Maniac brand audit cover card from Fashion Audit

Maniac is an Indian menswear label selling oversized T-shirts, polos, joggers and cargo pants, mostly for under ₹1,000. It sells online on Myntra and other marketplaces, and we found no stores.

Very little is published about who runs it. What the listings do show is a Tiruppur knitwear company, Friske Knits Private Limited, as both maker and seller. Across the 21 Maniac products we track, the typical piece sold for ₹699.

The short answer

Maniac is a low-profile Indian streetwear label, made in India and sold on Myntra by Friske Knits Private Limited of Tiruppur. T-shirts at a typical ₹460 are fair value, because Tiruppur is one of India’s main knitwear centres. Its MRPs mean little, with a median 65% discount. There is almost no public information about the company, so judge each item on its reviews.

How it started

Maniac has no public founding story that we could find, and no press coverage of founders, funding or sales.

The clearest trace is on the listings. Friske Knits Private Limited has sold on Amazon.in since 2016, according to the seller-tracking site SellerRatings, which shows a 4.4 out of 5 rating across 3,710 reviews. That is a rating of the seller, not of Maniac’s clothes alone.

Worth knowing

No filing or report we could find states who owns the Maniac name or what it sells in a year. Treat it as a small marketplace label and judge each item on its reviews and fabric.

What they actually make

Maniac is knitwear-led: 13 of the 21 products we track are T-shirts, most of them oversized, with track pants, shirts and cargo pants behind them.

On 30 October 2026, three Maniac pieces we checked on Myntra listed India as the country of origin. All three named Friske Knits Private Limited, Kaniyampoondi Road, Avinashi, Tiruppur, as the manufacturer, and all three were sold by the same company.

That combination matters. When the maker and the seller are one company, there is less room for confusion over who is responsible if something goes wrong.

Who Maniac is actually for

Maniac suits young men who want an oversized T-shirt or a pair of joggers for under ₹1,000 and are comfortable buying from a label they do not know much about, based on reviews.

It is the wrong choice if you want a brand with stores, a visible company behind it or a long record you can check. For similar money, better-documented labels are available.

Where it wins

Oversized T-shirts at about ₹460

Made in India, in a knitwear centre

Maker and seller are the same company

Where to be careful

Almost no public company information

MRPs are three to four times the real price

No stores to try sizes

Reputation and controversies

We found no press coverage of Maniac, good or bad. For a small marketplace label that is normal. It means the only public evidence of quality is customer reviews, which vary by item.

The seller’s overall Amazon rating is decent, but a seller rating also reflects delivery and packing. It should not be read as proof of how a particular T-shirt wears after many washes.

Buying it in India

Check 01

Check the seller name

On Myntra, look for Friske Knits Private Limited as maker and seller, with India as the country of origin.

Check 02

Read reviews for the exact item

With a small label, the brand name tells you little. Look for photos and for comments after several washes.

Check 03

Size with care

Most tees are oversized on purpose. Compare the size chart with a T-shirt you own.

Check 04

Know the fair price

T-shirts sell for about ₹460 and joggers for about ₹1,000. Paying near the MRP makes no sense.

Common questions

Is Maniac an Indian brand?

It appears to be. Its Myntra listings show India as the country of origin, and name Friske Knits Private Limited of Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, as maker and seller. We found no published company history.

Who owns Maniac?

No document we could find states this. Friske Knits Private Limited is named on the listings as maker and seller, but that alone does not prove who owns the brand name.

Is Maniac good quality?

At about ₹460 for a T-shirt it is fair for the price, and the seller has a good overall rating on Amazon. Read reviews for the exact item, because there is little other evidence.

Why is Maniac so cheap?

Its real prices are low and its MRPs are high. All 21 listings we checked sold at 50% or more below MRP, with a median discount of 65%.

Where can I buy Maniac?

Online, on Myntra and other marketplaces. On Myntra, check that Friske Knits is named as the seller. We found no Maniac stores.

The FA take

Maniac is a low-cost, made-in-India label, and at about ₹460 for a T-shirt from a Tiruppur knitwear maker the deal is fair on its face.

But it is close to a blank page. We found no founder, no sales figure and no clear owner of the name, and its MRPs are three to four times what anyone pays. Better-documented labels sell at about the same price.

Buy a Maniac tee if the reviews on that exact item are good, and do not expect the brand name to promise much.
