Zenith is a Swiss watchmaker from Le Locle, and it has belonged to the French luxury group LVMH since the second half of 1999. Its owner’s own page dates it to 1865. The name is best known for the El Primero, the chronograph movement that LVMH says the group still designs and makes itself.
Zenith has no Indian website and no India entry in its country selector. Its own store locator, read on 22 September 2026, nonetheless lists six Indian addresses: five authorised retailers and one service centre.
LVMH owns Zenith and does not publish the brand’s revenue. Zenith reaches India through independent retailers on its own locator, three of the six entries being Ethos stores, and no Indian distributor is named in anything read. The same Chronomaster Sport reference cost CHF 10’900 at a Swiss dealer and ₹13,62,500 at a Bengaluru retailer on 22 September 2026. The warranty is two years, five with registration, valid at authorised service centres worldwide, and Zenith lists one in Mumbai.

Who owns Zenith
LVMH’s 1999 annual report explains its new watch division in one line: “The creation of this new business area follows the acquisitions of TAG Heuer, Ebel, Chaumet and Zenith during the second half of the year.” CNN Money reported on 15 November 1999 that LVMH “took control of family-owned Swiss watchmaker Zenith” and did not disclose the value. No price appears in any LVMH document read, so none appears here.
The company behind the website is Swiss. Zenith’s international legal notice names the publisher as “ZENITH, BRANCH OF LVMH SWISS MANUFACTURES SA”, at Billodes 34 in Le Locle, registered in Neuchâtel under CHE-433.384.643. The American version of the notice says “ZENITH” and its logo are “Swiss registered trademarks of LVMH Swiss Manufactures SA”. The homepage footer shortens the company name to “LVMH Manufactures S.A.”, a small difference between Zenith’s own pages; this audit uses the legal notice’s form.
LVMH’s Zenith page names Benoit de Clerck as chief executive. In January 2026 several European outlets reported that LVMH was preparing to sell the brand, and Watch Collecting Lifestyle quoted an LVMH spokesperson replying: “No plan for the sale.” No LVMH filing read records a sale, and on 22 September 2026 Zenith remained an LVMH Maison.
The group’s numbers are very large, and none of them is Zenith’s. For the year to 31 December 2025, LVMH reported revenue of €80.8 billion and a group-share net profit of €10.9 billion; its Watches & Jewelry group, which also holds Bvlgari, Tiffany & Co., TAG Heuer and Hublot, took €10,486 million. For the first half of 2026, Watches & Jewelry revenue was €5,225 million, up 9% on an organic basis. LVMH reports by business group, not by Maison, so no Zenith sales figure exists in anything it publishes. The FY2025 release mentions Zenith once, for “much-remarked limited editions from Hublot and Zenith”. Its sister brand gets its own page in the FashionAudit TAG Heuer audit.
Where Zenith watches are made
LVMH’s 2025 Universal Registration Document, the group’s annual filing, says: “At its Swiss workshops and manufacturing centers, the Group assembles a substantial proportion of the watches and chronographs sold under the TAG Heuer, Hublot, Zenith, Tiffany & Co., Bvlgari and Chaumet brands.” It adds that the group designs and makes mechanical movements “such as El Primero and Elite by Zenith”.
The same document says “Zenith continued to modernize its unique manufacturing facility in Le Locle”, and LVMH’s Zenith page says the site “counts 18 buildings”. Neither document publishes a count of outside suppliers or a split by country, so the page goes no further than those sentences. “A substantial proportion” is LVMH’s phrase, and it is not a percentage.
How Zenith reaches India
No Indian distributor for Zenith is named in anything read. There is no Indian Zenith website, so there are no Indian terms of use or privacy policy to name an operator. What Zenith does publish is a store locator with an India page, headed “India – 6 Stores”, and it is the brand’s own list of who sells and services its watches here.

Ethos stores make up three of the six entries on Zenith’s locator: Ethos Summit in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, Ethos Watches at Palladium in Lower Parel, Mumbai, and Ethos Summit at Phoenix Market City, Pune. Ethos Ltd, listed on the NSE, printed “ZENITH” with an asterisk among the brand logos in its 2023–24 annual report; the asterisk carries no footnote in the text read. The locator calls each store an authorised retailer, and no document read calls Ethos Zenith’s distributor.
The Bengaluru entry, spelt “Time Vallee Bengalore” on the locator, gives its address under the name “Aetas Retail Private Limited”, on Lavelle Cross Road. Register mirrors show Aetas Retail as an unlisted private company incorporated in Maharashtra in 2013. The same company is named in the footer of artoftimeindia.com, which sells Zenith watches online and supplies the Indian prices below. The Hyderabad entry reads “KWC Luxurio” and Zenith does not spell the initials out, so neither does this page.
LVMH does have an Indian company with watches in its name. LVMH Watch and Jewellery India Private Limited, CIN U36911DL2002PTC116039, was incorporated in Delhi on 1 July 2002, and register mirrors show its last balance sheet as 31 March 2023. No document read links that company to Zenith, and LVMH’s 2025 filing pages read do not mention India. This page therefore names no Indian company as Zenith’s importer.
Zenith on Myntra
Myntra has no Zenith watch shelf. On 22 September 2026 a search for “zenith” offered only a brand filter called Zenith Trove, with 16 listings, and “zenith watch” offered nothing; the catalogue count for the watch brand was zero. The search was working that day, because Columbia, the control brand used across these readings, returned 2,428 listings in the same session.
So there is no Myntra price, seller of record or statutory declaration to report for Zenith. The listings under Zenith Trove belong to a different name.
Warranty and service in India
Zenith’s international warranty page reads: “An international guarantee nonetheless covers any potential manufacturing flaws for a period of two years as of the date of purchase.” It then adds: “For watches purchased from 1st January 2022, we offer three additional years guarantees by registering your watch on our website.” Registered, that is five years in all.
On territory, the page says “The international guarantee is valid in all officially authorised ZENITH service centres worldwide”. Zenith’s own India list names one such point, Swiss Paradise Service Center in Borivali West, Mumbai. No Zenith page read uses the word India in its warranty terms, and none says in terms that a watch bought abroad will be serviced here. What can be said is that the worldwide wording and an Indian service centre both sit on Zenith’s own pages.
The conditions are the usual ones. The watch must come from a Zenith boutique or authorised dealer, with the guarantee certificate completed with the dealer’s name and address, the purchase date and the reference. The guarantee does not cover “the natural wearing out of leather, fabric or rubber straps, as well as potential scratches on the case or the sapphire crystals”. Art of Time’s product pages state “2 Years + 3 Years Through Zenith Registeration”, spelling as printed. No Indian service price or service interval is published anywhere read.
What Zenith says about its movements
Zenith names its own movements, which makes this section simpler than most. The product page for the Chronomaster Sport, reference 03.3100.3600/69.M3100, describes a 41 mm steel watch with a black ceramic bezel and a “1/10th of a second El Primero chronograph”. The collection page names the El Primero 3600 and promises a “true 1/10th of a second indication” and a “power reserve of 60 hours”.
The Defy Skyline, reference 03.9300.3620/51.I001, is described as carrying the “El Primero 3620 high-frequency automatic manufacture movement” in a 41 mm octagonal steel case. Zenith’s page gives no frequency. The Swiss dealer Lionel Meylan lists both watches at 36,000 vibrations per hour, or 5 Hz, and water resistance of 10 ATM; those are the dealer’s figures, not Zenith’s. The simpler Elite Classic, reference 03.3100.670/02.C922, carries an “Automatic ELITE movement with 50 hours power reserve” in a 40.50 mm case.
The bigger claims are the owner’s. LVMH’s Zenith page calls the 1969 El Primero “the first automatic chronograph” and credits the brand with “2,333 precision timekeeping awards since 1903”, “600 movement variations” and “300 patents filed”. Those are LVMH’s own figures, and no independent source for them was read. None of the three product pages read states a chronometer certificate, so this page claims none.
What Zenith costs in India
Zenith’s Swiss product pages did not show a price on 22 September 2026, so the home-market figures below come from Lionel Meylan in Vevey, which describes itself as an “Agent Officiel avec garantie internationale”. The Indian figures come from Art of Time, the online shop of Aetas Retail, whose Bengaluru store is on Zenith’s locator. Both pairs are matched on Zenith’s own reference code, not on a model name.

The Indian pages say “Tax included” rather than “inclusive of all taxes”, and the word MRP did not appear on them, so this page prints the words as they stand. No conversion is made and no gap is printed. Ethos’s Zenith listing showed 30 watches between ₹6,79,400 and ₹37,90,000 that day, but without reference numbers, so none of those can be matched to a Swiss price.
On duty, only one thing can be said: the Budget 2026-27 cut the duty on goods imported for personal use to 10% from 1 April 2026, and how that applies to a watch in practice is not established. The two Bengaluru prices put Zenith’s core steel chronographs above ₹1 lakh, which is the basis for this page’s price band.
Zenith has no Indian website, yet its own locator names every Indian shop it authorises, down to the service centre in Borivali.
Buying a genuine Zenith
Zenith’s pages read publish no serial-number check, hologram or verification page, and this page invents no tell. Its FAQ carries a question about certifying a watch and its parts as genuine, but the answer did not display on the page as read. What Zenith does publish is the warranty condition and the retailer list, and a buyer can work with both.
Buy from the locator
Zenith’s India page names five retailers and one service centre. Buy from a store on that list and ask for the guarantee certificate.
Check the certificate
Zenith’s warranty needs the dealer’s name and address, the purchase date and the reference on the certificate. Make sure all four are filled in.
Match the reference
Zenith references run like 03.3100.3600/69.M3100. Look the number up on zenith-watches.com and compare the case, size and movement.
Register the watch
For watches bought from 1 January 2022, registering on Zenith’s website adds three years to the two-year guarantee. Keep the receipt with the card.
The record in India
A search of Indian Kanoon, the judgments database, on 22 September 2026 for “zenith watches LVMH”, and for “Zenith”, “wrist watches” and “trade mark”, showed no judgments. The database was answering that day: “Louis Vuitton Malletier” showed 304 results in the same session. Those searches do not cover district-court records beyond the database, the trade-mark registry or consumer commissions, so read this as nothing found under those terms on that day, not as a statement about every court or registry.
Who Zenith is actually for
Zenith suits a buyer who wants an in-house Swiss chronograph with a named movement, a 1/10th-second El Primero and a guarantee that can reach five years, and who is prepared to pay ₹11,12,500 to ₹13,62,500, the two Bengaluru prices read here. Buying from one of the five retailers on Zenith’s India list keeps the certificate and the service route in one place. Zenith’s paperwork for India is better than its lack of an Indian website suggests. It names its movements on the product page, publishes a two-year guarantee that becomes five with registration, and lists six Indian addresses, including a Mumbai service centre, on its own locator. A buyer who pays ₹13,62,500 for a Chronomaster Sport through Aetas Retail, whose Bengaluru store is on the list, can check the reference, the certificate and the service address against Zenith’s own pages.
The gaps are about money and reach. LVMH publishes no Zenith revenue, Zenith’s Swiss pages showed no price, and the Indian tag reads “Tax included” rather than MRP, so the only like-for-like comparison runs through a dealer on each side. Outside five cities, the locator offers nothing, and the grand claims on awards and patents are the owner’s figures alone.
