Fendi was founded in Rome in 1925 by Adele and Edoardo Fendi and has belonged to LVMH since the turn of the century — acquired in 2000, with the group in its own words “becoming in 2001 its majority shareholder”. What LVMH has never published is a Fendi figure: the house is named in the 2025 registration document, the annual results and the half-year release, every time with no number attached.
India is where this gets sharper. Fendi runs no Indian website, lists no Indian store on its own directory and has no company on the Indian register. On 24 September 2026 its name sat over 278 listings on Myntra all the same.
LVMH publishes no revenue, profit or store count for Fendi in any document read, so every Fendi revenue figure in circulation is somebody’s estimate. In India the house sells nothing itself — no site, no boutique, no Indian company — while 278 listings traded under its name on Myntra on 24 September 2026, the handbags sold by one Delhi company and imported by another. The one place India does appear in Fendi’s own papers is its published supplier list, which names a Mumbai embellishment house.

What the owner publishes, and what it leaves out
LVMH puts Fendi inside its Fashion & Leather Goods business group, one of thirteen Houses the 2025 registration document lists there. That segment took €37,770 million of revenue and €13,209 million of recurring operating profit in the year to 31 December 2025, a 35.0% margin, and €18,146 million and €6,195 million in the six months to 30 June 2026, with organic revenue down 1% and profit down 7%.
Against that, the Fendi line is empty in all three documents, and what they carry instead is narrative. The registration document records the centenary show staged by Silvia Fendi in Milan, a new Palazzo Milano store and Maria Grazia Chiuri’s appointment as Chief Creative Officer in October. The annual results of 27 January 2026 say Fendi “welcomed Maria Grazia Chiuri as its Chief Creative Officer”; the half-year release of 27 July 2026 says she “continued the creative renewal of collections”. Not one of those sentences attaches a figure.
The only Fendi numbers on a public register belong to one company rather than to the brand. Mirrors of the Italian business register carry FENDI S.r.l. at Quadrato della Concordia 3 in Rome — Palazzo della Civiltà, the address Fendi’s own privacy policy gives for its data controller — with a status of “attiva” and turnover of roughly €706 million for 2024 that the mirror attributes to chamber of commerce data. Read that as one Italian company’s turnover for one year, from an aggregator rather than from accounts.
How Fendi reaches India
It does not, in any arrangement the house publishes. There is no India locale on fendi.com; an unrouted visitor gets the American site, and the international version’s footer country line reads “San Marino (en)”. The American terms of sale name FENDI North America, Inc. of 555 Madison Avenue, New York as the seller of record and give the delivery area as “Continental US, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico”. India is not in it, and the legal company-information page names FENDI S.r.l. and Fendi North America Inc., no Indian company. With no Indian storefront there is no Indian seller of record and no grievance officer named anywhere.
The store directory, read on 23 September 2026, lists no Indian address. It does list eleven Asian markets with addresses, from China Mainland and Japan to Singapore and Vietnam, so the directory works for this part of the world and India’s absence is real. DLF Emporio in New Delhi does not carry Fendi on its own brand list either, while listing Dior, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Valentino. Nothing read establishes when a Delhi boutique opened or when it closed, so this page dates no closure.
The companies register says the same from another direction. A search of the register’s mirror for the string FENDI on 23 September 2026 showed twelve companies, and not one is the fashion house or any LVMH company — FENDI-CONSULTING SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED, FENDY HOSPITALITY PRIVATE LIMITED and ten more in the same vein. The same mirror returns Christian Dior Trading India and Louis Vuitton India Retail for their groups, so the search is not what is failing.
Two of Fendi’s own documents then point the other way. Its published supplier list names CHANAKYA INTERNATIONAL PVT. LTD. of Mumbai under the product category “Material Embellishment”. Its privacy policy lists India among the countries to which personal data may be transferred, in a list of places “where FENDI Group companies operate”, alongside Australia, Brazil, China, Japan, Singapore and a dozen more. That second one is a data-transfer list, not a corporate disclosure, and no Indian company stands behind it on the register. Both are printed here side by side and neither resolves the other.
- Store directoryNo Indian address, read 23 September 2026
- Companies registerNo Fendi company; twelve near-spellings
- Privacy policyIndia named where “FENDI Group companies operate”
- Supplier listChanakya International Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, for embellishment
A house that will not sell an Indian buyer a bag does buy Indian embroidery, and prints the supplier’s name itself.
None of that makes a Fendi bag an Indian-made bag: the category printed against the Mumbai company is embellishment, and the house’s own sentence is that its chain is “almost entirely located in Italy”. Indian bag brands such as VIP Industries and Safari print an Indian company, an MRP and a grievance officer on their own pages; Fendi prints a supplier’s Mumbai address and no Indian counter.
Who sells Fendi on the Indian shelf
Myntra’s brand facet held 278 products under “Fendi” on 24 September 2026. The same facet list carries “ANNA FENDI” with 19 products, a different brand that is not added to that count. Twenty-one are handbags, and all 21 records were read for their declarations.
| Declaration line | What 21 Fendi handbag records said, 24 September 2026 |
|---|---|
| Seller of record | Darveys Global Store Private Limited, 21 of 21 |
| Importer | NR Wardrobe Fuss Private Limited, Okhla Phase 2, Delhi, 21 of 21 |
| Country of origin | Italy, 21 of 21 |
| Listings on the facet | 278 as “Fendi”; a separate “ANNA FENDI” facet holds 19 and is another brand |
Both companies are small and Delhi-based. Darveys Global Store Private Limited carries CIN U52609DL2018PTC331151 and NR Wardrobe Fuss Private Limited CIN U51101DL2013PTC259910, each with ₹1,00,000 of paid-up capital, and the register lists the same two directors for both. That is the register speaking, and the whole of what this page says about them: no document read names an authorised arrangement between either company and Fendi, the house publishes no list of authorised Indian sellers, and nothing above is a finding about the goods or against anyone.
Across 100 listings on the main facet — sweaters 11, handbags 11 — the median MRP was ₹1,83,000 and the median charged ₹1,32,840, or 72.6% of MRP, and every one of the 100 was reduced. Filter to handbags and the discounting narrows: across all 21 records the median MRP was ₹3,34,000 and the median charged ₹2,67,290, 80.0% of MRP.
What Fendi costs in India
Fendi sets no Indian price, so there is no MRP to quote — and the phrase “inclusive of all taxes” appears nowhere in the house’s own pages either. What it does publish is two national shelves, and the tax basis differs between them.
| Bag | Reference code | Price, 23 September 2026 | Tax basis stated |
|---|---|---|---|
| Baguette 26424, crackled black leather, fendi.com United States | 8BR850B14MF0QA1 | US$3,500 | Terms of sale: “Product prices do not include all taxes and duties” |
| The same article, fendi.com Italy | 8BR850B14MF0QA1 | €2,700 | None printed on the page read |
| My Peekaboo Medium, crackled black leather, United States | 8BN375B14FF0QA1 | US$6,100 | As above; the article showed sold out on both shelves |
| The same article, Italy | 8BN375B14FF0QA1 | €4,600 | None printed on the page read |
| Fendi, India | — | No price published by Fendi | No statement exists |
Prices printed raw, with no conversion and no computed gap. Other Baguette references read the same day ran US$3,100 to US$8,200 and €2,400 to €6,500.
That leaves the marketplace as the only Indian selling price attached to the name, and the band on this page rests on it: the median MRP across the 21 Fendi handbag listings read on Myntra on 24 September 2026 was ₹3,34,000, far above the ₹40,000 floor where our Luxury band for bags begins. That basis is a price set by a Delhi seller of record on a platform Fendi does not run, not a price Fendi has published. A buyer weighing it against an Indian brand such as Wildcraft is comparing two unrelated purchases.
At the border, integrated GST — the tax charged on imports — runs at 18% on heading 4202 under Notification No. 9/2025-Integrated Tax (Rate) of 17 September 2025, and the Budget annexure cut the duty on goods imported for personal use to 10% from 1 April 2026. No basic customs duty rate appears here, because no official notification setting one was obtained.
Where the bags are made
The owner’s document is thin here and the house’s own is unusually full. LVMH’s 2025 registration document gives Louis Vuitton a count — “twenty-nine workshops for finished leather goods – eighteen in France, four in Spain, four in the United States and three in Italy” — then covers everyone else in one sentence: “Most of the other Maisons in the Fashion and Leather Goods business group have workshops in their countries of origin or in Italy, which cover only a portion of their production needs.” That clause is the whole of what LVMH publishes about where Fendi bags are made. It names no Fendi workshop and does not mention Rome in connection with the house, although the group’s Maison page calls Rome its headquarters.
Fendi itself goes further than most. It publishes a supplier list giving names, addresses, cities, regions, countries, product categories, employee numbers and certifications for its tier-one and raw-material suppliers, running to several hundred entries; its traceability page says the relationships allow it “to confidently disclose the names, addresses, and types of production of its tier 1 and raw material suppliers”. The concentrations read on 23 September 2026 are Tuscany, Lombardy, Veneto and Marche, with further suppliers in France, Spain, Portugal, Albania, India and China. On the Indian shelf, all 21 handbag records declared Italy.
The audit numbers are the house’s own and not all of them flatter it. Fendi records 2,453 social and environmental audits on its suppliers within LVMH’s two-year 2024–25 plan, 760 audits performed by Fendi in 2025, and 81% of production coming from audited suppliers. Of the 2025 social audits, 40% were rated satisfactory, 51% needing improvement, 8% needing major improvement and 1% unacceptable. On materials it claims 99% of production from suppliers certified by the Leather Working Group, 86% of leather from tanneries with that group’s Gold or Silver rating, and 100% of fur pelts FURMARK certified in 2025 — one of the few large houses still publishing a fur programme rather than a fur ban.
Checking a bag is the real thing
Fendi runs a page headed “Authenticity & Counterfeiting at FENDI”, and its advice is about where you buy and nothing else: “it is essential to purchase only from authorized sources.” The sources named are fendi.com, Fendi boutiques and “select authorised multi-brand retailers” — and not one of those retailers is named, so no authorised Indian seller is named anywhere on the site. Fendi also says it “employs advanced traceability processes to guarantee authenticity from production to purchase” — an internal process, not anything a buyer can use.
What the pages read on 23 September 2026 do not carry is a check a buyer could run: no serial-number lookup, no date-code guide, no hologram or security-label description, no QR code or chip, no verification page. Fendi is also not named on the Aura Blockchain Consortium’s members page, which was readable the same day and does name Louis Vuitton, Dior, Prada, Miu Miu, Bvlgari, Cartier, Loro Piana and Rimowa among more than forty brands. A list that returns those names and not this one is a list that works.
The checks are the ordinary ones. Buy at a boutique in a market where Fendi has one and keep the invoice; match the reference code on the tag against fendi.com’s listing for that article; and on any Indian listing read the seller of record, the importer and the country-of-origin line before paying.
Fendi names “select authorised multi-brand retailers” and lists none of them, and publishes no warranty term for its leather goods. Treat the invoice and the listing’s importer line as the only paper you will hold, and read both before you pay.
The record in India
The Indian courts database, searched on 23 September 2026, showed 33 results for “Fendi” and one for “Fendi Adele”, against 132 for a comparable luxury house, Christian Louboutin, on the same database in the same pass. So the short file below is a finding about the litigation rather than about the search: nine of the first ten “Fendi” results are other parties’ matters in which the word appears incidentally.
One decided matter names a Fendi company. In CS (COMM) No. 378 of 2019, an Additional District Judge at the Patiala House Courts in Delhi gave judgment on 2 February 2024 for M/s Fendi Adele S.R.L. of 968 Via Flaminia, Rome — a different Rome address from the Fendi S.r.l. at Quadrato della Concordia, so two Fendi companies sit behind this page. The defendant, a Delhi trader who is not named here, filed an initial response and then stopped appearing, so the suit was decided in that party’s absence, ex parte, never tested on the merits. The court granted a permanent injunction against use of the FENDI marks, ordered 146 seized items delivered up, and awarded compensatory and punitive damages of ₹1.5 lakh with interest at 9% a year from the decree.
The limits matter as much as the result. An undefended decree is not a contested win: that decision was taken on that matter as it then stood, between those parties, on the material before that court, and reaches nothing beyond them. It attaches to Fendi Adele S.r.l. and to no Indian company, because there is none. Nobody has ruled on any listing, seller or importer named on this page, and nothing here is a finding against any of them.
One check stayed shut. The Indian trade-mark register’s public search now needs a one-time-password sign-in, so it was not readable in this pass, and this audit says nothing about who holds the FENDI marks in India. The Delhi court proceeded on the footing that Fendi Adele S.r.l. holds registered FENDI marks, which is a pleaded registration a court accepted.
Common questions
Can I buy a Fendi bag from Fendi in India?
No. There is no India locale on fendi.com, the store directory listed no Indian address on 23 September 2026, and the American terms of sale limit delivery to the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. No Fendi company appears on the Indian register either, so there is no Indian seller of record and no grievance officer to write to.
Who sells Fendi on Myntra?
All 21 handbag records read on 24 September 2026 named Darveys Global Store Private Limited as seller of record and NR Wardrobe Fuss Private Limited as importer — two Delhi companies with ₹1,00,000 of paid-up capital each and the same two directors on the register. No document read names an authorised arrangement between either of them and the house.
How much does a Fendi bag cost in India?
Fendi publishes no Indian price. The only rupee figures are the marketplace’s: across the 21 handbag listings read on 24 September 2026 the median MRP was ₹3,34,000 and the median charged ₹2,67,290, or 80.0% of MRP. That median is the stated basis for the Luxury band on this page.
Does Fendi make anything in India?
Its own published supplier list names Chanakya International Pvt. Ltd. of Mumbai under the category “Material Embellishment”, so India is in the supply chain for embellishment work. Fendi’s own sentence is that the chain is “almost entirely located in Italy”, and all 21 Indian handbag records read declared Italy as the country of origin.
Can Fendi tell me whether my bag is real?
Nothing published lets a buyer check one bag. The authenticity page recommends buying “only from authorized sources” and names no individual retailer; there is no serial lookup, date code, hologram, code or chip on the pages read on 23 September 2026. Fendi is not an Aura Blockchain Consortium member either, so no digital passport applies.

On making things, Fendi discloses more than most of its peers. LVMH gives Louis Vuitton a workshop count and gives Fendi a clause; Fendi answers with a named, addressed supplier list running to several hundred entries, 760 audits of its own in 2025, and the unflattering line inside them — 1% of social audits rated unacceptable and 8% needing major improvement.
For an Indian buyer almost none of it turns into recourse. There is no Indian site, no Indian price, no boutique, no company on the register, no named authorised seller and no way to check one bag — while 278 listings trade under the name on a marketplace the house does not run, through two Delhi companies with ₹1,00,000 of capital each, at a handbag median MRP of ₹3,34,000 Fendi had no hand in setting. The only Indian address the house itself prints is a supplier’s, in Mumbai, for embellishment work.
Buy this one abroad with an invoice in your hand, because in India the price, the seller and the redress all belong to somebody else.
