Assembly Brand Audit: Gurugram Luggage, Prices and Warranty

Assembly is a Gurugram luggage brand run by Dismantle Digital. Who owns and makes it, what its suitcases cost in India, and what its warranty covers by bag.

Assembly is a Gurugram luggage and travel-bag brand sold at assemblytravel.com and run by its own Indian company, Dismantle Digital Private Limited. The name is an ordinary English word, and it is shared: this is not Assembly Label, the Australian clothing brand, and not ASSEMBLY, LLC, which holds a trade mark in the United States.

The brand says it was founded in 2019 by Aditya Khanna and Mohit Garg. On Myntra on 22 September 2026 it was mostly a suitcase shelf, with trolley bags making up 72 of 100 listings read, and 38 of 40 declarations named India as the country of origin.

The short answer

Assembly is an Indian luggage brand. One company runs the site, holds the trade mark and is named as manufacturer on 38 of 40 Myntra declarations read, two of which declared China. The homepage promises a “3-year warranty”; the published policy gives three years on hard luggage and one year on soft bags.

Which Assembly this is

Search for “Assembly” and the results mix several unrelated businesses. Assembly Label is an Australian clothing brand with its own site at assemblylabel.com. The Assembly Place is a Bengaluru co-working company, Assembly Ventures is an investment firm, and a company called ASSEMBLY, LLC holds US trade mark serial 88056552.

None of them is the brand on this page. Every fact below is tied to Dismantle Digital Private Limited, its corporate identity number or assemblytravel.com. A review or listing titled “Assembly” that names none of those may belong to someone else.

Who owns Assembly

The operating company is Dismantle Digital Private Limited, an unlisted private company registered in Haryana. Its corporate identity number reads as a home-grown business: U for unlisted, HR for Haryana, 2021 for the year, and PTC for an ordinary private company rather than the FTC a foreign subsidiary carries. The register mirrors The Company Check, Tofler and QuickCompany give the incorporation date as 17 July 2021 and the status as active.

The same company appears everywhere the brand speaks for itself. The privacy statement names “Dismantle Digital Pvt. Ltd.” with the CIN and names Mohit Garg, co-founder, as grievance officer. The terms call the company “Assembly Luggage” and the warranty page says “Assembly Travel”, but all three carry the same CIN. Product pages say “Packed & Marketed By: Dismantle Digital Pvt. Ltd.”

The brand is older than the company. The site’s our-story page says Assembly was founded in 2019, and it explains the name: “the assembly department in a factory where the magic of a luggage product all comes together”. The company that now runs it was incorporated in July 2021, and the trade mark shows how the name passed across.

How the ASSEMBLY mark reached the operating company
  1. Dismantle Goods LLPFounders’ earlier firm, incorporated 15 February 2018
  2. Class-18 mark 4644834 filed7 September 2020, by the LLP
  3. Deed of assignmentDated 8 February 2022
  4. Dismantle Digital Private LimitedRecorded as proprietor 23 November 2023; registered to 2030

The mark moved from the founders’ partnership firm to their company by assignment; a second class-18 mark, 6271134, was filed by Dismantle Digital itself in January 2024.

The register mirror lists both founders as designated partners of the LLP since 2018. Whether the LLP sold Assembly goods before 2021 is not established by anything read; only the trade-mark filing links it to the brand.

Outside money came in two reported rounds. Rukam Capital’s own portfolio page dates its investment in Assembly to November 2022 and gives no amount. In April 2024 Inc42 reported a US$2.1 million round, about ₹17.4 crore, led by Prath Ventures with Anicut Capital, Blume Founders Fund and angel investors; FashionNetwork’s headline gave the same round as $2 million. No stake from either round has been published.

The founders also pitched on Shark Tank India’s third season in February 2024. IANS reported that they did not get a deal.

Worth knowing

No shareholding for the company has been published, and nothing read records a change of control. We tag Assembly Independent because no parent or controlling investor is named — not because the founders’ stake is known.

The money

The only revenue figure on the record comes from a register mirror, not from filed accounts we have read. The Company Check carries revenue of ₹35.73 crore for the year to 31 March 2025 and marks it as 93% up on the previous year. It shows no profit or loss for that year, and no figure for earlier years.

No business-press report of the company’s filed accounts has been published, though such reports exist for other Indian luggage brands, including Uppercase and Mokobara.

Who makes Assembly bags

The brand’s own product pages name a packer and marketer, not a maker. The three read on 22 September 2026 — a Rover luggage set, a Verve duffle and a Vintage backpack — give “Packed & Marketed By: Dismantle Digital Pvt. Ltd., Mauja, Fazilpur Jharsa, Gurugram” and “Country of Origin: India”. None names a manufacturer.

The statutory declarations on Myntra go further. We read 40 Assembly product records on 22 September 2026 — the block the Legal Metrology rules require, giving the country of origin and the company answerable for the goods.

Field on the declarationWhat the 40 records named

Press accounts describe the factory side in two ways. Business Standard reported on 25 January 2026 that Assembly “operates a fully integrated manufacturing model from facilities near Bahadurgarh in Haryana”, producing “up to 40,000 hard luggage pieces and 15,000 backpacks a month”. Startuppedia, writing in 2024 after the Shark Tank pitch, said manufacturing happened at “Mohit’s family business factory”.

No filing read names a factory, or says who owns the Bahadurgarh facilities. The company’s registered activity code, 19100, sits in the leather-and-luggage manufacturing group, but that is a registration category, not evidence of a plant.

On where the goods come from, two figures sit side by side. Startuppedia quoted “more than 90%” of Assembly’s travel products as made in India, and Rukam Capital’s page says “90% of its products made in India”. On the 40 Myntra declarations read, 38 said India and two said China. A declaration names the company legally answerable for the goods, which need not be the factory that built them.

Polycarbonate, faux leather and the origin wording

Assembly makes no claim to foreign heritage on the pages read, and the name is not foreign-sounding. One phrase does point abroad. The Rover luggage page says the set is “Crafted with 100% German Polycarbonate for a robust and resilient build”. The same page reads “Country of Origin: India” and names no polycarbonate supplier or grade.

No product read claims genuine leather. The Verve duffle is “Polyester and Faux Leather” and the Vintage backpack “Premium leatherette with contrast stitching”. The site’s own search for “leather” listed 28 products on 22 September 2026, and none claimed genuine or vegan leather. No tannery, certifier or recycled-content figure is named anywhere read.

The warranty: three years, for suitcases

The homepage lists a “3-year warranty” beside “30-day returns & free shipping”. The warranty policy splits that figure by product. Hard luggage carries “3 Years International”; soft bags, zip pullers and chains carry “1 Year International”; accessories carry one year.

Under the published policy, hard luggage carries three years of cover and soft bags one.

The product pages follow the policy: “3 Years International” on the hard luggage and “1 Year International” on the backpack and duffle. Cover is for “Manufacturing defects in materials & workmanship”. The policy excludes “normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse, or airline/carrier handling”, along with scratches, dents, fabric tears, colour fading and lining damage. A claim needs the PDF invoice, and the policy does not say what “International” means in practice.

Returns run for 30 days on unused goods with tags intact. A claim for transit damage or a wrong item needs an unedited unboxing video within 24–48 hours of delivery.

What Assembly costs in India

Assembly has no home market abroad, so there is no foreign price to set against the Indian one. The useful comparison is between the MRP on its own site and what it charges. Every page read says “Inclusive of all taxes”.

Product on assemblytravel.comMRPSelling price
Rover Combo, Moon-White, cabin 20″ and medium 24″ hard luggage₹16,199₹9,999
Stark Backpack, Green, 20 L₹4,349₹2,599
Verve Premium Duffle, Green, 48 L₹3,749₹2,899
Vintage Travel Backpack, Brown, 21 L₹4,999₹3,399

assemblytravel.com product pages, read 22 September 2026.

The site’s search that day listed items from ₹599 for a fanny pack to ₹8,999 for an OdysseyPro combo. Every one of the four products above sold below its printed MRP.

We sounded 100 distinct Assembly listings on Myntra on 22 September 2026, from a brand listing of 303 products. Trolley bags made up 72 listings, backpacks 13 and duffels six. The median MRP was ₹8,099 and the median paid ₹4,999, which is 61.7% of MRP. Ninety-eight of the hundred were reduced, across 37 distinct MRPs.

The price band here is Mid-range, computed from the ₹4,999 median actually paid on a Myntra shelf led by trolley bags, the brand’s core line. A two-piece hard set on the brand’s own site crosses into Premium at ₹9,999.

Buying a genuine Assembly bag

None of the pages read — home, About, our story, warranty, returns, terms, privacy and three product pages — offers a way to check a specific bag: no code, hologram, QR or verification page. The same pages name no list of authorised sellers. The brand opened its first shop, in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi, in April 2025, according to Indian Retailer.

On Myntra, the brand’s own company was seller of record on 23 of the 40 listings read. The other 17 were sold under a trading name.

Check 01

Read the declaration

The country of origin and the manufacturer are on the listing and the carton. On 40 Myntra records read, 38 said India and two said China.

Check 02

Match the warranty to the bag

Three years applies to hard luggage. A backpack or duffle carries one year, and scratches, dents and airline damage are outside the cover.

Check 03

Keep the PDF invoice

The warranty policy makes it mandatory for a claim, and an unedited unboxing video is needed for a transit-damage return.

The record

A search of Indian Kanoon on 22 September 2026 for “Dismantle Digital” and “Dismantle Goods” showed no judgment involving either company; the few results matched the words alone. The brand word itself matches every legislative assembly, so this is a record of what the company-name searches returned, not proof that no matter exists.

Who Assembly is actually for

Assembly suits a buyer who wants a polycarbonate suitcase from an Indian company that puts its own name on the declaration, and who will register the purchase and keep the invoice. The declared maker on 38 of 40 records is the brand’s own company, which makes it easy to know whom to hold responsible.

Anyone weighing it against Safari, Skybags or Uppercase is comparing a young, unlisted company with a single revenue figure on record against longer-established Indian luggage names; VIP Industries publishes an annual report, which Dismantle Digital does not. On Myntra, 98 of 100 Assembly listings were reduced, so the printed MRP tells a buyer little.

The FA take

What is good about Assembly is how traceable it is. One Gurugram company runs the site, holds the trade mark after a recorded assignment, and is named as manufacturer on 38 of 40 Myntra declarations read. Its hard luggage carries a three-year warranty in writing, and on Myntra the median listing sold for ₹4,999.

The fine print matters for soft bags. The published policy gives one year on a backpack or duffle against three on hard luggage, and cosmetic and airline damage are excluded on everything. The “100% German Polycarbonate” line names no supplier, and the revenue on record is a single register-mirror figure.

An Indian luggage brand with its own name on the box — buy the hard-shell for its three years, and read the policy before counting on the same for a soft bag.
