Asian is an Indian shoe brand made by Asian Footwears Private Limited, a family company from New Delhi. It sells sports shoes, sneakers, casual shoes and slippers, mostly between ₹700 and ₹1,500, through local shoe shops, its own outlets and every big marketplace.
The important thing about Asian is that it makes its own shoes, in its own factory in Haryana, and sells them close to an honest price. Across the 115 Asian products we track, the typical pair sold for ₹1,096.
Asian is a genuine Indian manufacturer, not a label on someone else’s shoes: its pairs are made in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, and its sales reached ₹525 crore in FY25. At a typical ₹1,100, it is a sensible budget sports shoe. Its discounts are moderate, a median 44% off MRP, so the price you see is close to what the shoe is worth.

How it started
Asian is a Delhi family business. Rajinder Jindal, who heads the group, has more than three decades in footwear, and the company that owns Asian today was incorporated in 2008. His son Aayush Jindal has run daily operations for about ten years.
The turning point was online selling. Asian built a second company, Asian Retail Ventures, to sell its shoes on marketplaces, and online now brings in roughly half of all sales. In October 2022, MO Alternates invested ₹225 crore for a significant minority stake, money meant for branding, distribution and the supply chain.
The growth since then is visible in the numbers. Sales rose from ₹434 crore in FY24 to ₹525 crore in FY25, and Crisil expects ₹680 to ₹710 crore for FY26.
Consolidated operating income. FY26 is Crisil’s estimate, May 2026.
What they actually make
Asian is a shoe company first and last. Its range is sports and running shoes, casual sneakers, lace-ups, slip-ons, sliders, flip-flops and kids’ shoes. Many models are sold on comfort features such as memory-foam insoles.
Unlike many brands at this price, Asian makes what it sells. On 30 October 2026, three Asian shoes we checked on Myntra listed India as the country of origin and named the maker as Asian Footwear Pvt Ltd, Footwear Park, Bahadurgarh, in Haryana’s Jhajjar district. Two of the three were sold directly by Asian Footwears.
At ₹1,100, Asian is one of the few shoe brands where the name on the box is also the name on the factory gate.
That matters for a buyer. A brand that runs its own factory controls its materials and its quality checks, and it has no importer’s margin to recover.

Asian discounts, but not wildly. Not one of the 115 listings sold at 70% or more off, and 77 sold at between 30% and 49% off. Compare that with the shoe brands sold near Asian on the same marketplaces.

On price, Asian sits right beside Campus, whose typical pair sold for ₹1,199 the same day, and a little above Sparx at ₹899. Asian’s pairs are made in India, so no import duty sits inside its price.
Who Asian is actually for
Asian suits someone who wants a light, comfortable sports shoe or sneaker for walking, the gym or daily wear, and does not want to spend more than about ₹1,500. It also makes kids’ shoes, which makes it a practical family brand.
It is not the brand for serious runners chasing distance, or for anyone who wants a leather shoe that lasts many years. A ₹1,100 shoe is built for everyday wear, and the materials reflect that price.
Made in its own Indian factory
Most pairs cost ₹500 to ₹1,500
Moderate, believable discounts
Built for everyday wear, not long-distance running
Materials match a ₹1,100 price, not a ₹5,000 one
Models change often, so reviews may be for an older version
Reputation and controversies
Asian’s finances have improved quickly. The group made a small loss of ₹0.18 crore in FY24 and a ₹20.45 crore profit in FY25, according to Crisil. In May 2026, Crisil gave the company a BBB/Stable rating, which means moderate credit safety.
Crisil also points to the cost of the dealer model. Dealers get around 90 days of credit, and stock plus unpaid bills tie up money for 170 to 210 days. That is common for Indian shoe makers that sell through local shops, and it is the main risk Crisil watches.
Fellow budget brands such as Action compete on the same shelves. Asian’s edge is that it now sells about as much online as it does through shops.
Buying it in India
Look for the Bahadurgarh address
Genuine pairs name Asian Footwear Pvt Ltd, Footwear Park, Bahadurgarh, as the maker, with India as the country of origin. A different maker name is a reason to ask questions.
Prefer sellers named Asian Footwears
On Myntra and other marketplaces, Asian often sells directly. Listings sold by Asian Footwears Pvt Ltd or Asian Retail Ventures come straight from the company.
Know the fair price
Most Asian sports shoes and sneakers sell for ₹700 to ₹1,300. Paying the full MRP of ₹1,999 or more means you missed a common discount.
Check the model year in reviews
Asian launches new designs often. Read reviews that mention the same model name and colour, not reviews of a similar older shoe.
You can compare current Asian prices on our Asian shop page.
Common questions
Is Asian an Indian brand?
Yes. Asian is owned by Asian Footwears Private Limited, a New Delhi company run by the Jindal family. Its shoes are made in India, at a factory in the Footwear Park in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, according to the declarations on its product listings.
Are Asian shoes good quality?
For the price, yes. Asian makes its own shoes and most sell for ₹500 to ₹1,500, which is fair for a light everyday sports shoe. Do not expect the cushioning or life of a ₹5,000 running shoe.
Who owns Asian shoes?
The Jindal family, led by Rajinder Jindal, with Aayush Jindal running daily operations. In October 2022, Motilal Oswal’s private equity arm, MO Alternates, invested ₹225 crore for a significant minority stake.
Is Asian better than Campus?
They are close. Both are Indian brands that make shoes in India, and on 30 October 2026 their typical pairs sold for ₹1,096 (Asian) and ₹1,199 (Campus). Choose on fit and comfort in a store, not on the brand name.
Where are Asian shoes made?
In India. The listings we checked named Asian Footwear Pvt Ltd at the HSIIDC Footwear Park in Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar district, Haryana, as the manufacturer.

Asian is the real thing at the budget end: an Indian family company that makes its own shoes in Haryana, sells most of them for ₹500 to ₹1,500, and discounts by believable amounts rather than 80% off inflated MRPs.
It is an everyday shoe, not a performance one. A ₹1,100 pair will not last like a leather shoe or cushion like a ₹5,000 runner, and buyers should expect that.
For walking, the gym and school runs, Asian at ₹1,100 is one of the more honest buys in Indian footwear.
