Apple Watch is not a company. It is one product line inside Apple Inc., listed on Nasdaq as AAPL, and Apple reports it inside a category called Wearables, Home and Accessories — the line that also carries AirPods, Apple TV, HomePod, Vision Pro and every cable Apple sells.
That line took $35,686 million in the 52 weeks to 27 September 2025, against $37,005 million the year before, in a year Apple’s own release calls a record, with “revenue reaching $416 billion”. No Apple Watch revenue or unit figure appears in the filings.
India is where this page earns its keep. Apple sells the watch here itself, at its own prices, under its own Indian company’s terms — and one health feature Apple names on the newest models is not switched on here yet.
Apple Watch has no figures of its own: Apple reports Wearables, Home and Accessories as one line, $35,686 million in FY2025, and publishes no Apple Watch number at all. In India the seller of record is Apple India Private Limited, CIN U30007KA1996PTC019630, with six Apple Stores and MRPs from ₹29,900 to ₹1,09,900 read on 23 September 2026. ECG and irregular-rhythm notifications work here, but Apple’s own footnote says Hypertension Notifications “will not be initially available in India” on Series 12 or Ultra 4.

What Apple publishes about Apple Watch, and what it does not
Apple reports net sales in five categories, and its 10-K for the year to 27 September 2025 defines the one the watch sits in: “Wearables includes smartwatches, wireless headphones and spatial computers”, with Home covering Apple TV and HomePod and Accessories covering “Apple-branded and third-party accessories”. The smartwatch therefore shares a reported line with headphones, a television box, a speaker, a headset and the cables. Apple stopped publishing unit shipments years ago, so every Apple Watch sales or units figure a reader meets comes from an outside estimator, and this page prints none.
| Reported category, US$ million | FY2025, 52 weeks to 27 Sep 2025 | FY2024 |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone | 209,586 | 201,183 |
| Mac | 33,708 | 29,984 |
| iPad | 28,023 | 26,694 |
| Wearables, Home and Accessories | 35,686 | 37,005 |
| Services | 109,158 | 96,169 |
| Total net sales | 416,161 | 391,035 |
| Net income | 112,010 | 93,736 |
Apple’s fourth-quarter FY2025 results release, filed as an exhibit to a Form 8-K on 30 October 2025.
Two facts sit beside each other: Apple’s total net sales rose to $416,161 million in FY2025, and the Wearables, Home and Accessories line fell from $37,005 million to $35,686 million. Apple gives no reason specific to the watch, because it gives no watch figure to explain.
There is no India number either. The 10-K says “Europe includes European countries, as well as India, the Middle East and Africa”, so India sits inside a segment that reported $111,032 million in FY2025. The only India money figure comes from the companies register: one mirror, on a page stating it was updated 23 December 2025, carries operating revenue of ₹79,378 crore for FY2025 — what a mirror carries, not an audited account read for this page.
Who sells Apple Watch in India
This site audits the Indian watch shelf brand by brand, from Casio to Timex. Apple’s Indian chain is short: it owns the Indian company, the Indian website and six Indian shops, and no licensee or distributor stands between Apple and a buyer at retail.
The company is Apple India Private Limited, CIN U30007KA1996PTC019630, incorporated on 19 January 1996 and carrying the status “Active”. The register classes it PTC, a private limited company, not the FTC code it uses for a foreign company’s subsidiary — a fact about how it was filed in 1996 rather than about who holds its shares today, and no document read gives the shareholding.
Its paid-up capital is ₹3,50,020 — three and a half lakh rupees, not a missing zero — on a company whose mirrored revenue runs to tens of thousands of crores, which is ordinary for an arm funded through current account rather than equity. This is no buying office: Apple India Private Limited is the named seller on Apple’s own Indian sales terms, online and in the shops.
Two register mirrors still carry an older Bangalore address and a 2023 balance sheet; where a mirror and Apple’s signed terms differ, this page follows the terms. What the Indian pages do not carry is a name: no grievance or nodal officer appears on the sales and refunds policy, the retail sales policy or the privacy policy as served to India, all read on 23 September 2026. The published contact is the Apple Contact Center, 000800 040 1966.

What Apple Watch costs in India
Because Apple sets both prices, this is a rarity on this site: two figures from the same seller, side by side with each side’s own tax wording, and no conversion or gap calculated between them. Ultra 4 is the cleanest pair: one case size, one material, cellular only.
| Model, as configured | United States, as printed | India, as printed | Tax basis, in the seller’s words |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ultra 4, 49 mm titanium, GPS + Cellular | From $799 | ₹1,09,900 | US: “Sales tax may be assessed on full value of a new device purchase.” India: “Listed pricing is Maximum Retail Price (inclusive of all taxes).” |
| Series 12, entry aluminium, GPS | From $399 | From ₹56,900 | Same wording on each side as above |
| SE 3, aluminium, GPS | From $249 | From ₹29,900 | Same wording on each side as above |
Apple’s American and Indian buy pages, read 23 September 2026. Apple’s Indian announcement of 9 September 2026 carries the same figure: “Apple Watch Series 12 starts at INR56900.”
One thing those “From” prices do not tell you is which watch they are. Series 12 comes in two sizes, three case materials and two connections; Apple’s Indian comparison page ties the lower figure to the aluminium GPS option, but no Apple page read for this audit prints the case size that starting price applies to.
Those MRPs set this audit’s band. Watch tiers here run from Budget under ₹3,000 to Luxury above ₹1,00,000, and the tier follows the core line rather than the flagship: on Apple’s own Indian MRP, Series 12 at ₹56,900 and SE 3 at ₹29,900 put Apple Watch in Premium, with Ultra 4 above the band on its own.
ECG in India, and the one notification that is not switched on
Apple’s India feature-availability page for watchOS 27 lists India under ECG, Irregular Rhythm Notification and Sleep Apnoea Notifications. ECG and irregular heart rhythm notification arrived here on 19 September 2019, and Apple’s 2026 footnote limits the ECG app to “Apple Watch Series 4 and later (excluding Apple Watch SE models) and all Apple Watch Ultra models”, for users aged 22 and over.
Read that against the price list: the cheapest Apple Watch on sale in India, the SE 3 at ₹29,900, has no ECG at all. Apple is also plain about the limits of the app it does supply — “The ECG app does not detect a heart attack, blood clots, a stroke or other heart-related conditions including high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, high cholesterol or other forms of arrhythmia.”
Then there is the feature an Indian buyer of the newest models does not get. Apple’s Indian newsroom footnote for Series 12, dated 9 September 2026, says it outright.
Hypertension Notifications will not be initially available in India on Apple Watch Series 12 or Ultra 4, as additional regulatory clearances for the feature for these models is in process.
Apple adds in the same footnote that availability is expected next year. Its feature-availability page words the point more softly: the feature “may not be available on Apple Watch Series 12 or Ultra 4 in your region, as additional regulatory clearances for these devices are in process”. Both are Apple’s, and both are printed here.
So on 23 September 2026 a buyer paying ₹1,09,900 for an Ultra 4 is buying a watch on which one health feature from its own launch material is not yet enabled here. No Indian clearance document for ECG was located either: Apple’s 2019 announcement names the United States Food and Drug Administration, and no Indian regulator.
Warranty, AppleCare+ and what a repair costs
The base warranty is one year, in the words of Apple’s Retail India Sales Policy: “Apple provides a one-year limited manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for any new Apple-branded product”, “granted separately from and in addition to any consumer protection rights applicable under Indian Consumer Law.” It “doesn’t cover accidental damage or batteries that wear down from normal use.”
AppleCare+ is the paid extension, under India terms effective 9 September 2026 and issued by the same Apple India Private Limited. It covers “Apple Watch (including the one Apple-branded strap or Nike Sport strap supplied in the same box as your covered Apple Watch)” — the strap in the box, not one bought separately — and promises “Unlimited Service Events” while the plan is active. Unlimited means unlimited incidents, not free ones.
| Covered device | Service fee for each accident |
|---|---|
| Apple Watch, excluding Ultra and Edition | ₹5,900 |
| Apple Watch Ultra | ₹6,900 |
| Apple Watch Edition | ₹6,900 |
AppleCare+ Terms and Conditions (India), effective 9 September 2026.
On a Series 12 bought at ₹56,900, one ₹5,900 accident is about a tenth of the watch again. The battery clause is better value: service applies where the capacity to hold a charge is “less than eighty percent (80%) of its original specifications”, and the repair page promises a replacement “at no extra charge if the capacity drops below 80%.”
What comes back is Apple’s choice. The terms let Apple “repair the defect using new parts or previously used genuine Apple parts that have been tested”, or “exchange the Covered Equipment with a replacement product that is new or comprised of new and/or previously used genuine Apple parts”. On a sealed watch an exchange is the ordinary outcome, at a “Genius Bar”, an “Apple Authorised Service Provider” or by “pre-paid postage box”.
One clause deserves quoting for anyone buying abroad: “Apple may restrict Hardware Service and ADH Service to the country where the Covered Equipment was originally purchased.” It is permissive — Apple may — and the only published Apple wording on the point located for India, so nothing further is claimed here. The Indian repair page carries a heading for out-of-warranty prices and published no rupee figures on the day.
Where an Apple Watch is made
Apple’s 2026 supply-chain update, “People and Environment in Our Supply Chain”, captions facilities at the front of the report. Two captions matter: “Apple Watch assembly, China mainland” and, in the same document, “iPhone assembly, India”. They sit on illustrations rather than a list of every site, so the sentence the report supports is this: it pictures Apple Watch assembly in China mainland, and iPhone, not watch, assembly in India.
The supplier list does not settle it either: the file Apple’s own link serves is the fiscal 2023 list, covering “98 percent of our direct spend for materials, manufacturing, and assembly” that year, and it names suppliers and their facility locations without saying which Apple product a facility works on. Indian facilities on it include Tata Electronics, Flex, Pegatron, Jabil and TDK, none attributed to Apple Watch.
Apple’s Indian specification pages carry detailed regulatory and material data and no country-of-origin line, and no Indian listing for a current model was read on the day. The declaration on the box is the answer here, so turn it over in the shop before you pay.
Apple’s Indian pages also publish no BIS registration number and no wireless approval number for any model, so nothing here says anything about a registration status. Nor is there an Apple shelf on the Indian marketplace: a search on 24 September 2026 showed 51 results for “apple watch”, all straps and accessories, with no Apple brand filter. A control brand read the same day returned a median MRP of ₹3,749, so the reading worked.
What a buyer can check
Water resistance is the one specification here resting on a named outside standard, quoted from Apple’s Indian pages. Series 12: “Water resistance 50 m (swimproof) under ISO standard 22810:2010”, “Dust resistance IP6X”, with the page suiting that watch to swimming but not to scuba diving. Ultra 4: “Water resistance 100 m (swim, snorkel, scuba, high-speed water sports)” under the same standard. A rating tied to a numbered standard is a claim a buyer can look up, which is why this site reads specification pages closely, Fossil‘s included.
Battery life is Apple’s own tested claim under Apple’s own defined day: “up to 24 hours of normal use” on Series 12, 50 hours on Ultra 4 and 18 on SE 3, measured across “300 time checks, 90 notifications, 15 minutes of app use, a 60-minute workout” and six hours of sleep tracking, with only four hours of cellular connection. A buyer on cellular for longer is outside that test.
The record
Searching the Indian case database for the exact phrase “Apple India Private Limited” shows 92 documents and 52 judgments. Three were read in full and two are decided matters, both in the High Court of Karnataka at Bengaluru, and both tax appeals rather than consumer cases.
The first, ITA No. 829/2018 with two companion appeals, was decided on 24 March 2023 in Apple India’s favour. The question was whether the company’s provision for warranty, above 2.14 per cent of sales, was deductible; the court found the estimates reliable on a 95.5 per cent utilisation rate, set aside the tribunal’s 2018 orders and dismissed the revenue’s appeal. Both sides were represented.
The second, ITA No. 660 of 2023, was decided on 16 January 2025, again against the revenue — “Appeal is dismissed, costs having made easy.” The court held it substantially similar to the March 2023 decision, a challenge to which had been disposed of at the Supreme Court in March 2024. It too was contested.
Both decisions concerned those assessments as they then stood, and neither says anything about an Apple Watch or a buyer. The other 49 judgments were not read, and this page claims nothing about Apple’s consumer, regulatory or trade-mark record in India — nobody has ruled on any of that in the material read for this audit. The count is a real count rather than a quirk of the search: run the same way against Titan Company Limited, audited separately here, the same database shows 672 documents.
Common questions
Does Apple publish how much the Apple Watch sells?
No. Apple reports Wearables, Home and Accessories as one line — $35,686 million in FY2025 — and the watch shares it with AirPods, Apple TV, HomePod, Vision Pro and accessories. Apple also stopped giving unit numbers for product lines years ago, so any Apple Watch sales or units figure comes from an outside estimator.
Does the ECG app work on an Apple Watch in India?
Yes, since 19 September 2019, and Apple’s India feature page lists ECG and Irregular Rhythm Notification for India. It needs Series 4 or later or any Ultra, and users aged 22 and over. The SE models, including the SE 3 at ₹29,900, do not have ECG.
What is missing on the Series 12 and Ultra 4 in India?
Hypertension Notifications. Apple’s Indian footnote of 9 September 2026 says the feature “will not be initially available in India” on those two models because further regulatory clearances are in process, and that availability is expected next year. Its India feature page repeats the point in softer words.
What does an accident cost with AppleCare+ in India?
₹5,900 for an Apple Watch, and ₹6,900 for Ultra or Edition, for each accident, under terms effective 9 September 2026. Service events themselves are unlimited while the plan is active, and Apple replaces a battery that falls below 80 per cent of its original capacity at no extra charge.
Will a watch bought abroad be repaired in India?
Apple’s India terms say only that “Apple may restrict Hardware Service and ADH Service to the country where the Covered Equipment was originally purchased.” That is permission, not a rule, and it is the only published Apple wording on the point this audit found for India — so buy here if service here matters to you.

On documentation Apple answers more of this audit’s questions than most pages here can. The seller of record is its own Indian company with a CIN a reader can look up, the price is an MRP inclusive of all taxes, the service fee is a number rather than an estimate, the water-resistance claim is tied to ISO 22810:2010, and the battery figure comes with its test.
What the money buys is another matter. A ₹56,900 watch whose covered accident costs ₹5,900 each time, a ₹1,09,900 flagship on which one named health feature is not yet enabled here by Apple’s own footnote, a repair that may come back with previously used parts, a service promise Apple may hold to the country of purchase, and no named grievance officer on any Indian page read on 23 September 2026 — those are the terms, in Apple’s words. Nor is there an Apple Watch number to judge the business by: one line, $35,686 million, shared with the headphones and the cables.
Buy it for the ECG and the sensors India does have, not for the launch-day feature list — and price the AppleCare+ fee in before you choose the model.
