Indo Era is an Indian women’s ethnic wear brand selling kurta sets, kurtas, suits, dresses and co-ord sets, mostly for ₹1,000 to ₹2,000. It launched in 2019 on Myntra and Amazon, and it is run by Zenzior Brand Technology Private Limited of Surat.

Its rise has been unusually quick, from a start-up to about ₹215 crore of net revenue in FY24. Across the 25 Indo Era products we track, the typical piece sold for ₹1,599.

The short answer

Indo Era is a genuine Indian brand, started by a former Myntra employee and made in India by contract factories in Surat, Jaipur and Kolkata. A typical kurta set sells for about ₹1,600, which is fair for what you get. The MRP is not: the median discount on our listings was 68%, so judge a ₹5,399 MRP set as a ₹1,600 set.

How it started

Srishti Tanwani studied fashion management at NIFT and worked at Myntra for eight months. There she met Ambrish Miyani and Deepak Sheta, who supplied the start-up as vendors. They registered the business in 2018 and launched Indo Era on Myntra and Amazon in March 2019, with 120 products.

The range now runs to more than 4,800 products. The business was a partnership firm until January 2023, when it became a private limited company. That is why its FY23 filing shows only ₹3.11 crore: the founder says it understates the real scale.

What they actually make

Indo Era sells women’s ethnic and Indo-western clothes. Kurta sets are the core: 24 of the 25 products we track are kurta and suit sets. New designs reach the market in 20 to 45 days, according to the company.

It does not run its own factories in the usual sense. Inc42 reported that contract partners in Surat, Jaipur and Kolkata work only for the brand, handling fabric buying, embroidery and stitching. On 30 October 2026, three Indo Era sets we checked on Myntra listed India as the country of origin and named Zenzior Brand Technology, Ashirwad Textile Market, Magob, Surat, as the manufacturer.

On Myntra the same day, a floral cotton set with a ₹2,999 MRP sold for ₹1,196, and an embroidered set with dupatta marked ₹3,999 sold for ₹1,395.

At about ₹1,600 for a set, Indo Era sits close to Libas. Anouk and Biba show lower typical prices here, but those lists include many single kurtas rather than full sets.

Who Indo Era is actually for

Indo Era suits a woman who wants a full kurta set for office, a family function or a festival at about ₹1,000 to ₹2,000, and who shops online. It began with buyers in smaller cities and is now moving into the metros.

It is less suited to anyone who wants handcrafted or artisan clothes, since this is a large, fast-moving range. It also has few stores, so most buyers cannot try before they buy.

Where it wins

Full kurta sets at about ₹1,600

Made in India by dedicated contract partners

Large choice of styles

Where to be careful

MRPs are far above the real price

Few stores, so fit is hard to check

Growth figures are mostly the founder’s own

Reputation and controversies

Indo Era’s record is mainly its growth story. The gap between the founder’s ₹300 crore gross figure and the filed ₹214.88 crore net figure for FY24 is normal: gross sales are counted before returns and discounts. Filed net revenue is the figure to trust.

The company said in 2025 that it had five stores and planned 25 more that year, focused on metros. It was also bootstrapped at launch, and it told Inc42 it spent nothing on marketing until 2024.

Buying it in India

Check 01

Check the maker line

Genuine listings name Zenzior Brand Technology Private Limited, Surat, with India as the country of origin.

Check 02

Know the fair price

Most Indo Era kurta sets sell for ₹1,000 to ₹2,000. Near the MRP, you are overpaying by a wide margin.

Check 03

Read the fabric

Sets come in different fabrics. For Indian summers, the listing’s fabric line matters more than the discount.

Check 04

Compare the same set across apps

Indo Era sells on several marketplaces, so check the same design on Myntra, Flipkart and Amazon before you buy.

The FA take

Indo Era is a real Indian success story: three founders, a fast-growing range and clothes made in India by dedicated partners. At about ₹1,600 for a kurta set, it is fair value.

The MRP is the weak spot. A median 68% discount makes the printed price meaningless, and the biggest growth numbers come from the founder rather than from filings.

Buy Indo Era at ₹1,600 for a complete set you like, and never let a ₹5,399 MRP convince you it is a bargain.
