Zebronics Brand Audit: 21 Smartwatches Advertising a BP Feature, 4 Carrying the Disclaimer

Zebronics is the brand of Zebronics India Private Limited, a Chennai company on the register since 1997 under an earlier name. What its watches cost in India, why all 21 of its smartwatch pages advertise a blood-pressure feature while only four carry the medical-purpose footnote, why nine pages declare India and twelve declare China, and what the standards register holds.

Zebronics is a brand name, and one Indian company stands behind it. The terms of service on zebronics.com say the site “is owned by Zebronics India Private Limited”, at 13/7, Smith Road, Royapettah, Chennai 600002, and the companies register carries that company under CIN U30000TN1997PTC038037 with the status “Active”.

A register mirror carries a previous name against the same registration number, 038037: Top Notch Infotronix (India) Private Limited. That is why the brand’s older press releases and public records read “Top Notch”. One company, two names.

Zebronics sells far more than watches, and this page audits the watches, because that is where the product makes a promise about the buyer’s body. Read on 24 September 2026, all 21 smartwatch pages in the brand’s own collection advertise a blood-pressure feature, and four print a line saying the product should not be used for medical purposes. Where that line sits is the finding.

The short answer

Zebronics is the brand of Zebronics India Private Limited, CIN U30000TN1997PTC038037, status “Active”, on the register since 23 April 1997 under an earlier name. On 24 September 2026 its store priced the Zeb Winter at ₹9,999 and the Zeb Fit S4 at ₹5,999, each marked “Tax included.” — not “MRP”, not “inclusive of all taxes”. All 21 of its smartwatch pages advertised a “BP monitor”; four carried the medical-purpose footnote, at the foot of the specifications table rather than beside the claim. Nine declared India as origin, twelve China.

The company behind Zebronics

Three of the company’s own pages name it, all read on 24 September 2026: the terms of service, naming “Zebronics India Private Limited … a company incorporated under the Companies Act , 1956”; the legal-metrology block on every smartwatch page, naming “Zebronics India Pvt Ltd.” at the Smith Road address; and the warranty policy, naming “The Service arm of Zebronics India Pvt Ltd (ZEBCARE)”.

The CIN gives three facts free. U marks an unlisted company, TN is Tamil Nadu, and PTC marks a private company rather than the FTC code used for a foreign company’s Indian subsidiary. No document read for this audit names anybody above it.

One company, two names on the record
  1. Top Notch Infotronix (India) Private LimitedIncorporated 23 April 1997, Chennai
  2. Press releases issued as “Top Notch”To at least 20 September 2014
  3. Zebronics India Private LimitedCIN U30000TN1997PTC038037, status “Active”

One registration number runs through all three.

Two register mirrors agree on the incorporation date, the registered office, the capital — authorised ₹4 crore against paid-up ₹3.28 crore — and on four directors, none named here. They are not consistent on the CIN’s activity segment: U30000, U30006 and U74110 all appear against the same registration number TN1997PTC038037. They disagree on the last annual general meeting, the balance-sheet date and the description of the company’s activity, so none of the three is printed. One carries revenue of ₹1,463.3 crore for FY2025, a figure a registry aggregator publishes rather than an audited account.

What Zebronics costs in India

The brand’s own store prints a price and a tax line, and the tax line is not the one Indian shoppers are used to. On 24 September 2026 the Zeb Winter page showed “₹ 9,999.00” as a “Sale price” with “Tax included.” beneath it, and the Zeb Fit S4 page showed “₹ 5,999.00” the same way. “MRP” and “inclusive of all taxes” appear on neither page.

Model Model code Price on zebronics.com Tax basis, as printed Country of origin, as declared
Zeb Winter ZEB-FIT i9 ₹9,999 “Tax included.” “Country of Origin: India”
Zeb Fit S4 ZEB-FIT S4 ₹5,999 “Tax included.” “Country of Origin: People’s Republic of China”
Circle ZEB-FIT I5 ₹7,999 Not read separately India in one block, China in the other
Zeb-Fit Me, on Flipkart Older model ₹2,199 against “₹4,999” No tax wording read None printed on the listing

Every figure above was read on 24 September 2026, on the page named beside it.

Watch tiers here run Budget under ₹3,000, Mid ₹3,000–15,000, Premium ₹15,000–1,00,000 and Luxury above that. This audit places Zebronics at Mid on those two store prices, ₹9,999 and ₹5,999, and the basis holds across the range: the whole collection that day ran ₹3,999 to ₹11,499, so every watch sits inside one band.

No foreign price sits beside them. Zebronics publishes no non-Indian store and no international price list that could be found, and searches in the UAE, Nepal and Sri Lanka showed third-party retailers rather than the brand. This site audits the Indian watch shelf brand by brand, Apple Watch, Noise and boAt included, and usually sets the Indian price against the brand’s own price elsewhere. That comparison cannot be run here.

Two other shelves add no price. The Flipkart listing in the table prints no importer, packer, origin or registration number. On the fashion marketplace this site reads for declarations, 18 listings carry the Zebronics brand value — power banks, headphones and speakers — and not one is a watch, so nothing there can price or tier this brand.

What the watches claim, and where the disclaimer sits

Every product in the brand’s own Smart Watch collection was opened on 24 September 2026 and its feature list read. There are 21, and all 21 advertise a blood-pressure feature. The Zeb Winter page opens its list with “Heart rate, SpO2 & BP monitor”, the Zeb Fit S4 page prints “Heart Rate, SpO2, & BP Monitor”, the Zeb Fit S2 page “Heart rate, SpO2 & BP monitor”.

No ECG, no irregular-rhythm notification and no temperature feature appears on any of the 21, and no feature is described as restricted or disabled in India. This page prints the claims and says nothing about what any of these watches measures.

Four of the 21 pages carry a disclaimer, quoted here as each page prints it.

Model The footnote, exactly as printed Where it sits on the page
Zeb Fit S1 “*This Product Should not be used for Medical Purpose, through it may monitor the BP, SpO2, Heart Rate” Foot of the specifications table, below the country-of-origin row
Zeb Fit S2 “*This Product Should not be used for medical purpose, though it may monitor the BP, SpO2, Heart rate” Foot of the specifications table, below the country-of-origin row
Unbeatable 3 “* This product should not be used for medical purpose, though it may monitor the BP, SpO2, Heart rate.” Foot of the specifications table, below the country-of-origin row
Unbeatable 2 “* This product should not be used for medical purpose, though it may monitor the BP, SpO2, Heart rate.” Foot of the specifications table, below the country-of-origin row

All four read 24 September 2026. The Zeb Fit S1 page prints “through it may monitor” where the other three print “though”.

This product should not be used for medical purpose, though it may monitor the BP, SpO2, Heart rate.

The position is the point. On all four pages that sentence is an asterisked footnote at the bottom of the specifications table, under the country-of-origin row and above the legal-metrology block — a long way down from the feature strip at the top, where the blood-pressure claim is made.

The other 17 pages, the Zeb Winter and the Zeb Fit S4 among them, carry no such line, and nor does anything else the brand publishes: its questions block, terms of service and warranty policy carry none.

Those counts rest on a search that could find the sentence where it existed: all 21 pages were searched for “not a medical device”, “medical device”, “diagnos”, “not intended” and “consult a doctor”, and it found the footnote on four. The 17 blanks are blanks in the pages.

Where Zebronics says its watches are made

The company’s own words come first. Its About page says Zebronics is “Aligned with the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives” and that “We continue to strengthen local manufacturing, partnering with local OEMs”. It runs a collection described as “Quality products built in India for India”, carrying 394 products on 24 September 2026, nine of them smart watches.

The declarations are the company’s own words too. Of the 21 smartwatch pages, nine print “Manufactured & Marketed by: Zebronics India Pvt Ltd.” with “Country of Origin: India”, and twelve print “Imported & Marketed by” with “Country of Origin: People’s Republic of China”. The nine are exactly the nine watches inside the Made in India collection, and no packer is named on any of the 21.

The 21 smartwatch pages, read 24 September 2026
  • 21 of 21Advertise a “BP monitor” feature
  • 4 of 21Carry the medical-purpose footnote
  • 9 of 21Declare “Country of Origin: India”
  • 12 of 21Declare “People’s Republic of China”
  • 2 pagesName two countries in two places

Every line is the brand’s own published declaration, on its own site, on one day.

Two pages are worth setting out. On the Zeb Fit S2 page the specifications table prints “Country of origin PRC” while the legal-metrology block lower down prints “Country of Origin: India”, and that model is one of the nine in the Made in India collection. On the Circle, the ZEB-FIT I5 at ₹7,999, the specifications table prints India while the block prints “People’s Republic of China”. Both were read on 24 September 2026, and this audit offers no reason for the difference.

The company names no factory of its own: no plant, address or capacity figure appears anywhere it publishes. A press release of 20 September 2014, under the earlier name, describes “empanelled OEMs to manufacture to our specifications” at facilities “located both in India and overseas”.

What the standards register shows

The standards body’s public registration list can be searched by brand, and on 24 September 2026 a search on this brand string showed 197 entries: by country, 133 in China, 63 in India and one in the Philippines; by status, in the register’s own words, 117 “Registered”, 76 “Expired”, two “Cancelled” and two “Deferred”. A nonsense brand string run in the same session showed no entries, so these counts are readings. Six of the 197 are smartwatch registrations, all against IS 13252(Part 1):2010.

Registration number Manufacturer, as the register names it Country Status Valid to
R-41119750 Shenzhen Xinge Technology Co., Limited China “Expired” 27-02-2021
R-41121908 Shenzhen Xinge Technology Co., Limited China “Expired” 19-03-2021
R-41183261 Shenzhen Tomstar Technology Co., Ltd. China “Expired” 14-03-2025
R-41204293 Shenzhen Do Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. China “Expired” 05-10-2023
R-41261998 Shenzhen Smart Care Technology Limited China “Registered” 25-07-2027
R-61003301 AJZ Industries Private Limited India “Registered” 13-12-2026

Read from the standards register on 24 September 2026, every field in the register’s own words.

Two readings follow and neither is a verdict. The one Indian smartwatch registration carrying this brand string is held by AJZ Industries Private Limited, a name from a public register, sitting beside the company’s own sentence about partnering with local OEMs. Across the whole 197-row set, no registration names Zebronics India Private Limited, or the earlier name, as manufacturer.

The other half is what a buyer cannot do with it. All 21 smartwatch pages were searched for a registration number and for the standard, and none publishes one; nor does the Flipkart listing. The register links a brand string to a factory and a product category, not a number to a model on a shelf, so nothing here says whether a watch on sale today is covered.

The medical-devices regulator

The regulator’s online system was opened on 24 September 2026 and its public approved-device list read in both its manufacturer and its import views. Neither showed a table of records that day, for this company or anyone else, and site-restricted searches of its two domains showed no company record. No registration record was read — a statement about what was published, not about whether anything is registered, and with no positive control behind it.

The company’s own filing choices sit on the same line from the other side. Its warranty policy runs a separate “ZEBRONICS RANGE OF MEDICAL PRODUCTS” — thermometer, pulse oximeter, oxygen concentrator — while smart watches sit under “ZEBRONICS RANGE OF TELECOM ACCESSORIES”, and a trade-mark mirror carries a class 10 mark for “Medical Apparatus And Instruments” beside the class 9 mark for its computing goods.

The advertising record

A search of the advertising council’s complaint-outcome, non-contested and direct-violation registers on 24 September 2026, under “Zebronics” and “Top Notch Infotronix”, showed no matter naming Zebronics India Private Limited. A control search in the same session showed rows for a company with a known record, so the zero is a reading and not a failed query.

The court record

The Indian judgments database showed 53 documents for “Zebronics” and 37 for the earlier name on 24 September 2026. Two were read in full, so this audit makes no claim about the brand’s court record overall.

One decided matter is reportable. In the High Court of Judicature at Madras, C.S.(Comm.Div.) No. 241 of 2022, decided on 20 February 2023, the company brought a suit on its registered trade mark No. 1519852, the class-9 logo mark, seeking a permanent injunction. Both sides appeared and filed a Joint Memorandum of Compromise, in which the defendant undertook “to cease and desist from using plaintiff’s logo in any manner for its goods and services at any point of time in future”, with leave to sell existing stock “by the coming next 4 months ending 31st May 2023”.

The order is short: “This Civil Suit is decreed in terms of the Joint Memorandum of Compromise … No costs.” That is a settlement the court put into a decree, on that matter as it then stood, not a contested finding on the merits, and it binds nothing beyond the parties and the mark before the court. Nobody has ruled on anything else about this brand in the material read here, and no individual is named.

Warranty and what happens when it breaks

The published period is one year — “SMART WATCHES 1 Year”, under the telecom-accessories heading — against six months for the cables, adaptors and power banks in the same policy, which warns that “Warranties might differ across all models”.

Repair is the ordinary route, not replacement. A dead-on-arrival claim inside 15 days earns “a brand new replacement”; after that the service types are carry-in and, “applicable only in selective cities only”, onsite, whose charges run from ₹150 for the first 25 km to ₹550 for 126 to 150 km.

Cover ceases where a product “is not purchased from Zebronics or its Authorised Sales channel” — and the site publishes no list of authorised sellers, while the “Shop Now” button on its own product pages sends the buyer to Flipkart.

For a watch, the absent clauses matter as much as the present ones: the policy names no battery or strap term, and water damage is not a named exclusion, though the condition that the circuit board must not be “water-logged” bears on it.

What a buyer can check

Read the specifications table and the legal-metrology block against each other, because on this brand they can differ: on two of the 21 watches they named two different countries. The same lines are printed on the box, so turn it over before you pay.

Then read the price line and the claim strip together. “Tax included.” is the wording the store prints, and the invoice is where to ask for a figure inclusive of all taxes. The blood-pressure claim sits at the top of the page; on 17 of the 21 watches nothing on that page qualifies it, and on the other four the qualification is a footnote under the specifications — read line by line, the way this site reads any watch specification page.

Common questions

Who owns Zebronics?

The brand belongs to Zebronics India Private Limited, CIN U30000TN1997PTC038037, a Chennai company incorporated on 23 April 1997 with the register status “Active”. A register mirror carries its previous name as Top Notch Infotronix (India) Private Limited against the same registration number. No listed parent, ticker or exchange exists for it, and no filing read names anyone above it.

Do Zebronics watches measure blood pressure?

This page does not answer that, and it will not. What it can tell you is what the brand publishes: all 21 smartwatch pages in its own collection advertised a “BP monitor” feature on 24 September 2026, and four carried a footnote reading that the product “should not be used for medical purpose, though it may monitor the BP, SpO2, Heart rate”. The other 17 carried no such line.

Are Zebronics watches made in India?

Some are declared so and most are not. On the brand’s own 21 smartwatch pages, nine declare “Manufactured & Marketed by” with “Country of Origin: India” and twelve declare “Imported & Marketed by” with “Country of Origin: People’s Republic of China”. The nine are the nine inside the brand’s Made in India collection. Two pages name two different countries in two different blocks.

Is there a registration number on a Zebronics watch?

Not on anything published. None of the 21 product pages prints one, and the marketplace listing read printed none either. The standards register itself holds 197 entries under the brand string, six of them smartwatch registrations — five at Chinese factories and one, R-61003301, held in India by AJZ Industries Private Limited. Nothing published links any of those numbers to a particular model on sale.

What does the warranty cover?

One year on a smart watch, against defects in materials and workmanship, with carry-in repair the ordinary route after the first 15 days. Onsite service is “applicable only in selective cities only” and carries distance charges from ₹150. Cover ceases where the product was not bought from the company or an authorised sales channel, and no list of authorised sellers is published.

The FA take

Zebronics answers the ownership question better than most names on this shelf: one company, one CIN a reader can look up, a registered office matching the address on the listing, a previous name carried on the register, and a legal-metrology block on all 21 watch pages. At ₹9,999 and ₹5,999 the prices are plain.

The claim layer is where the paperwork thins. Twenty-one watch pages advertise a blood-pressure feature and four carry the sentence placing the product outside medical use — a footnote under the specifications table, not a line beside the claim. Nine pages declare India and twelve declare China under a brand running a Made in India collection, and two name two countries in two blocks on one page. No registration number is printed on any listing.

Buy it as a ₹5,999 fitness watch and the company behind it is easier to find than most; buy it for the blood-pressure strip at the top of the page, and the sentence you need is 17 times out of 21 not on that page at all.
