the site’s T-shirts and shirts, so no gap between the two shelves is computed. For the shelf this label shares, this site’s pages on Allen Solly, Peter England and Flying Machine price three other Indian menswear names.

Checking a Being Human is genuine

Neither the label’s site nor the foundation’s publishes an authorised-seller list or an authenticity statement on the pages read. The checks below are the pack and the paperwork.

Check 01

Read the “Manufactured By” line

Four Aces Fashion House Pvt. Ltd., 13th Floor, ABR Emerald, Andheri East, on all 20 marketplace records read and on the site’s own product pages. Any other company in that field is worth querying with the seller.

Check 02

Look for the style code

The site’s codes begin BHTS, BHMLSLV, BHPLV and BHMUB. A code the brand’s own site does not know is one to ask about.

Check 03

Match origin and MRP to the pack

Every declaration read said India: three product pages on the brand’s site and 20 of 20 marketplace records. The site printed MRPs of ₹1,399 to ₹2,499 on the four items read.

Check 04

Note the seller of record

Four Aces was seller of record on 3 of the 20 records read. Keep the invoice from whichever seller it is; the 15-day policy is the brand’s own site’s.

The record in India

The dated record is short. The two class 25 marks read “Registered” on a register mirror, and the licence to Four Aces is dated by a trade journal of 12 August 2021.

Searches on 29 September 2026 did not find a tribunal or tax matter naming Heads UP Ventures Limited.

Who Being Human is actually for

Being Human suits a buyer who wants a mainstream Indian menswear label with a 15-day return on the brand’s own site and a named private company answerable on every pack read. A buyer who wants a listed owner with accounts to read has Van Heusen or Park Avenue on this site.

Common questions

Who owns the Being Human name?

Four Aces Fashion House Private Limited, Mumbai, incorporated 30 December 2019. It runs beinghumanclothing.com, is printed as “Manufacturer/Marketed By” on the site’s product pages and as “Manufactured By” on 20 of 20 marketplace records read on 29 September 2026. The FA take

Being Human involves more bodies than most Indian labels: the marks are held by an individual proprietor, the charity is a trust, and the company named on every pack read, Four Aces Fashion House, was incorporated in December 2019 and named as licensee by the trade press in 2021. The former licensee now sells its own HUP brand.

The buying is plainer than the paperwork. On 29 September 2026 the brand’s own site sold a T-shirt at ₹570 against ₹1,499, its collections page showed 55% to 65% off on every apparel item listed, and the marketplace paid a median 62.0% of MRP.

Buy it as everyday Indian menswear when the site’s 55% to 65% discounts are on, with a 15-day return on the brand’s own site; at full MRP it is harder to recommend.
