Dior in India is three legal persons wearing one name. Christian Dior Couture makes the bags and the clothes. Parfums Christian Dior, a separate LVMH division, makes the fragrance an Indian buyer can order from a beauty site. Christian Dior SE is the Paris-listed holding company above LVMH.
Telling them apart matters. The company with the boutiques publishes no Indian price at all.
The handbags belong to Christian Dior Couture, which sits inside LVMH, and no company above it publishes a revenue line for the house. dior.com/en_in is a catalogue with no checkout and no price. Myntra carried 13 Dior listings on 24 September 2026, clothing only. Milan’s judicial administration of its Italian handbag maker was lifted early, and Italy’s competition authority closed its case with no infringement.

Three companies, one name
Christian Dior Couture is the fashion house — bags, clothes, boutiques. It is a French company at 30 avenue Montaigne, Paris, register number 612 035 832, and it is not a listed issuer: it publishes no accounts of its own that this audit found.
Christian Dior SE is the listed one: a Paris holding company whose 2025 annual report puts its stake in LVMH at 42% of the share capital and 56% of the voting rights at 31 December 2025, the Arnault family group separately on 8% and 10%.
Parfums Christian Dior sits in a different LVMH division again, Perfumes and Cosmetics, and reaches India through retail partners: Sephora India carried 63 Dior fragrance items priced in rupees on 23 September 2026, and Nykaa Luxe lists the brand. The perfume has an Indian route; the handbag does not.

What the owner actually publishes
Nothing about Dior itself. LVMH’s 2025 registration document places Christian Dior in a Fashion and Leather Goods group of thirteen houses, gives each a paragraph of commentary and puts the figures at segment level only. Christian Dior SE’s annual report does the same. Neither carries a Christian Dior Couture revenue line.
| Year to 31 December | 2025 | 2024 |
|---|---|---|
| Christian Dior SE revenue | €80,807m | €84.7bn |
| Christian Dior SE net profit, Group share | €4,531m | €5,208m |
| LVMH revenue | €80.8bn | €84,683m |
| LVMH net profit, Group share | €10.9bn | €12,550m |
| Fashion and Leather Goods revenue | €37,770m | €41,060m |
| Christian Dior Couture revenue | Not published | Not published |
Christian Dior SE’s 2025 annual report and LVMH’s results release of 27 January 2026. Both close 31 December, and FY2025 is the latest full year reported.
Read the first and third rows together: the same money counted twice, because Christian Dior SE consolidates LVMH. Never add them, and never call €80.8bn Dior’s revenue. The profit rows are where the two part, the minority interest turning €10.9bn at LVMH into €4,531m above it.
LVMH names no house in any period, so every “Dior revenue” figure in circulation is somebody’s estimate rather than a company’s number.
The house has not always sat here. A joint press release of 25 April 2017 records a memorandum of understanding on “the contemplated disposal of Christian Dior Couture by Christian Dior to LVMH” at an enterprise value of €6.5bn, or “15.6x adjusted last twelve months EBITDA”.
How Dior reaches India
The India site is a shop window. On 23 September 2026 the Lady Dior page on dior.com/en_in carried no prices and no add-to-bag: it offers “Contact a Client Advisor” and “Book Your Appointment”, and calls the line “Exclusively available in Dior boutiques via the Client Service Center”.
The site’s own terms are strongest for what they leave out.

An India-facing website published from Paris, hosted in Ireland, with an Indian telephone number and no Indian legal person named anywhere on it.
Dior does sell online elsewhere. Its European distance-selling conditions name the seller as “Christian Dior Couture, a public limited company (société anonyme)” with the same register number, and list twelve European delivery territories, none of them India. It is a simplified joint stock company on one page and a société anonyme on the other; both are recorded rather than reconciled.
On the register, CHRISTIAN DIOR TRADING INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED carries CIN U51909MH2005PTC156959, incorporated 21 October 2005. The letters matter: U for unlisted, MH for Maharashtra, PTC for an ordinary private limited company rather than the FTC letters the register gives a foreign company’s registered subsidiary. Paid-up capital of ₹364.70 crore against ₹1,000 crore authorised is an operating seller’s balance sheet, and nothing read here shows who holds those shares, so this page calls it nobody’s subsidiary.
The mirrors disagree: one gives a Lower Parel office and a 31 March 2023 balance sheet, another an address at One BKC and one last filed on 31 March 2025, and one carries the company’s operating revenue only as a band, ₹100 crore to ₹500 crore, to 31 March 2023. A second Dior-named company sits there too — 1996, CIN U24246MH1996PTC100707, nil paid-up capital, register status printed in the register’s own words as “Strike Off” — a dead shell registered for soap and perfume, not the route the fragrance business runs on.
The physical side is two shops: G-Block at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai and DLF Emporio, New Delhi. Anyone who wants an Indian company to write to instead will find one in our audits of VIP Industries, Safari and Wildcraft.
You may read that Dior has five Indian stores. The couture locator showed two on 23 September 2026 and the beauty addresses were not readable in this pass, so treat any higher count as a number nobody here has seen.
The 13 listings on Myntra
Dior’s shelf there is small and in the wrong category: 13 products on 24 September 2026, not one a handbag — shorts, sweaters, clothing. Median MRP was ₹2,87,500 and the median price asked ₹1,66,890, or 58.0% of MRP, with all 13 reduced. A Columbia control that day read ₹3,749 at 93.3% of MRP, so the method was working.
All 13 name the same two Delhi companies: Darveys Global Store Private Limited, CIN U52609DL2018PTC331151, as seller of record and NR Wardrobe Fuss Private Limited, CIN U51101DL2013PTC259910, as importer. Each carries ₹1,00,000 of paid-up capital and the register lists the same two directors for both. Those are register facts; this page names no directors, attaches no court matter and says nothing about the goods they sell.
Read the same day, Balenciaga’s facet held 527 listings, Saint Laurent’s 399, Fendi’s 278 and Loewe’s 64, all with handbags, while Hermès, Chanel, Bottega Veneta and Celine had none.
Where the bags are made
This part Dior documents itself. Its own supply-chain page describes “eleven manufactures in Italy” — “eight production sites specializing in leather goods and shoes, and three sites dedicated to Men’s and Women’s Ready-to-Wear” — and ateliers in “France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Portugal”. The page is undated, but its figures run to June 2026.
| Dior’s Italian supplier audits | 2025 | January to June 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Audits | 1,717 | 1,005 |
| Full audits | 176 | 68 |
| “Focus” audits | 1,541 | 937 |
| Favourable outcome | 83% | 87% |
Dior’s own page, which names no outside auditor or certifier. The remaining 13% in 2026 required “Dior to support the supplier in implementing corrective actions”.
LVMH’s 2025 registration document gives a workshop count for Louis Vuitton alone and covers the rest in one sentence: “Most of the other Maisons… have workshops in their countries of origin or in Italy.” The eleven Italian manufactures are on Dior’s website, not in the filing.
At product level the answer holds: every bag page read on 23 September 2026 says “Made in Italy” — Medium Lady Dior M0565ONGE_M900, Medium Dior Caro M9242UWHC_M900 and both Book Totes. No page names a tannery, a tannage type or any leather certification; the material line stops at the hide.
What Dior costs in India
Nothing this page can print — that is the finding. Two core bags from Dior’s own American and French sites, read 23 September 2026, against an empty Indian column.
| Bag | Reference | United States | France | India |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Medium Lady Dior, black Cannage lambskin | M0565ONGE_M900 | $6,700.00 | 5 900,00 € | No price published |
| Medium Dior Caro, black supple Cannage calfskin | M9242UWHC_M900 | $4,800.00 | 3 950,00 € | No price published |
| Large Dior Book Tote | M1286ZWSO_M900 | No price shown | No price shown | No price published |
Same reference codes on both sites. No conversion and no computed gap: the tax bases differ, and pretending otherwise is how price myths start.
The tax basis, stated rather than assumed. Dior’s European conditions say displayed prices are “inclusive of all taxes (including VAT), excluding delivery charges”, so the euro figures include tax. Neither American page carried tax wording, so nothing is asserted about the dollar figures. In India there is no price and no MRP line: the bags cross a counter in two boutiques at figures the house does not publish.
Two tax facts bear on any bag landing here. IGST — the integrated goods and services tax charged on imports — runs at 18% on heading 4202, which covers handbags, under the schedule effective 22 September 2025, and duty on personal imports was cut to 10% from 1 April 2026. This page prints no basic customs duty rate: two figures circulate and the official tariff schedule was not read here.
So this audit sets no price band for Dior: a band has to rest on an actual Indian selling price, the house publishes none, and the Myntra shelf has no handbag to take a median from. Skybags and Uppercase print an MRP inclusive of taxes on every listing; no such number exists for a Dior bag.
Checking a Dior bag is real
Dior publishes no way to check a particular handbag — no serial lookup, no date-code decoder, no scan, no “verify your product” page on anything read. What the couture FAQ offers is a sentence about the box: “Relevant products will include warranties and/or authentication certificates.” That is what arrives with an order, and India cannot place one.
The house is a named Aura Blockchain Consortium member, on its members page read on 23 September 2026 beside Louis Vuitton, Prada and fifty others. Membership is a fact, not a check: no Dior handbag page offered a passport or certificate to look up. LVMH founded that consortium and only some of its houses put a certificate in a customer’s hands; Kering is not a member.
The absence is real, because the same searching finds schemes where they exist: Breitling’s own release sets out a blockchain passport for every new watch and how to scan it. Nor is there a warranty document — no duration, coverage or exclusions, and nothing about India — while repairs run “exclusively in our workshops by our artisans”.
Get the reference code on the invoice
Every bag has one — M0565ONGE_M900 for the Medium Lady Dior. An invoice naming the seller and the reference is the only paper trail this purchase makes.
Treat online “tells” with care
Dior publishes nothing about date codes, heat stamps or serial plates. Every guide teaching those tells comes from a reseller or an authentication service, not the house.
The record
One Indian matter has been decided with Christian Dior Couture as a party. On 11 April 2023 an Additional District Judge in New Delhi decreed TM No. 78/2021 in the house’s favour: a permanent injunction, damages of ₹3,00,000 shared equally between two defendants, and a finding of infringement and passing off, on Local Commissioner’s reports recording 321 counterfeit Dior sunglasses seized. The judgment is headed “EX-PARTE JUDGMENT” — one defendant never appeared despite service, the other appeared and filed no evidence — so it was decided without a defence. The defendants were private persons and are not named.
Read the limits with it. That decree concerned sunglasses, not handbags; it bound the goods and parties before that court as the matter then stood; it is no finding about any other seller, marketplace or shop; and nobody has ruled on anything on sale today. Indian Kanoon showed 169 results for “Dior” on 23 September 2026, most of the “Christian Dior” set being that one suit repeated as successive orders, against 132 for a control search on another French house. India’s trade-mark register now needs a one-time-password login, so this page claims nothing about Dior’s Indian marks.
The Italian supplier matter, both ends of it
On 10 June 2024 a Milan court placed Manufactures Dior S.r.l. — the company that makes Dior handbags in Italy — under judicial administration for one year, appointing a special commissioner to oversee compliance while the business carried on trading. The ground recorded was that it had not run checks on the working conditions and technical capability of its suppliers; inspections at four of them found conditions described in the reporting as “unethical and exploitative”. The Milan proceeding named Manufactures Dior S.r.l., not Christian Dior Couture.
- 10 June 2024Milan court orders judicial administration for one year, special commissioner appointed
- 28 February 2025The same court lifts it early, about nine months in
- 21 May 2025Italy’s competition authority closes its case, no infringement established
Both ends are decided, and only the first half gets repeated.
The lifting came on Friday 28 February 2025, an early end to a one-year measure, the judges recording that the company had “resolved relationships with ‘at-risk’ suppliers extremely quickly and also developed several best practices that received court approval”. Dior said it “firmly reaffirms its commitment to protecting and applying the core values of transparency, integrity and respect throughout the supply chain”.
Then the regulator. On 21 May 2025 the Italian Competition Authority closed the investigation it opened in July 2024 into Christian Dior Couture S.A., Christian Dior Italia S.r.l. and Manufactures Dior S.r.l. without establishing any infringement, accepting binding commitments instead: €2 million over five years towards identifying and helping victims of labour exploitation, changes to the companies’ ethical statements, and new supplier selection, monitoring and internal audit procedures, open to other Italian fashion brands.
The limits, plainly. Judicial administration is a preventive supervisory measure rather than a verdict, and it was lifted; the authority established no infringement against any Dior company; the court’s decree was not read here, so this rests on the regulator’s decision, contemporaneous reporting and Dior’s own words; nobody has ruled on how that supply chain runs today; and none of it attaches to Christian Dior SE, Parfums Christian Dior or the Indian company.
Common questions
Who owns Dior?
LVMH owns the fashion house, Christian Dior Couture, which sits in its Fashion and Leather Goods group. LVMH is itself controlled by Christian Dior SE, a Paris-listed holding company that held 42% of LVMH’s share capital and 56% of its voting rights at 31 December 2025. The couture house moved from the listed parent into LVMH under a 2017 agreement valuing it at €6.5bn.
Can you buy a Dior bag online in India?
No. dior.com/en_in showed no prices and no add-to-bag on 23 September 2026; it offers an appointment and a client advisor instead, and says the Lady Dior is “Exclusively available in Dior boutiques via the Client Service Center”. Dior’s European selling conditions list twelve delivery territories and India is not among them.
What does a Lady Dior cost in India?
Dior publishes no Indian price. The Medium Lady Dior, reference M0565ONGE_M900, was $6,700.00 in the United States and 5 900,00 € in France on 23 September 2026, and the euro price is tax-inclusive on Dior’s own wording. The Indian price is whatever the two boutiques charge, and it is published nowhere this audit could reach.
Why does Myntra sell Dior clothes and not Dior bags?
The Dior facet held 13 listings on 24 September 2026, all clothing. Every one named Darveys Global Store Private Limited as seller of record and NR Wardrobe Fuss Private Limited as importer — two Delhi companies with ₹1,00,000 of paid-up capital each and the same two directors on the register. Dior itself sells nothing online in India.
Was Dior found guilty over its Italian supplier factory?
No. Manufactures Dior S.r.l. was put under judicial administration by a Milan court on 10 June 2024, a supervisory measure lifted early on 28 February 2025, and Italy’s competition authority closed its case on 21 May 2025 without establishing any infringement, accepting commitments including €2 million over five years.
Where are Dior bags made?
Italy, on the evidence of the bags themselves — every product page read on 23 September 2026 says “Made in Italy”. Dior’s own site describes “eleven manufactures in Italy”, eight for leather goods and shoes and three for ready-to-wear, and ateliers in five European countries. LVMH’s filing publishes no workshop count for the house.

Dior documents its factories better than almost any house here: eleven manufactures in Italy, 1,005 Italian supplier audits in six months, “Made in Italy” on every bag page read. When a Milan court put its Italian handbag maker under supervision, the order was lifted about nine months in and Italy’s competition authority closed its file with no infringement and €2 million of commitments. Both halves are on the record, and a page printing only the first is not reporting it.
The scepticism belongs with what Dior declines to put in front of an Indian buyer. No revenue figure for the house. No Indian price for a bag that costs 5 900,00 € in Paris. No Indian company, seller of record or grievance officer on the India site’s own terms, while a ₹364.70 crore Indian company sits on the register with nothing published about who owns it. No warranty terms, and no way to check a bag is real.
Dior will tell you which country made your bag and not what it costs in Mumbai — so walk into one of the two boutiques knowing the price is whatever they say it is.
