Eastpak is a backpack and luggage brand owned by V.F. Corporation, the American group behind Vans, The North Face and Timberland. VF files its accounts with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and its latest annual report, for the year to 28 March 2026, places Eastpak in its Active segment beside Kipling, JanSport and Vans.
Eastpak has no Indian website, and no Indian store, distributor or selling company is named in anything read for this audit. Myntra had no Eastpak listings on 22 September 2026. That absence shapes everything below, from what the bag costs to whether its 30-year warranty reaches a buyer here.
Eastpak is owned by VF on its filings to 22 September 2026, and has no named route into India: no Indian site, no Indian partner in VF’s filings and no Myntra shelf on 22 September 2026. Its UK site prices the Padded Pak’r at £50.00. Its headline “up to 30 years” warranty covers only manufacturing defects after year two, and the policy for buyers outside the EU does not name India.

Who owns Eastpak
Eastpak belongs to V.F. Corporation, whose fiscal year ends on the Saturday nearest 31 March. Its 10-K, the annual report a US listed company files with the regulator, says: “Vans®, Kipling®, Eastpak® and JanSport® brands have been aggregated in the Active reportable segment.” The same filing describes where the bags are sold, and that sentence matters for India.
VF’s own description of Eastpak’s markets reaches Asia in four words, “throughout Asia by distributors”, and names none of them.
In full, the 10-K says Eastpak bags “are sold primarily through specialty and concession retail stores across Europe, 1 VF-operated store, on websites with strategic digital partners, throughout Asia by distributors and online at www.eastpak.com.” Europe is the brand’s main market on the owner’s own account. That is why the price comparison below uses the European site as the home reference.
VF bought the brand in 2000. Note B of its 2000 annual report, filed with the 10-K405 of 26 March 2001, says the company “acquired the common stock of The North Face, Inc. and acquired the Eastpak backpack and daypack business in May 2000.” It gives one combined cost for all of that year’s acquisitions, “$206.5 million, plus repayment of $107.7 million of indebtedness”. Neither Eastpak’s own price nor its seller is stated.

No sale of Eastpak is filed to 22 September 2026.
VF 2000 annual report, Note B; VF results release of 20 May 2026 and 10-K filed the same day.
The review is recorded in a footnote to VF’s full-year results release of 20 May 2026. It refers to “the review of strategic alternatives for the Global Packs business, consisting of the Kipling®, Eastpak® and JanSport® brands”. VF has sold other brands in the same period: Supreme to EssilorLuxottica on 1 October 2024, and Dickies to Bluestar Alliance on 12 November 2025. A search of VF’s filings from 1 January to 22 September 2026 finds Eastpak in the 10-K, two quarterly reports and results releases, and in no sale document. As at 22 September 2026, VF’s latest filings list Eastpak among its brands.
The money, and what it does not show
VF does not publish Eastpak’s revenue. Its results release gives separate lines only for The North Face (US$4,005.8m), Vans (US$2,149.1m) and Timberland (US$1,735.9m). Eastpak sits inside wider groupings, so every figure in this section is the owner’s, not the brand’s.
| V.F. Corporation | Year to 28 March 2026 | Previous year, FY2025 |
|---|---|---|
| Total revenue | US$9,605.2m | US$9,504.7m |
| Active segment revenue | US$2,721.0m, down 7% | — |
| Net income (loss) | US$254.9m | US$(189.7)m |
| Eastpak revenue | Not disclosed | Not disclosed |
VF 8-K Exhibit 99.1, fourth-quarter and full-year results release, 20 May 2026. Owner revenue, not brand revenue.
The prior year’s loss included a US$259.0m loss from discontinued operations. The first quarter of the current year, to 27 June 2026, brought revenue of US$1,669.4m, down 5%, and a net loss of US$97.2m, according to the results release of 29 July 2026. Eastpak appears there only in a footnote grouping it with Kipling and JanSport. None of these numbers says how many Eastpak bags reach India, or whether any do through VF’s own channels.
How Eastpak reaches India
No document read names an Indian subsidiary, licensee, distributor, franchisee or joint venture for Eastpak. That is the finding, and it rests on several checks rather than one.
VF’s list of significant subsidiaries for fiscal 2026, filed with the 10-K, carries one Indian company: VF Sourcing India Private Limited. A mirror of the Indian companies register shows it incorporated in Bengaluru on 2 April 2013, with paid-up capital of ₹1 lakh and the activity code “Business activities n.e.c.”. The letters FTC in its CIN, the company identity number, mark a subsidiary of a foreign company. The name, the capital and the activity code point to a buying office, and no document read links it to selling Eastpak. The subsidiary list is filed to a size threshold, so smaller Indian companies could exist without appearing on it.
Eastpak’s own sites point elsewhere too. Its country selector, read on 22 September 2026, offers online shops in eleven European markets and “Partner Stores” in Korea, Taiwan, China and Cyprus, plus a “Catalog Only – Other countries” entry. India is not listed. The European site’s legal-entities page names 16 VF selling companies, one per European country, and none is Indian. No Eastpak site for India was found at eastpak.in, eastpak.co.in or eastpakindia.com, so there are no Indian terms, privacy policy or grievance officer to read.
The brand’s European and American sites are run from Switzerland. The US footer names “VF INTERNATIONAL S.A.G.L., whose registered office is at Via Laveggio, 5, 6855 – Stabio, Switzerland”, and the European terms say the seller is “the company of the VF Group responsible for selling to consumers in the country you select for delivery”.
One Indian specialist retailer was checked. VegNonVeg’s search for “eastpak” showed “No results found” on 22 September 2026. That is one shop, not the market.
Eastpak on Myntra
Myntra’s search for “eastpak” on 22 September 2026 showed no results, and so no Eastpak brand filter. VF’s sister brand JanSport did appear, with two backpack listings from a third-party seller.
With no Eastpak listing, there is no seller of record, no importer line and no declared country of origin to report. A buyer who meets an Eastpak bag on an Indian marketplace should read that listing’s own declaration block: the seller, the importer and the country of origin. Nothing published tells you in advance who those will be.
Where Eastpak bags are made
Eastpak’s product pages read, in Europe and the US, give no country of origin for the Padded Pak’r, the brand’s plain daypack. VF’s 10-K speaks for the whole group: “Our products were primarily obtained from approximately 216 independent contractor manufacturing facilities in approximately 24 countries.” It adds that “Independent contractors generally own the raw materials and ship finished, ready-for-sale products to VF”, and that products are “primarily sourced from independent manufacturers primarily located in Asia”. No share by country or by brand is given.
The Padded Pak’r page on the UK site, read on 22 September 2026, lists the material as “100% Polyester” and also describes the bag as “crafted from 100% nylon for a sturdy finish”. The US listing says “Crafted from 100% polyester”. The bag is sold as “Water resistant fabric” with no rating attached. Eastpak’s sustainability page is built on “Reduce / Reuse / Repair” and names no recycled-content percentage or certifier.
What Eastpak costs, at home and in India
There is no Indian Eastpak price to compare. With no Indian site and no Myntra shelf, no MRP from the brand or a marketplace was found on 22 September 2026, so this page sets no price band. The home prices, read the same day, are below in their own currencies, unconverted.
| Market | Product | Code | Price | Tax basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UK site | Padded Pak’r, Black, 24 litres | EK000620008 | £50.00 | Not established |
| Belgium site | Padded Pak’r, Black | EK000620008 | €55.00 | Not established |
| US site | Padded Pak’r, Black | JS:0A7ZNE:008 | US$55.00 | Not established |
| India | — | — | No price found | — |
Eastpak UK, Belgium and US sites, read 22 September 2026.
The two European rows share one article code, so they are the same product. The American bag carries a different code, so it is a name match, not a proven match. The tax wording on these pages was not confirmed, so no tax basis is given for any of them.
If you import a bag yourself by post or courier, two published rates apply. Integrated GST on bags under heading 4202 is 18%, under Notification No. 9/2025-Integrated Tax (Rate) of 17 September 2025, and the Union Budget for 2026-27 cut basic customs duty on goods imported for personal use to 10% from 1 April 2026. For a bag carried in your own luggage, the duty-free allowance and rate are set by the Baggage Rules 2026; check the current figures with customs. For backpacks sold in India by Indian companies, see our audits of Wildcraft, Skybags and VIP Industries.
The 30-year warranty, and where it applies
Every Eastpak page read carries the line “up to 30 years limited warranty”. The published terms narrow it in three ways. The actual term for a bag is whatever its internal care label says. After the legal warranty period, years 3 to 30 cover “only manufacturing defects, such as open seams or fabric that is cut too short”. And the exclusions include “misuse (such as carrying heavy or unusual items), neglect, exposure to extreme temperatures or substances, water, and wear and tear”.
The European warranty page covers faulty zips, buckles, peeling coating and discolouration under the legal warranty. A receipt is needed, or the care label can date the bag. The US page offers “up to 30 years” to “the original owner against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship”, needs proof of purchase from an authorised seller, and leaves inbound shipping to the customer.
For buyers outside the EU, the “Warranty – Other Countries” page gives a two-year legal warranty and a “Limited 30 Year Global Warranty” for years 3 to 30. It tells them to “contact your local EASTPAK distributor”, and if their country is not in the drop-down list, to email eastpakwarranty_general@vfc.com. India is not named in the page text read, and no Indian distributor is published. The bag must go back “empty and clean” through the retailer it was bought from. A buyer in India is left with the email address, and nothing published says how a claim from here is handled.
Checking an Eastpak bag is genuine
Eastpak’s counterfeit page offers no serial, code or QR check for a single bag, and no list of authorised sellers. It tells buyers to “Look for the official highly secured holographic label”, and adds in brackets: “Although even this can be copied, it should not be that easy to remove this label from a genuine Eastpak product.” It also says “Eastpak cannot offer any warranty on counterfeit goods.”
Other bag brands publish more. Tumi’s Tracer page, read the same day, describes a “unique serial code” that it says “cannot be duplicated”. Casio India publishes a list of authorised online sellers, as our Casio audit records. Eastpak’s advice to buy from “an official Eastpak store, authorized Eastpak stockist or from the official eastpak.com webstore” is hard to follow in India, where none of the three is named.
Read the declaration
On any Indian listing or tag, find the importer, the seller and the country of origin. An Eastpak bag sold here should name an importer, since no Indian maker is published.
Find the care label and hologram
The care label sets the warranty term and can date the bag. The holographic label is Eastpak’s only published sign of a genuine bag, and Eastpak says it can be copied.
Keep the receipt, and ask first
Warranty claims need proof of purchase. Before paying a premium for the 30-year promise, email the address on the other-countries page and ask whether an Indian purchase qualifies.
The trade marks in India
The EASTPAK marks in India are held by JanSport Apparel Corp of Wilmington, Delaware, according to a mirror of the Indian trade-mark register. JanSport Apparel Corp appears on VF’s own subsidiary list, which contains no company with “Eastpak” in its name. The word mark 684810, in class 18 for bags, was filed on 27 October 1995 and records an assignment deed dated 7 January 2008 to JanSport Apparel Corp. Its “used since” date of 29 March 2001 is the applicant’s own claim.
The mirror shows 684810 as “Registered” while also showing “valid until 27 October 2025” and “Renewal of trademark is due”; whether it was renewed is not established. The Eastpak logo, 3745693, is shown valid until 6 February 2028. Two new applications were filed on 7 August 2026 and stand at “Ready for Examination”. No registered user, the formal record of a licensee, is shown on either detail page read. A mark on the register is not a shop, and holding one does not show that anyone sells the bags here.
The record in India
A search of Indian Kanoon for “eastpak” on 22 September 2026 showed no judgment. That is nothing found on one database under one term, not proof that nothing exists.
Buyers who want a bag with a named Indian seller behind it have Indian-owned options, covered in our Safari audit. Vans, which sits in the same VF segment as Eastpak, has its own Vans audit.
Common questions
Is Eastpak sold officially in India?
No Indian site, store, distributor or selling company for Eastpak is named in anything read, including VF’s annual report and Eastpak’s own country list. VF says only that Eastpak is sold “throughout Asia by distributors”.
Who owns Eastpak?
V.F. Corporation, the US group that also owns Vans, The North Face and Timberland. VF bought the Eastpak business in May 2000. Its May 2026 results release records a review of strategic alternatives for its packs brands; no sale of Eastpak is filed to 22 September 2026.
Is Eastpak on Myntra?
Not on 22 September 2026. A search for the brand showed no listings.
Does the 30-year warranty cover a bag bought in India?
The policy does not say. Years 3 to 30 cover manufacturing defects only, and buyers outside the EU are told to contact a local distributor or email eastpakwarranty_general@vfc.com. India is not named, so ask before you buy.
How can I tell a genuine Eastpak bag?
Eastpak points only to its holographic label, which it says “can be copied”, and publishes no serial or code check. Read the listing’s importer and origin, and keep the receipt.

Eastpak’s owner is easy to find and well documented: VF files full accounts, names the segment Eastpak sits in and says plainly where the brand sells. The European site publishes clear prices, £50.00 for the Padded Pak’r, and a warranty that spells out what years 3 to 30 cover. For a buyer travelling to Europe, that is a simple purchase with a known seller and a known policy.
For a buyer in India the picture is thin. No Indian partner, site or Myntra shelf exists on the record read, the 30-year promise covers manufacturing defects only after year two and does not name India, and the only published authenticity mark is a hologram the brand itself says can be copied. For an Eastpak bag bought here, check the seller and importer on the listing.
A well-documented brand with no documented route into India; buy it in Europe with a receipt, or read an Indian listing’s declaration and ask the warranty address before you pay.
