The Indian Garage Co Brand Audit: Styleverse on the Pack

Who owns The Indian Garage Co, which Bengaluru company sells and signs for it, and what TMRW's ₹155 crore investment does and does not tell a buyer.
The Indian Garage Co brand audit by FashionAudit: The Indian Garage Co logo and the headline “Styleverse on the Pack” over folded t-shirts and a printed shirt beside a pair of jeans on a dark surface

The Indian Garage Co, shortened to TIGC on its own site and app, is a Bengaluru clothing label, and the company named at the foot of tigc.in is Styleverse Lifestyle Private Limited, incorporated on 12 June 2023. The site’s terms call the store “The Indian Garage Co, a part of Styleverse Lifestyle Private Limited”. “Indian Garage” also turns up an unrelated “India Garage” account on X and car-repair marks in class 37; none of those is this label.

Brand pages, mirrors and press items below were read on 29 September 2026. The marketplace figures are a separate reading, dated 30 September 2026, when a large Indian fashion marketplace carried 8,878 listings under its The Indian Garage Co facet; of twenty opened, Styleverse sold sixteen and followed “Manufactured By”, in one of two spellings, on eighteen.

The short answer

Styleverse Lifestyle Private Limited, a Karnataka company registered in 2023, runs tigc.in, is printed as proprietor on three “Registered” class 25 marks on the mirror, and was the signer on 18 of the 20 marketplace records opened; the other two print the brand name itself on that line. An older 2015 mark is printed to a partnership firm called The Indian Garage Co. TMRW put ₹155 crore into TIGC in 2023, by the Aditya Birla Group’s page; no document read gives its stake. Own-site prices ran ₹1,249 to ₹2,499, returns run seven days, and the terms supply goods “as is”.

Who owns The Indian Garage Co

The label is older than the company that runs it. Styleverse was incorporated on 12 June 2023 under the Registrar of Companies in Bangalore, and two register mirrors, InstaFinancials and Tofler, show it “Active”. InstaFinancials gives the registered office as “No. 3/A, Sy No. 38/3,38/4,G B Palya, Hongasandra,Bangalore South”, the address tigc.in prints. The brand’s start is dated three ways: 2011 in Inc42’s profile, 2012 on the Aditya Birla Group’s page and in an Inc42 report of 25 October 2023, and use claimed from 2010 on three marks. The sources disagree, and all three stand.

The mirrors part ways on detail. InstaFinancials prints paid-up capital of ₹1,00,11,570, which Tofler rounds to “₹ 1.0 Cr”. InstaFinancials files the company under code 14101, “Manufacture Of Wearing Apparel”, the digits inside the CIN; Tofler’s industry label reads “Mining and Quarrying”. The register mirror read shows no holding company.

No audited statement was read, so each revenue number belongs to whoever printed it. Tofler gives a band, “₹ 100 cr – 500 cr” for the year to 31 March 2024. Inc42’s profile, an aggregator, shows “₹206.9 Cr+ (FY25)”; Medial, a news digest, gives ₹204 crore for FY25 against ₹101.5 crore for FY24, with a ₹23 crore loss after a ₹5 crore profit. The two FY25 numbers differ, and the basis of each is not stated.

The Aditya Birla link is an investment whose size is published and whose share is not.

“In 2023, TMRW invested INR 155 Crore in TIGC.”

Aditya Birla Group, TIGC brand page (undated), read 29 September 2026.

Inc42 reported the same ₹155 crore on 25 October 2023, stake “not disclosed”. The group’s page places TMRW within Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) and calls TIGC “an asset-light, EBITDA-positive D2C firm”; the brand’s About page says “Part of TMRW, backed by the Aditya Birla Group”. No document read gives a percentage or a change of control, and ABFRL’s 2025-26 annual report, in the opening pages read, and two of its exchange intimations of 17 September 2026 do not name Styleverse or TIGC. TMRW is an investor of a stated amount, and nothing more is claimed here.

How The Indian Garage Co reaches the shelf

On everything a shopper can open, one company fills the roles. The footer, privacy policy, terms, retail terms and store locator on tigc.in name Styleverse, the terms add that the shop is hosted on Shopify Inc., and the TIGC app is a second own channel.

Indian Retailer, reporting the first exclusive outlet on Brigade Road, Bengaluru, on 14 October 2024, listed sale through Myntra, Ajio, Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho and “approximately 100 Fashion Factory stores”, and an aim of “100 stores across the country in the next 3-5 years”. That is a 2024 plan, not a count, and the store locator shows shops only by state and city, with no total.

The Indian Garage Co on the shelf

The Indian Garage Co facet carried 8,878 listings on 30 September 2026. Three neighbouring facets were kept apart, Freehand by The Indian Garage Co (2,300), The Indian Garage Co. X Luxe (476) and Hardsoda by The Indian Garage Co (418), the first and last of which the Aditya Birla Group page names as womenswear and plus-size labels.

The first forty in facet order were 23 T-shirts, 12 jackets, two shorts, two trousers and one jeans. Their median tag was ₹2,799 and median selling price ₹1,121.50, a 40.1% share, with 38 below MRP; a Men Longline Tailored Jacket was tagged ₹6,549 and sold at ₹2,943. Thirty T-shirts behind the category filter gave ₹2,699 and ₹1,059, 39.2%, all thirty reduced.

Of ten Indian clothing facets read that day, six showed a higher share than TIGC, led by The Bear House at 80.4%, and three a lower one, down to Vishudh at 25.9%.

Twenty were opened for their declarations; long entries are shown as far as the field displays them.

A large Indian fashion marketplace, The Indian Garage Co facet, 20 records opened, read 30 September 2026.

“Lifetstyle” is the field’s spelling, one letter away from the registered name; both strings start at 3/A, Sy No. 38/3.

Where The Indian Garage Co is made

Nothing read identifies a TIGC factory, a contract maker or a sourcing country. The two own-site product pages read state no origin; the twenty marketplace records all say India. The group page’s “asset-light” is the only published description of how the goods are produced, and code 14101 is a classification, not proof of a plant.

On a TIGC pack, “Manufactured By” records who answers for the article under India’s packaging rules, not where the cloth was cut. On eighteen records that is Styleverse at Hongasandra, one version adding “38/4B & 38/5B”, survey numbers the InstaFinancials office string lacks. The other two give a Bommanahalli Industrial area address under the brand name, with no legal form after it. No document read calls either address a plant.

The black shirt and the olive sweatshirt both say “Polyester Blend”, with care “Dry Clean” and “Machine Wash”; neither gives a percentage or GSM, and no sustainability claim or certifier appeared on the pages read.

A partnership firm on the older mark

Every trade-mark reading on this page comes from QuickCompany, a site that mirrors the Indian register, not from the registry’s own screens.

Such an entry settles little: whose name the office records against a word or device for a class of goods, the filing date, the applicant’s own claimed use date and a status word. It is silent on who sews, sells or stands behind any single shirt.

QuickCompany mark pages and its “indian garage” search, read 29 September 2026. The proprietor strings differ from one another and are printed as the mirror gives them.

The 2015 device mark is printed to “The Indian Garage Co”, a “Partnership Firm”, “Trading As : The Indian Garage Co., Manufacturer And Merchant”; its class 35 companion, No. 2997914, carries the same firm. Its status and validity lines, “Registered” and a valid-upto date of 1 July 2025, are given here as the mirror prints them.

No. 5571581 shows a filing date of 17 August 2022 and, on the day read, Styleverse as proprietor; both are printed as the mirror gives them. The same search prints Styleverse Lifestyle on five more “Registered” marks in classes 9, 18 and 35, and on further applications in classes 3, 10, 14, 18 and 35, “Ready for Examination”.

Nothing read says whether the business moved from firm to company, or when. The two Bommanahalli maker lines print “The Indian Garage Co” with no legal form after it; no document read connects them to the firm, so they stay printed strings.

Returns, warranty and who answers

Online, tigc.in allows “7 days” from delivery to return and “7 days” to exchange, “Exchange only for size”, on goods “unused and in original packaging”. “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” pieces are “Non-returnable. Only size exchange allowed”. Prepaid money goes to the “Original payment method”, cash-on-delivery money by “Bank transfer”, and “Shipping not refunded”. The quality check can take “up to 15 days” before a refund lands “1–3 working days after refund initiation”.

TIGC shops run on separate terms: exchange “within 15 days of the purchase date”, and “We do not offer cash refunds or credit card payment reversals. You will receive a credit note with a validity of three months.” Under those terms a shop buyer gets fifteen days to swap and a credit note, not cash.

No product warranty appears on the pages read. The terms point the other way, providing products “‘as is’ and ‘as available'” and “without any representation, warranties or conditions of any kind”, unless expressly stated. Product pages add a “7 days Money Back Guarantee”, which only the returns page’s conditions fill in.

The privacy policy designates a grievance officer by name, with a tigc.in email; FashionAudit prints the office, not the person. The terms give care@tigc.in and 080-48637777. On the marketplace, Styleverse sold sixteen of the twenty records opened and Truenet Commerce four; that platform’s return terms were not read.

What The Indian Garage Co costs in India

No source read prints a TIGC price outside India, so the useful comparison is the brand’s own site against the marketplace.

tigc.in itemCodeMRPSelling pricePrice as % of tag

tigc.in product pages, the all-products collection and the home page, read 29 September 2026; the last column is the selling price over the MRP.

The brand’s site sold at 45.0% to 54.3% of the tag; the marketplace’s first forty came in lower, their median paid 40.1% of a ₹2,799 median MRP that sits inside the own-site range. No code was paired with a marketplace listing, so these are printed figures side by side, not one garment priced twice.

Other Indian casualwear names have their own pages here, among them FashionAudit’s Bewakoof audit and the Rare Rabbit audit.

Checking a TIGC garment is genuine

The pages read name no authorised sellers, and “100% Genuine Quality” on product pages comes with no method attached. What a shopper can test is printed on the pack and the bill.

Check 01

Look for Styleverse on the maker line

Eighteen of the twenty records opened carried Styleverse there, nine spelt “Lifetstyle”; two printed “The Indian Garage Co” at Bommanahalli. Put any other company printed on that line to the seller before paying.

Check 02

Note who sold it

STYLEVERSE LIFESTYLE PRIVATE LIMITED was the seller on 16 records and Truenet Commerce on 4, read 30 September 2026. Check which of the two names the listing and the invoice carry.

Check 03

Price it on tigc.in

Four own-site items sold at ₹1,249 to ₹2,499 on 29 September 2026, and the marketplace’s first forty at a ₹1,121.50 median. Set a listing beside the same item on tigc.in before paying.

Check 04

Use the contacts the terms print

care@tigc.in and 080-48637777 are the channels the terms of service give. The privacy policy names a grievance officer with a tigc.in address.

The record in India

The record read is register material: Styleverse “Active”, three class 25 marks “Registered”, a 2026 logo “Ready for Examination”, and the firm’s 2015 mark. No court database was among the documents read, and FashionAudit did not find a court matter involving the label or Styleverse in them. Nobody has ruled on anything this page says about the TIGC marks, the pack lines or the shop’s terms; the names stand as each document prints them. The retail terms’ “the jurisdiction of Bangalore shall apply” is a contract clause, not a case.

Who The Indian Garage Co is actually for

TIGC fits a buyer after a casual shirt, sweatshirt, jacket or jeans at ₹1,249 to ₹2,499 on the brand’s site, who wants the seller and the signer to be one company, as on most records read. The About page’s “60L+ Customers” and “2Cr+ Products Sold” carry no stated basis.

It fits less well one who wants fibre percentages or cash back after a shop purchase. Compare it with our audit of Max Fashion or the Flying Machine page.

Common questions

Is TIGC an Aditya Birla brand?

The brand’s About page says “Part of TMRW, backed by the Aditya Birla Group”, and the group’s own page records TMRW’s ₹155 crore investment in 2023. No document read gives the percentage or shows Styleverse as a group subsidiary, so the link is an investment of stated size.

What is the partnership firm on the older TIGC mark?

Where are The Indian Garage Co clothes made?

The FA take

The Indian Garage Co leads quickly to one Bengaluru company. Styleverse runs tigc.in, is printed on the current class 25 marks, sold sixteen of twenty marketplace records opened and signed eighteen, and TMRW’s ₹155 crore is on the Aditya Birla Group’s own page.

The paper is younger than the name. The company dates from June 2023, the older mark is printed to a same-named partnership firm, two maker lines carry the brand name alone, TMRW’s stake is undisclosed and the revenue figures read are differing aggregator and press numbers. Goods come “as is”, and a shop refund is a credit note.

A traceable Bengaluru casualwear label: buy it on the selling price, read the seller line and keep the invoice; seven days online and a shop credit note are what the pages read put in writing.
