Da Milano is a leather-goods brand sold in India by Da Milano Leathers Private Limited, a Delhi company incorporated on 21 May 2006. It sells handbags, wallets, belts and backpacks through its own stores, its own website and marketplaces including Myntra.
The brand’s About page speaks of “a love for Italian design, craftsmanship and detail”, and its Instagram handle is “damilanoitalia”. On 22 September 2026, all 40 Myntra listings read declared India as the country of origin, and each named an Indian manufacturer other than the brand’s own company.
Da Milano is an Indian brand, run by a Delhi private company, Da Milano Leathers Private Limited. Every declaration read, on its own site and on Myntra, says made in India, and the makers named are outside companies in Gurgaon, Kolkata and Noida. On Myntra it sold at 72.7% of MRP, and its “Lifetime Service Warranty” covers manufacturing defects only.

Who owns Da Milano
The company behind the brand is Da Milano Leathers Private Limited. Its corporate identity number reads as a home-grown business should: U for unlisted, 19115 for the tanning and dressing of leather, DL for Delhi, 2006 for the year, and PTC for an ordinary private company rather than the FTC a foreign subsidiary carries. The register mirror ZaubaCorp gives its status as active and its paid-up capital as ₹1 crore.
The website’s own terms say “Da Milano Leathers Pvt. Ltd” owns and operates damilano.com, that Indian law governs it, and that disputes go to “the competent courts of Delhi, India.” The privacy policy and the consumer-care line on every product page read give the same Kapashera address as the register. No licensee, distributor or joint venture is named anywhere read; the company sells the brand itself.
Three directors are on the record: Sahil Malik as managing director, and Surinder Malik and Salil Malik as whole-time directors. The two mirrors read give different appointment dates, so none is printed here. The Company Check, a second mirror, counted 364 employees as of 8 April 2024.
Who holds the shares is not on any page read. The register mirrors do not publish the shareholding pattern free of charge, and no annual return was read. No corporate parent, listed holding company or outside investor appears in any record read. We tag Da Milano Independent on that basis, which is a statement about the absence of a named parent, not about how the shares are split.
According to the QuickCompany mirror, application 3636776 for the word mark “Da Milano” in class 18, which covers leather bags and bags of imitation leather, is registered in the name of Surinder Malik, one of the company’s directors. It was filed on 16 September 2017 and is valid to 16 September 2027.
Founded in 1989, incorporated in 2006
The brand dates itself to 1989. Its About page opens: “Founded in 1989 with an innate sense of grandeur, Da Milano has witnessed immense affinity for its genuine leather products from Dubai, Bahrain, Nepal, and India.” The trade-mark application claims use since 1 November 1989, which is the applicant’s own statement rather than proof of trading. Business Standard reported in October 2024 that the brand “was established in 1989 by Surinder Malik”.
The operating company is younger, incorporated on 21 May 2006. The records read do not set out how the 1989 business relates to the 2006 company.

The money
Da Milano is a private company and publishes no annual report. The figures on record come from two kinds of source, and the table labels each one.
| Year to 31 March | Revenue | Profit | Where the figure comes from |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | ₹233 crore | ₹39.4 crore | Business Standard, 31 October 2024; the article does not say where the figures came from |
| 2024 | ₹247.54 crore | Not shown | The Company Check, a register mirror |
| 2025 | Not found | Not found | The same mirror shows no statement filed after 31 March 2024 |
Business press and a register mirror; we have not read the filings themselves.
The two figures come from different kinds of document, a newspaper report and a register mirror, so neither is used to derive the other. The mirrors also disagree on the latest accounts: ZaubaCorp shows a last balance sheet for 31 March 2023, The Company Check a last statement for 31 March 2024.
The same Business Standard report counted “79 exclusive stores, including 18 airport outlets” in October 2024. No store count from the company itself was read, so treat that as a dated press figure.
Italian design on the page, India on the box
This is the point on which the brand’s words and its declarations are worth reading side by side. Da Milano’s About page describes the brand, in its own wording, as made “with a love for Italian design, craftsmanship and detail”, and speaks of “the House of great craftsmanship and genuine leather”. Its contact page links to instagram.com/damilanoitalia and facebook.com/DaMilanoItalia.
The About page does not say the bags are made in Italy, and none of the four product pages read on 22 September 2026 carries a sentence mentioning Italy, Italian or Milan. In 2016, Entrepreneur India reported that the company “started working with Italian designers on freelance basis, before setting up its own studio”; the report does not say where that studio is.
The declarations are specific. Each of the four own-site product pages read gives “Country of Origin: India” and names a manufacturer.
| Product on damilano.com | Material line | Origin | Manufacturer named |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rococo Bucket Bag (M) | “Saffiano Leather” | India | The Craftmode, Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon |
| Online Exclusive Top Handle Bag (S) – Marshmallow | “Saffiano Leather” | India | Lumens India, 24 Parganas, Kolkata |
| Classic Backpack (S) | “Pebble Leather” | India | S.P. Creation, Kolkata |
| 10 Slots Card Case – Black | “Embossed Leather” | India | S.P. Creation, Kolkata |
damilano.com product pages, read 22 September 2026.
The Myntra records say the same thing at a larger scale. We read 40 Da Milano product records on 22 September 2026 — the block the Legal Metrology rules require, naming the country of origin and the company answerable for the goods. India was the country of origin on all 40.
| Manufacturer named on the Myntra declaration | Listings of 40 |
|---|---|
| The Craftmode, Udyog Vihar Phase 1 | 20 |
| S.P. Creation, Udayan Industrial Estate | 11 |
| Blue Star Advertisers, Sector 7 Noida | 8 |
| Lumens India | 1 |
Myntra product records for Da Milano, read 22 September 2026.
No Da Milano company appears on the manufacturer line of any of the 40. That makes it the one brand among the Indian bag labels read that day whose declarations name only outside makers. A declaration names the company legally answerable for the goods, which need not be the workshop that cut the leather, and no document read says whether any of these makers is owned by the company.
There is an older account of where the bags are made. Business Standard reported in October 2024 that “two manufacturing facilities are located in Himachal Pradesh”. The 2026 declarations name makers in Gurgaon, Noida and around Kolkata. Both can be true at once, and neither source says all production sits in one place. A bag made in India pays no import duty, so duty plays no part in a Da Milano price.
Turn the tag over
The country of origin and the manufacturer are printed on the product as well as the listing. On every record read they said India and named one of four companies.
Look at who is selling
On Myntra the seller of record was named “Da Milano” on 39 of 40 listings read. Check the seller line before paying.
Who is selling Da Milano on Myntra
On the same 40 records, two seller names appeared on the buy button.
| Seller of record | Listings of 40 | What is on the record |
|---|---|---|
| Da Milano | 39 | The brand’s name, as the marketplace shows it |
| Flashtech Retail | 1 | A marketplace seller |

What Da Milano costs in India
Da Milano has no foreign own-site price to set against the Indian one; its About page names Dubai, Bahrain and Nepal as markets, but no price from them was read. The useful comparison is between the MRP on its own site and what it charges.
| Product on damilano.com | MRP | Price charged |
|---|---|---|
| Rococo Bucket Bag (M) | ₹24,999 | ₹24,999 |
| Classic Backpack (S) | ₹16,999 | ₹16,999 |
| Online Exclusive Top Handle Bag (S) – Marshmallow | ₹12,999 | ₹9,099, shown as 30% off |
| 10 Slots Card Case – Black | ₹3,999 | ₹3,999 |
damilano.com product pages, read 22 September 2026. Every page gives the MRP as “inclusive of all taxes”.
Three of the four sold at full MRP on the brand’s own site, and the one reduction was on an item labelled online-exclusive. The three bags read cost between ₹9,099 and ₹24,999.
We sounded 100 distinct Da Milano listings on Myntra on 22 September 2026, from a brand listing of 1,597 products. The median MRP was ₹3,849 and the median price paid ₹2,799, which is 72.7% of MRP. Eighty-eight of the hundred were reduced, across 20 distinct MRPs.
The Myntra shelf is mostly small leather goods: wallets made up 48 of the 100 listings, belts 29 and handbags 12. That is why the median sits far below the bag prices on the brand’s own site. Hidesign, read the same day on the same marketplace, sold at 49.7% of MRP.
The price band here is Mid-range, computed from the ₹2,799 median paid on that Myntra shelf, which is Da Milano’s core range as the marketplace carries it — wallets and belts first. A buyer shopping for a handbag should expect the higher figures: the three bags read on the brand’s own site fall in the Premium band.
Genuine leather, and what the pages say about it
Da Milano’s claims are about leather rather than numbers. We read the About page, the terms and four product pages on 22 September 2026 and set each claim against what is named beside it.
| Claim | Where | Standard, tannage or certifier named |
|---|---|---|
| “genuine leather” | About page | None |
| “Saffiano Leather”, “Pebble Leather”, “Embossed Leather” | Product material lines | None |
| “the authentic shine of natural leather” | Card case care text | None |
| Tannage | Not stated on any current page read | No tannery rating or certifier named |
| Vegan or synthetic lines | No such claim on the pages read | — |
damilano.com About page, terms and product pages, read 22 September 2026.
The material lines name finishes — saffiano, a cross-hatched pressed surface; pebble, a grained one; embossed, a pattern pressed in — and say the product is leather. None of the pages read says how the leather was tanned or names a tannery rating such as the Leather Working Group’s. The Rococo bag’s description adds “richly patterned suede” beneath a leather cut-out, so it is not one material throughout.
The lifetime warranty, and what it covers
The product pages read carry a “Lifetime Service Warranty” among their features. The published terms define it narrowly: “The lifetime service warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not cover any damage caused by water, salt, heat, oil, makeup, pen marks and dry abrasive products.”
The same terms exclude overloading, fading from direct light and discolouration from heat and moisture. They say suede, nubuck and light-coloured leather “cannot be cleaned or re-polished to its original shade”, that work outside the warranty carries “nominal charges”, and that “Merchandise repaired by an external repair service will not be accepted for any repair/exchange.” No end date is given for making a claim.
In short, the lifetime promise in the terms is a service promise for manufacturing defects, with listed exclusions and charged work beyond it. Separately, the terms of service say exchange requests “made within 48 hrs for wrong/defective products” are handled, and the Rococo page allows returns within seven days if the item is unused with tags intact.
Readers comparing bag makers’ promises can read the warranty wording in our audits of Safari, Skybags and VIP Industries beside this one. The useful question for each is the same: what the product page promises, and what the policy says that promise covers.
Buying a genuine Da Milano
The terms, privacy policy, contact page and four product pages read on 22 September 2026 offer no way to check a specific item — no code, hologram, QR or verification page — and no list of authorised sellers was found on them. FashionNetwork reported in November 2024 that the brand sells on Nykaa, Tata CLiQ, Myntra and Amazon India.
The practical safeguard is the seller line and the declaration. On Myntra the seller shown as Da Milano sold 39 of the 40 listings read, and every one named an Indian maker and gave India as the origin. A listing that names a different country, or no manufacturer at all, is worth a question before paying.
Who Da Milano is actually for
Da Milano suits a buyer who wants a leather wallet, belt or bag made in India, sold by the company that runs the brand, with repairs for manufacturing faults promised for life. On its own site it mostly charged full MRP on the day read; on Myntra the median item sold at 72.7% of MRP.
It suits less well a buyer paying for Italy. The Italian wording is about design; every declaration read says India, and names makers in Gurgaon, Noida and around Kolkata.

What is good about Da Milano is how plainly its paperwork reads. The Delhi company that runs the brand is named on the site’s terms, a seller named Da Milano sold 39 of 40 Myntra listings read, and every declaration read gave India and a named maker. On its own site three of four items sold at full MRP, so the printed price is the price.
Two phrases are worth reading closely. The About page’s “a love for Italian design” is a claim about design, not manufacture; every declaration read gives India. And the “Lifetime Service Warranty” covers manufacturing defects, with water, heat, makeup and pen-mark damage excluded and charged work beyond it.
A made-in-India leather brand with its makers on the label — good value if you want Indian-made leather at a clearly printed price, less so if Italian manufacture is what you are paying for.
