Galaxy Watch is not a company. It is a product line of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a Korean company established as Samsung Electronics Industry Co., Ltd. on 13 January 1969 and listed on the Korea Stock Exchange since 11 June 1975.
Samsung’s own business report for the year ended 31 December 2025 names “wearables” as a Device eXperience Division product category. It names no Galaxy Watch and carries no revenue line for smartwatches.
India is where this page earns its keep, twice over. The watch sold here is declared made in Noida by a different company altogether, and four of Samsung’s own pages give four accounts of which health features India is cleared for.
Samsung publishes no Galaxy Watch figure of any kind: the watch sits inside a segment Samsung labels “MX / NW”, which took KRW 129.5 trillion in FY2025 alongside smartphones, tablets and network systems. In India the MRP on Samsung’s own store is ₹41,999 for the Watch8 44 mm Bluetooth and ₹45,999 for the LTE, both read on 24 September 2026. Four sources read that day declare the watch made in India by Dixon Technologies, Noida, and the Bureau of Indian Standards carries a “Smart watches” registration in that same company’s name at that same address.

What Samsung publishes about the watch, and what it does not
Samsung’s results release of 29 January 2026 gives “KRW 333.6 trillion in annual revenue” and “KRW 43.6 trillion in operating profit” for the year to 31 December 2025. Its one sentence touching wearables is about a whole division: “The MX Business achieved double-digit annual profit in 2025 through flagship growth and stable sales of tablets and wearables, although smartphone sales declined in Q4 as new model launch effects normalized.”

There is no wearables row, no smartwatch row and no Galaxy Watch row in that table. Every unit or market-share number a reader meets for this watch comes from a research house rather than from Samsung, and this page prints none.
Who sells Samsung Galaxy Watch in India
Samsung’s own Terms of Use name the operator of the Indian shop: the site “is provided and operated by Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. … having its registered office located at 6th Floor, DLF Centre, Sansad Marg, New Delhi-110001.” The Indian privacy policy adds a working address in Gurugram and prints the same CIN.
That CIN is worth reading letter by letter. U for unlisted, DL for Delhi, 1995 for the year, and PTC — an ordinary private limited company, rather than the FTC code used for a foreign company’s subsidiary. That is how the company was filed in 1995, not a statement about who holds its shares now, which no document read for this audit gives. Paid-up capital of the order of ₹216.79 crore and a turnover line of ₹1,14,217 crore for the year to 31 March 2025 mark it as an operating seller rather than a buying office — what a register mirror carries, not accounts read here.
The mirrors themselves do not agree: the status reads “Active” on one and “Active Private Limited Company” on the other, the last annual meeting 11 September 2023 against 25 September 2025, the director count five against six. Neither is the register itself, so both readings stand and neither is preferred. This site reads the same register for every watch brand it audits, boAt, Noise and Apple Watch included.
For service, Samsung India publishes a helpline, “1-800-5-7267864”, and offers priority booking “For Mobile/Tablet/Wearable”. It publishes no count of service centres and names no company operating them, so this page gives no centre number.
Where a Samsung Galaxy Watch is made
Samsung’s Indian manufacturing is well documented for telephones, which is exactly why this section rests on nothing but the watch’s own paperwork. Four commercial sources and one register, read on 24 September 2026, agree.
Samsung’s own Indian buy page for the Galaxy Watch8 44 mm Bluetooth prints, under “Manufacturer’s Information”, the line “Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd., Plot No.6, Sector 90, Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, U.P. India – 201305” and “Country of Origin — India”. Croma’s listing for the same model runs manufacturer, importer and marketer into one field and puts Dixon in all three, declaring “Country of Origin” as India and “Country of Brand Origin” as South Korea. Reliance Digital names Dixon as manufacturer, packer and marketer, declares origin India, and prints the importer as “NA”. All nine Samsung smart-watch listings on the Indian marketplace declare origin India and the same Dixon address, with the importer line blank on all nine and Vision Star as seller of record.

Four commercial declarations and one register entry, all naming Plot No. 6, Sector 90.
The register entry is the one Samsung did not write. On the Bureau of Indian Standards’ compulsory-registration list, R-93021970 names Dixon Technologies (India) Limited at “PLOT NO. 6, SECTOR-90, NOIDA, GAUTAM BUDDHA NAGAR, UTTAR PRADESH, 201305” for the product “Smart watches” under the brand “SAMSUNG (stylized)”, granted 13 October 2022, status “Registered”, valid to 12 October 2026. Same company, same plot, same product as the listings name.
Two cautions belong beside that. No document read for this audit — no Samsung announcement, no Dixon announcement — describes watch production at that plant; the announcements found relate to telephones and televisions. And none of the four Indian listings read that day prints a registration number on it, which is a reading about what those pages carry and nothing more.
What Samsung Galaxy Watch costs in India
Samsung sets both prices, so this is a like-for-like pair from one seller, each side keeping its own tax wording and nothing converted between them.

Samsung’s Indian and American buy pages and the Indian configurator, all read 24 September 2026.
Those MRPs set the band. Watch tiers here run from Budget under ₹3,000 to Luxury above ₹1,00,000, so ₹41,999 and ₹45,999 put the Galaxy Watch in Premium. The marketplace agrees: across the nine Samsung smart-watch listings read on 24 September 2026 the median MRP is the same ₹41,999, and the median paid is ₹36,999, or 88.1 per cent of MRP.
One figure sits apart. Reliance Digital’s listing, for what its own title calls the same 44 mm Bluetooth watch, prints an MRP of ₹35,999 marked “Inclusive of all taxes” and then a reduction to ₹20,799, where Samsung’s store prints ₹41,999. Two sellers, one model, one day; this page records both and picks neither. Ask the shop to show you the MRP on the box.
The health claims, and where the qualifications sit
This is a watch that makes promises about the buyer’s body, so the fair thing is to print the claim, print the qualification, and say where each sits on the page.
On Samsung’s Indian page for the Galaxy Watch8 the claims are in display type. Blood pressure: “Keep an eye on your blood pressure … Calibrate your Galaxy Watch8 and start your measurement with the Samsung Health Monitor app to check your blood pressure, including both systolic and diastolic readings.” Sleep apnea, in the headline itself: “With FDA-authorized sleep apnea risk detection, detect signs of moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea by looking for oxygen saturation dips overnight with Galaxy Watch8.”
The qualifications are superscript numbers — “23,24,25,26” beside the blood-pressure block, “12, 13, 14” beside the sleep-apnea one — and the text they point to sits behind a “view more” control at the foot of the section. The claim is in the headline; the limit is one click away.
Blood Pressure app is not intended for any diagnostic purposes regarding hypertension or other heart conditions or users under 22 years old.
The footnotes carry more than that. Both the blood-pressure and the ECG notes describe the app as “Software as a medical device (SaMD)” and say availability “may vary by country or region” because of “country restrictions in obtaining approval/registration”. The sleep-apnea footnote says only that the feature is “currently available in some selected countries only”, and the Indian page publishes no country list for it.
One phrase deserves its own sentence. “FDA-authorized” names a United States regulator, in a headline printed on samsung.com/in, above a footnote that names no country at all.
What the Indian regulator record shows
Samsung’s Indian Samsung Health Monitor page publishes country lists, and India appears on three of them: the Blood Pressure app, the ECG app and Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification, each “Available only on Galaxy Watch4 and later released models (excl. Galaxy Fit)”. The same page states the gate plainly — the app “only works on watches and smartphones purchased in the country/region where the service is currently available” — and adds that the ECG app “is a ‘medical device’ in country/region where registration/approval is required and obtained.”
Samsung India’s own newsroom release of 15 January 2024 names the Indian regulator outright: the two features “have received regulatory clearances and certifications from India’s Central Drugs Standard Control Organization”. No qualifying sentence appears at the foot of that release.
Three other Samsung pages read differently. The Samsung Health Monitor listing served on the Indian country code says “The Blood Pressure App, ECG App and Sleep Apnea Feature are a CE-marked medical device” — a European conformity mark — and names no Indian regulator. A Samsung support article published for another region, answering which countries support the ECG feature, does not name India on it. Samsung’s Indian ECG support page carries “Last Updated: Aug 15. 2023”, five months before the January 2024 launch here, and says “The ECG function may not be available in some countries.” All four pages are Samsung’s own, printed here side by side.
The published registers add a fifth reading. No record naming the Galaxy Watch or the Samsung Health Monitor app was read in the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization’s published approved-device lists on 24 September 2026, while Samsung’s Indian release of 15 January 2024 states that the features have that organisation’s clearances. Those lists hold 25,748 and 79,676 records and they are readable: Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. itself appears in the import list as the holder of “Licence no: IMP/MD/2022/000221”, against eighteen entries, every one a Samsung Medison ultrasound system — hospital imaging equipment, not the watch. A clearance can exist in a form those two lists do not carry.
Warranty and service, as published for India
Twelve months, and the remedy is repair rather than replacement. Samsung’s Indian warranty page gives a wearable a “Warranty Period 12 Months” with “Type of Service – Repair service carried at Samsung authorized service center”, covers the in-box battery for twelve months, and requires that repairs “be carried out by the company authorized personnel only.” To claim it, “Proof of purchase is a pre-requisite.”
The exclusions are mostly ordinary and one is unusually specific. Cover does not apply where “The product is not purchased from an Authorized Samsung sales dealer”, where defects are “caused by improper use, as determined by the Authorized Service Center”, where the product “has failed under certain conditions/types (example: Waterlogging, misuse, etc.)”, or for “Defects caused by household pets, rats, cockroaches or any other animals”. On a watch worn through a monsoon, the water clause is the one to read twice.
Buying abroad carries a published consequence: “Products that are not sold by Samsung in India will be termed as ‘Overseas Product(s)’. Such Overseas Products can be repaired at the Samsung Service Centers with cost.” Croma publishes the same twelve months, calls the service “Carry-In”, and excludes “Physical Damage”; Reliance Digital publishes “1 Year”.
The record
Searching the Indian case database on 24 September 2026, the phrases “Samsung” with “Galaxy Watch”, and “Samsung India Electronics” with “smartwatch”, both showed nothing. Three results surfaced under “Samsung India Electronics” with “smart watch”; none of the three concerns a Samsung watch. The same database shows 8,596 documents for “Samsung India Electronics” alone, so the nil on the watch strings is a reading rather than a broken search.
The advertising register carries one matter naming the Indian company, and it is about a telephone. Case 2026-1-6-1-C.51591 names Samsung India Electronics Private Limited and the product Samsung Galaxy A17 5G — a holiday-sale price claim carrying a bank-card condition — and records the outcome in the register’s own word, “Upheld”, on a record updated 19 May 2026. A search of the complaint-outcome, non-contested and direct-violation registers that day, under “Samsung” and “Samsung India Electronics”, found that one matter and nothing else; a control search in the same session showed rows for a company with a known record, so the count is a reading and not a failed query. That decision was about one telephone advertisement as it then stood. It is not a standing ban on any form of words, nobody has ruled on any Galaxy Watch page, and the body that decided it is a self-regulatory industry council rather than a statutory regulator.
Samsung’s own listing declares the country of origin as India and a manufacturer in Noida, and in the same block names an importer. Both lines are Samsung’s, printed here as published. The declaration on the box travels with your watch, so turn it over before you pay.

Is the Samsung Galaxy Watch made in India?
Every Indian source read on 24 September 2026 says so. Samsung’s own store, Croma, Reliance Digital and all nine marketplace listings declare the country of origin as India and name Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd., Plot No. 6, Sector 90, Noida as the manufacturer. The Bureau of Indian Standards carries registration R-93021970 for “Smart watches” under the Samsung brand in that same company’s name at that same address, status “Registered”.
Does the ECG app work on a Galaxy Watch in India?
Samsung’s Indian Samsung Health Monitor page lists India for the ECG app, the Blood Pressure app and Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification, on Galaxy Watch4 and later. Samsung India’s release of 15 January 2024 says the features carry clearances from India’s Central Drugs Standard Control Organization. What does a Galaxy Watch cost in India?
On Samsung’s own Indian store, read 24 September 2026, the Galaxy Watch8 44 mm Bluetooth carries “MRP: ₹ 41999.00 (Incl. of all taxes)” and is offered at ₹35,999; the LTE version is ₹45,999 and ₹39,999. The same watch in the United States is $289.99, with the American page stating “Excludes taxes and shipping.” Reliance Digital prints an MRP of ₹35,999 for what its title calls the same model.
What does the warranty actually cover?
Twelve months on the watch and twelve on the in-box battery, with the published remedy being repair at a Samsung authorised service centre and proof of purchase required. It excludes water damage, improper use as determined by the service centre, normal wear and tear, purchases from a dealer Samsung has not authorised, and damage by household pets or rodents.
Will a Galaxy Watch bought abroad be serviced here?
Yes, at a price. Samsung’s Indian warranty page says products not sold by Samsung in India are “Overseas Product(s)” and “can be repaired at the Samsung Service Centers with cost.” The saving on a foreign price list is real, and so is the repair bill that is not covered.

On the question this site asks first — where was it made, and who is answerable for it — the Galaxy Watch answers in documents a buyer can look up. Four commercial declarations and one government register name the same company at the same Noida plot for the same product, and the MRP on Samsung’s own store is a rupee figure marked inclusive of all taxes rather than a price on request. At ₹41,999 you are buying a watch whose paperwork you can follow, and the marketplace pays 88.1 per cent of that sticker.
The health layer is where the buyer has to work. The claims are display type and the limits sit behind a “view more”; an Indian page headlines an American regulator’s authorisation for a feature whose own footnote names no country; and Samsung’s Indian app page, its newsroom release, its Galaxy Store listing and a support article written for another region give four accounts of which features India is cleared for. Meanwhile Reliance Digital prints an MRP of ₹35,999 where Samsung’s store prints ₹41,999, for what it calls the same model.
