Dollar is the house brand of Dollar Industries Limited, a Kolkata company whose shares trade on the NSE under the symbol DOLLAR. Its 2025-26 annual report hangs a family on the word, from Dollar Man (Bigboss, J-Class) and Dollar Woman (Missy) to Dollar Junior (Champion) and Dollar Thermals, and the brand’s shop, dollarglobal.in, names Dollar Industries Ltd. in its terms, privacy and returns policies.
Read on 30 September 2026, the paperwork names two companies. The trade-mark register mirror prints a different company, Dollar Brands Private Limited, as proprietor of the class 25 DOLLAR marks, and the listed company’s own investor presentation says Dollar Brands “Owns the “Dollar” trademark”. That same day twenty marketplace declarations for the brand were opened: Dollar Industries signed all of them as “Manufactured By” and sold 13, while Dollar Brands appeared on none.
Two Kolkata companies share the Dollar name and one building, Om Tower on J. L. Nehru Road. Dollar Industries Limited, the listed one, reports four manufacturing units and ₹1,881 crore of operating income for the year to 31 March 2026, runs the website and signed every marketplace pack read. Dollar Brands Private Limited, a promoter-group company incorporated on 5 January 2021, is the proprietor the mirror prints on the DOLLAR clothing marks. On the pages read, the brand’s own site excludes briefs, trunks, vests and thermals from returns.

Who owns Dollar
On the business side the answer is one listed company. A register mirror at quickcompany.in shows Dollar Industries Limited as incorporated on 26 May 1993 under ROC Kolkata. Its 2025-26 annual report, filed with the NSE on 13 July 2026, places the registered office at “‘Om Tower’, 15th floor, 32, J. L. Nehru Road, Kolkata – 700 071”.
In the twelve months to 31 March 2026 that report says operating income “increased 10% over the previous year to ₹1,881 crore” and the “bottomline expanded 18% to ₹107 crore”, in wording the report presents as standalone. The investor presentation of 23 May 2026 gives the same year as ₹18,810 million and ₹1,074 million, so the two agree. These are company figures, not a number for any one line, and the documents read record no change of control. The word itself is another matter.
How Dollar reaches the shelf
Mostly through what the company calls general trade. The 2025-26 annual report counts “1,500+ Pan-India dealers”, “145,000+ Retail outlets nationwide”, a “1,024 Large-format store presence” and “1,500+ Dark-store presence through quick-commerce platforms”. Both the report and the May presentation give the same channel mix: “87% Domestic – General Trade; 5% E-Commerce; 3% Quick Commerce; 2% Modern Trade; 3% Export”. The presentation counts 17 exclusive brand outlets at March 2026.
- Dollar Brands Private LimitedThe mirror names it proprietor on the clothing-class DOLLAR marks; described in the listed company’s presentation as the company that “Owns the “Dollar” trademark”
- Dollar Industries LimitedFour units in Kolkata, Ludhiana, Tirupur and Delhi, by its 2025-26 annual report, plus two promoter-group job workers it names
- The packDollar Industries under “Manufactured By” on all 20 declarations opened on 30 September 2026
- The sale87% of the channel mix is domestic general trade; online, Dollar Industries runs dollarglobal.in and sold 13 of the 20 marketplace records
- The buyerInnerwear excluded from the site’s returns policy
Dollar on the shelf
A large Indian fashion marketplace showed a Dollar facet of 3,442 listings on 30 September 2026, with sub-lines in facets of their own: Dollar Missy 2,176, Dollar Bigboss 1,288, Dollar Socks 548, Dollar Champion Kidswear 331, Dollar Ultra 77 and Dollar Kids Care 20.
The facet’s first 40 were 18 briefs, 13 innerwear vests, 7 trunks and 2 T-shirts. Their median MRP, ₹385, was the lowest of the ten apparel and innerwear brands measured on that date; the median selling price was ₹298.50, which is 77.5% of that median MRP, and all 40 were marked down. A “Lehar Men Combed Cotton Round Neck Vest, Pack of 3” was ₹345 marked and ₹270 selling. Behind a Briefs filter, 30 listings gave ₹405 and ₹292, or 72.1%, with 27 reduced.
Twenty of those 40 were opened one by one. DOLLAR INDUSTRIES LTD was seller of record on 13 and Supercom Net on 7; origin read India on all 20. Every “Manufactured By” field named Dollar Industries: at Angeripalayam, Tiruppur, on 12, in two spellings, and at “SF NO-191, CHETTIPALAYAM VILLAGE, …” on 8. The importer field was blank on 18.
On dollarglobal.in the Bigboss trunk is “95% cotton modal and 5% spandex” and “Intellisoft”, and the Missy night suit “Ideal for sensitive skin”; neither page names a test or certifier behind those words.
Where Dollar is made
The company describes itself as integrated “from yarn to packaging” (2024-25 report). The 2025-26 report lists “4 Manufacturing units” in “Kolkata, Ludhiana, Tirupur and Delhi”, a “~300 million Annual garment manufacturing capacity (pieces)” and “42,000 Spindles supporting backward integration”. Those are capacities, not output.
Some work goes outside those four units. The May presentation names two promoter-group companies as job workers: Dindayal Texpro Private Limited, which does “Job work and makes leggings & kurtis using both Dollar-supplied & independent fabrics”, and Bhawani Yarns Private Limited, doing “Job work and garment manufacturing (leggings & kurtis) with sourced and Dollar fabrics”. No document read gives the outside share of production, and none names a foreign factory.
The pack adds less than it seems. Indian packaging rules use the “Manufactured By” field to identify the party answerable for the goods; it is a legal signature, not a factory gate. The report’s unit list names towns, not street addresses, so neither Tiruppur-area line is paired here with a unit, and no record says which unit or job worker sewed a given pack.
Who holds the Dollar trade marks
Every trade-mark detail here was read on quickcompany.in, which mirrors India’s trade-mark register and is not the register. It shows whose name stands on each application and the last status posted; it cannot show who makes anything or what agreements lie between companies.

Trade-mark mirror, quickcompany.in, read 30 September 2026. All class 25; Dollar Brands Private Limited printed as proprietor on each.
The oldest entry, No. 410586, began in 1983 with an individual as proprietor. The mirror records that “Dollar Brands Pvt. Ltd. became registered proprietor on 19 July 2021”. Dollar Brands shows on the companies mirror as incorporated on 5 January 2021 under ROC Kolkata, with paid-up capital of “43,030,000” and an activity line of “other business activities nec”. The mark pages put it on the 12th floor of Om Tower, the building where the listed company’s registered office is on the 15th; nothing is taken from that beyond the addresses. The listed company’s presentation describes it in one line.
Dollar Brands Private Limited – Owns the “Dollar” trademark; manages branding and trademark-related activities.
Dollar Industries Limited, investor presentation filed with the NSE on 23 May 2026, in its description of promoter-group companies and their roles; read 30 September 2026.
Neither that presentation nor the 2025-26 annual report, as read, states a licence or royalty between the two companies, so this page puts no terms on it.
The entries are hard to find, because “dollar” is an ordinary word: a search for it on the mirror reported “1,530 Matches”, 182 of them in class 25, and its first page showed no Dollar Industries mark. The listed company’s own mirror page carries class 25 marks without the word at all, such as Allsox, Soxbox and Mamoose. Separately, the 2025-26 report says the company “Retained licensing rights for Pepe Jeans innerwear and related categories”.
Returns, warranty and who answers
Whatever the register says, a buyer on dollarglobal.in deals with Dollar Industries Ltd., the company its returns page names, and the site gives two windows for reporting defects. The terms say “The website will only accept returns if a manufacturing defect is reported within 7 days of receipt of the product.” The returns page asks for damaged or defective products to be reported within 24 hours of receipt.
Innerwear falls outside the returns policy. The returns page states: “Return of innerwear items, namely brief, trunk, vest, panty, camisole and thermal is strictly not applicable under this policy.” On the marketplace, 38 of the facet’s first 40 were briefs, vests or trunks. Where a return is accepted, the refund starts “within 7 business days of receiving the product back”, to the original payment method, without shipping costs.
The four site pages read (terms, privacy, returns, contact) do not describe a product warranty, and they give a Kolkata head office address for contact. So a direct buyer has a day to report a defect, or seven by the terms, and a refund route for anything that is not underwear.
What Dollar costs in India
The company reports export revenue of “₹659 million”, but no foreign price for a Dollar product was read, so there is no overseas comparison. The brand’s own site showed these prices.
| Product, as titled on dollarglobal.in | Code | MRP | Selling price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dollar Bigboss Men’s Pack of 3 Shuffle Intellisoft Cotton Modal Solid Trunk | MJTR-15-DYNMO-PO3-CO3-S24 | ₹839 | ₹629 |
| Dollar Bigboss Men’s Pack of 5 Shuffle Intellisoft Cotton Modal Solid Trunk | Not read | ₹1,399 | ₹909 |
| Dollar MIssy Women’s Combed Cotton T-Shirt Capri Night Suit (Light Peach) | MMCC-861-LIGHT PEACH-PO1 | ₹1,351 | ₹810 |
dollarglobal.in, read 30 September 2026. The site’s search showed “1082 results” for “bigboss” and “1162 results” for “missy” that day.
The two trunk packs carry almost the same MRP per piece, ₹279.67 and ₹279.80, but at the selling price the three-pack works out to ₹209.67 a trunk and the five-pack to ₹181.80. The night suit sold at 59.96% of its MRP. The marketplace figure, a median price 77.5% of the median MRP, covers a different range, so the two are not a like-for-like comparison.
For comparison with basics sold through large Indian chains, this site has audited Max Fashion and Reliance Trends.
Checking a Dollar is genuine
The terms on dollarglobal.in carry no authenticity statement or authorised-seller list, so these checks rest on the records and the shop.
Look for Dollar Industries under “Manufactured By”
All twenty declarations opened named Dollar Industries, at Angeripalayam in Tiruppur or a Chettipalayam village address. Dollar Brands was on none.
Note the seller of record
DOLLAR INDUSTRIES LTD sold 13 of the twenty records read and Supercom Net 7.
Match the fabric line to the brand’s page
dollarglobal.in gives the Bigboss Shuffle Intellisoft trunk as “95% cotton modal and 5% spandex”. A listing using that name with a different blend departs from the brand’s own page.
Price it against dollarglobal.in
The three-pack of that trunk was ₹629 against an MRP of ₹839 on 30 September 2026. A price far below that sits under what the brand’s own site was charging.
The record in India
The trade-mark mirror dates Dollar Brands’ entry as proprietor of No. 410586 to 19 July 2021. In the annual reports and investor presentation read, this page did not find a change of control of Dollar Industries.
Who Dollar is actually for
Dollar suits a buyer filling a drawer with multipack briefs, vests and trunks at a few hundred rupees a pack, who wants a listed company’s name on every maker line. It suits less well anyone expecting to send back underwear that does not fit, since the brand’s site excludes innerwear from returns. The trade marks are held by a promoter-group company, Dollar Brands Private Limited, rather than the listed business. Those shopping for shirts and trousers as well can turn to this site’s audits of Van Heusen and Allen Solly.
Common questions
Which company is behind the Dollar brand?
Dollar Industries Limited, a Kolkata company listed on the NSE as DOLLAR, runs dollarglobal.in and was named under “Manufactured By” on every marketplace record read on 30 September 2026. The class 25 DOLLAR marks on the register mirror, though, print Dollar Brands Private Limited as proprietor.
Is Dollar Brands Private Limited part of Dollar Industries?
It is a separate private company. Dollar Industries’ investor presentation of 23 May 2026 lists it among promoter-group companies and says it “Owns the “Dollar” trademark”. The documents read state no licence or royalty between the two companies.
Where are Dollar innerwear packs made?
All twenty marketplace records read declared India. The company’s 2025-26 annual report lists units in Kolkata, Ludhiana, Tirupur and Delhi, and its presentation names two promoter-group job workers making leggings and kurtis.
Can I return Dollar underwear bought on dollarglobal.in?
Not under the returns page read on 30 September 2026, which says returns of brief, trunk, vest, panty, camisole and thermal are “strictly not applicable”. Damaged or defective products are to be reported within 24 hours of receipt, though the site’s terms give 7 days.
Is Pepe Jeans innerwear a Dollar brand?
No. The company’s 2025-26 annual report says it “Retained licensing rights for Pepe Jeans innerwear and related categories”. Pepe Jeans is a licensed name there, not a Dollar mark.

Dollar is easy to trace to the company that makes and sells it. Dollar Industries Limited signed every marketplace pack read on 30 September 2026, sold most of them, runs the website and publishes its revenue and capacity. A Bigboss three-pack of trunks was ₹629 on its site that day.
The trade mark sits with a sister company. The mirror names Dollar Brands Private Limited, a promoter-group company in the same Kolkata tower, as proprietor, and the listed company’s own presentation describes it as owning the “Dollar” trademark.
Buy Dollar for cheap, traceable basics from a company that signs every pack, and treat the size chart as final, because the brand’s site will not take innerwear back.
