Neeman’s is a Hyderabad footwear brand run by its own Indian company, Neemans Private Limited, incorporated in April 2018. It sells wool and knit sneakers online and in its own stores, and it has raised money in four reported rounds from venture investors and private backers.
The brand’s website says it makes shoes “with globally certified partners” and names none of them. The declarations on Myntra do name them: on 21 September 2026, 40 of 40 Neeman’s listings read declared India as the country of origin, and the manufacturer line named ten different companies.
Neeman’s is an Indian brand, sold by its own Indian company, and every listing read on Myntra declared its shoes made in India. No stake figures published since the 2025 round show who holds control. On Myntra it sold at 64.7% of MRP, and its wool claims carry no published percentage or certifier.

Who owns Neeman’s
The company behind the brand is Neemans Private Limited, an unlisted private company registered in Telangana. Its corporate identity number reads the way it should for a home-grown business: U for unlisted, TG for Telangana, 2018 for the year, and PTC for an ordinary private company rather than the FTC a foreign subsidiary carries. The register mirrors Zauba Corp and Tofler both give the incorporation date as 3 April 2018 and the status as active.
The brand dates itself a year earlier. The neemans.com footer says “Founded: 2017”, as did funding reports in 2020, while other reports say 2018. The brand may predate the company, but no document read says so. The site’s terms and privacy policy name the company as owner of the brand and of the domain, at the same Somajiguda address the register carries.
The founders are Taranjeet Singh Chhabra, who uses the name Taran and is chief executive, and Amar Preet Singh, described as chief operating officer in September 2026. The register mirror lists both as directors from the day of incorporation, alongside two later directors, Tushar Singh (appointed 13 February 2020) and Nikhil Kishorchandra Vora (appointed 29 July 2021).
Who controls the company today is a harder question. The last full set of stakes was published in June 2022, when Entrackr read the allotment filing for the Series B round. It gave Sixth Sense Ventures 42.94%, which made it the largest shareholder, with Taranjeet Singh Chhabra at 19.84% and Amar Preet Singh at 9.84%.
After the December 2025 round, Entrackr gave only four investors’ stakes: Grand Anicut 8.63%, Enam Investments 4.76%, Snam Solutions 3.64% and Sharrp Ventures 3.51%. It did not give the founders’ or Sixth Sense’s holdings after that round. No change of control, sale or merger appears in any source read.
No holding published since the 2025 round shows anyone past half. We tag Neeman’s Independent on that basis: no majority owner is established. That is not the same as saying the founders control it.
The money: revenue, losses and four rounds
The register mirrors carry accounts only to 31 March 2023, so the later years come from business press reports of filed accounts. The table says which report carries each year.
| Year to 31 March | Revenue from operations | Net loss | Where the figure comes from |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2021 | ₹6.98 crore | ₹3.32 crore | Entrackr, 2 June 2022 |
| 2022 | ₹47 crore | ₹25 crore | Entrackr, 29 January 2024, from filed accounts |
| 2023 | ₹69.05 crore | ₹33.98 crore | Entrackr, 29 January 2024, from filed accounts |
| 2024 | ₹76.94 crore | ₹29.23 crore | Entrackr, 29 December 2025 |
| 2025 | ₹105 crore | ₹23 crore | StartupPedia, 23 February 2026, from filed accounts |
| 2026 | “₹185 crore”, the company’s own figure | Not stated | Company statement in the press, September 2026; no accounts yet |
Business press reports, most of them read from accounts filed with the Registrar of Companies; we have not read the filings themselves.
Two figures need a word. Entrackr’s June 2022 report put the 2021-22 revenue at ₹50 crore, an estimate made before the accounts were filed; its later report from the filed accounts gives ₹47 crore, which is the number above. And the ₹185 crore for 2025-26 is what the company told reporters in September 2026. It is not a filed result, and no loss figure came with it. Earlier the company had given targets of about ₹180 crore for that year, ₹350 crore by March 2027 and ₹1,000 crore within three years — targets, not results.
The 2024-25 report breaks out the costs behind the ₹23 crore loss: total expenses of ₹130.7 crore, including ₹55.4 crore for purchase of stock, ₹28.63 crore for marketing and ₹12.9 crore for employee benefits. The loss has narrowed from ₹33.98 crore in 2022-23 to ₹23 crore in 2024-25, while revenue from operations rose from ₹69.05 crore to ₹105 crore.
- Mar 2020Pre-Series A, close to $1 million, led by Anicut Angel Fund
- Aug 2021Series A, $2.7 million, led by Sixth Sense Ventures
- Jun 2022Series B, ₹39.7 crore; Sixth Sense put in ₹24 crore
- Dec 2025Series B2, ₹35.5 crore, led by Snam Solutions
Four rounds, each reported separately. Published totals differ, so none is printed here.
YourStory and FashionNetwork, March 2020; India Entrepreneur, August 2021; Entrackr from the allotment filings, June 2022 and December 2025; Inc42 and Indian Retailer, January 2026.
The Series B2 round, according to Entrackr’s reading of the filing, issued 54,915 preference shares at ₹6,465 each. Snam Solutions put in ₹16 crore, Grand Anicut ₹7 crore and Sharrp Ventures ₹5 crore, with Enam Investments also named. Entrackr calculated the post-money valuation at about ₹439 crore. When Sixth Sense led the Series A in 2021, its Nikhil Vora told India Entrepreneur that Neeman’s was “positioned like Allbirds in the US”.
Who makes Neeman’s shoes
The brand’s own pages describe the maker only in general terms. The brand-impact page, read on 21 September 2026, says: “With globally certified partners, Neeman’s maintains uncompromising standards in footwear quality.” It names no partner and no certificate. The product pages call Neeman’s “a proud Made-in-India brand” and a “Made-in-India brand with all our operations in the country”.
The statutory declarations on Myntra fill in the names. We read 40 Neeman’s product records on 21 September 2026 — the block the Legal Metrology rules require, giving the country of origin and the company answerable for the goods. India was the country of origin on all 40. The manufacturer line named ten companies.
| Manufacturer named on the declaration | Listings of 40 |
|---|---|
| Viney Shoetech Pvt Ltd | 9 |
| Prince Overseas, Agra | 5 |
| Shoemac Exports, Agra | 5 |
| Sivi Fashion Pvt Ltd, Haryana | 4 |
| Shayan Exports | 3 |
| Neemans Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad | 3 |
| Kaps Overseas, Sikandra, Agra | 3 |
| Expo International, postcode 282007 | 3 |
| Purti International, postcode 282007 | 3 |
| Leefox Shoes Industries Pvt Ltd | 2 |
Myntra product records for Neeman’s, read 21 September 2026.
Agra is the place named most often. Three makers give an Agra address, on 13 of the 40 records, and two more give the postcode 282007. Neemans itself is named as manufacturer on three records, with a Hyderabad address.
Set the two sources side by side. The website speaks of “globally certified partners”. The declarations name ten companies, one of them Neeman’s own. A declaration names the company legally answerable for the goods, which need not be the factory that stitched them, and nothing read says which certificates, if any, these makers hold.
The website speaks of certified partners and names none. The box names ten companies and no certificate.
What the declarations do settle is the brand’s own India claim. “All our operations in the country” matches 40 of 40 listings declaring India. A pair made in India pays no import duty, so duty plays no part in what a Neeman’s shoe costs.
Read the manufacturer line
It is printed on the box as well as on the listing. On the 40 read, it named one of ten companies, with India as the origin every time.
Look at who is selling
On Myntra the seller of record was Neeman’s own company on 34 of 40 listings read. Buying from that seller means buying from the brand.
Who is selling Neeman’s on Myntra
On the same 40 records, two seller names appeared on the buy button.
| Seller of record | Listings of 40 | What is on the record |
|---|---|---|
| Neeman’s Private Limited | 34 | The brand’s own company |
| Supercom Net | 6 | A registered trade mark owned by Shreyash Retail Private Limited |
Myntra product records, read 21 September 2026; trade-mark details from a register mirror.
Counting every seller shown on each record, not only the buy button, Neeman’s appeared on all 40, Supercom Net on 17, and a third name form, “NEEMANS PRIVATE LIMITED – SJIT”, on four. The company’s name is spelt three ways across its site, the register and the marketplace; they are one company.
A company called Shreyash Retail Private Limited owns a registered trade mark reading “Supercom Net”, and the marketplace names “Supercom Net” as seller of record on 6 of 40 listings read on 21 September 2026; no document read links Shreyash Retail to the brand.
What Neeman’s costs in India
Neeman’s has no home market abroad, so there is no foreign price to set against the Indian one. The useful comparison is between the MRP printed on its own site and what it charges.
| Product on neemans.com | MRP | Selling price |
|---|---|---|
| Wool Classic Sneakers, Grey Quill (men’s) | ₹3,990 | ₹1,159, shown as 70% off |
| Wool Joggers, Midnight Blue (men’s) | ₹5,850 | ₹2,599, shown as 55% off |
| The CloudKnit Sneakers, Ivory | ₹2,999 | Two different figures shown the same day |
neemans.com product pages, read 21 September 2026. MRP is the site’s own “MRP (inclusive of all taxes)”.
On the brand’s own site, then, the two shoes with a single selling price sold at 29% and 44% of MRP. A coupon code took a little more off both wool shoes. The CloudKnit page showed two selling prices on the same day, so only its MRP is printed.
We sounded 100 distinct Neeman’s listings on Myntra on 21 September 2026, from a brand listing of 906 products. The median MRP was ₹3,699 and the median price paid ₹2,395, which is 64.7% of MRP. Ninety-eight of the hundred were reduced, across 23 distinct MRPs. Casual shoes made up 90 listings and flip-flops six.
Other Indian direct-to-consumer brands read the same day sat either side: Yoho sold at 57.6% of MRP and Solethreads at 73.8%. Columbia, read in the same session as a check, showed 2,433 listings, in line with earlier readings.
The price band here is Mid-range, computed from the ₹2,395 median actually paid on a Myntra shelf that is almost all casual shoes — the brand’s core line. With 98 of 100 listings reduced on Myntra and markdowns of 55% to 70% on its own site, the printed MRP is a poor guide to what a buyer pays.
Merino, bottles and tyres: what the claims rest on
Neeman’s sells itself on materials. We read its brand-impact page, its FAQ, three product pages and two blog posts on 21 September 2026, and set each claim against the numbers published beside it.
| Claim | Number published | Standard or certifier named |
|---|---|---|
| “Made using the finest Merino Wool”, Australian merino | No merino percentage on any page read | None — no ZQ, RWS or Woolmark mark on the pages read |
| Non-mulesed wool from Australian sheep (FAQ) | None | None |
| Recycled PET bottles | “3200000 +” bottles, company-wide; “100% recycled plastic yarn” for the ReLive Knit sneakers and slip-ons (blog, 16 May 2022) | None named |
| Recycled tyres | “51737 + Kgs”, company-wide | None |
| Insoles “made with recycled rubber and castor bean oil” | No percentage | None |
| Packaging | “85% recycled wastepaper”; “7489400 +” plastic bags avoided | None |
| Machine washable merino (blog, 7 February 2019) | None; the FAQ says to leave washed shoes to air dry | None |
neemans.com brand-impact page, FAQ, product pages and blog, read 21 September 2026.
The pages are not short of numbers. They count bottles, kilograms of tyres and a percentage of recycled packaging paper, so the missing merino percentage and the missing certifier are absences on pages that publish figures elsewhere. The recycled counts are company-wide totals; no page gives bottles per pair, and the 100% figure covers the yarn of two named lines, not the shoe.
A 2020 FashionNetwork report said the brand launched “in collaboration with The Woolmark Company”. None of the Neeman’s pages read on 21 September 2026 mentions Woolmark. The CloudKnit product page is plain about one limit: “Water-Resistant: No”. Across the pages read, “sustainable” and “eco-friendly” come with no lifecycle or carbon figure.
Authenticity and the record
The terms, privacy policy, FAQ, exchange policy and brand-impact page, read on 21 September 2026, give no way to check a specific pair — no code, hologram, QR or verification page. The FAQ names neemans.com, the Neeman’s app and the brand’s own stores as places to buy, and says nothing about marketplaces or counterfeits. Such lists do exist: Noise publishes one naming its authorised sellers by company, read the same day.
For a buyer, the practical safeguard is the seller line. On Myntra, Neeman’s own company was the seller of record on 34 of the 40 listings read.
The company is expanding its shops. In September 2026 it announced a plan for 500 stores, and Amar Preet Singh told bestmediainfo the expansion “gives us the opportunity to take the Neeman’s experience to consumers across the country”. The reports gave no current store count.
A search of Indian Kanoon on 21 September 2026 on the company’s exact name, and on the brand with “footwear”, showed no judgment involving Neemans Private Limited or the brand. The same site that day listed 297 results for a Bata India trade-mark search, so the search finds cases where they exist. Treat the clean result as nothing found rather than a promise that nothing exists.
Who Neeman’s is actually for
Neeman’s suits a buyer who wants a light knit or wool sneaker made in India and sold by the company that owns the brand. It suits less well a buyer paying extra for merino, because no page read says how much merino is in the shoe or who certifies it.
Anyone weighing it against Woodland, Campus or Bata is comparing an unlisted, loss-making company still raising money with longer-established Indian footwear names. On its own site and on Myntra, Neeman’s sells almost everything below its printed MRP, so the MRP tells you little.

What is good about Neeman’s is how answerable it is. The brand’s own Hyderabad company runs the site and was the seller on 34 of 40 Myntra listings read, and all 40 declared India with a named maker. Revenue from operations has grown from ₹6.98 crore to ₹105 crore in four years on reported figures, and on Myntra the median pair sold for ₹2,395.
The scepticism belongs with the materials story. “The finest Merino Wool” comes with no percentage and no certifier on any page read, and “globally certified partners” names neither partner nor certificate, while the declarations name ten makers. The company is still loss-making, at ₹23 crore in 2024-25, and its ₹185 crore for the year just ended is its own figure, not a filed one.
A genuinely Indian brand with its maker on the box — buy it for the shoe at the reduced price, not for a merino claim nobody has put a number on.
