Tory Burch Brand Audit: No Indian Site, Three Stores, and 40 of 40 Myntra Records Sold by One Delhi Company

Who owns Tory Burch and what the April 2026 General Atlantic buy-out announcement covers, how the brand reaches India through Reliance Brands and its own American checkout, who sells and imports it on Myntra, what it costs here, where the bags are made and what the one-year warranty covers.

Tory Burch is an American accessories house, best known for the Robinson, Kira and Eleanor handbags and the Miller sandal. It is held privately through Tory Burch LLC, which has no listed parent, no ticker and no exchange filing, so no audited revenue figure exists.

In India it runs three shops through Reliance Brands Limited, ships direct from its American website, and appears on marketplaces it does not operate. There is no toryburch.in and no grievance officer named anywhere.

The short answer

Tory Burch is a private American company with no published accounts, part-owned by investors whose stakes have never been disclosed. It reaches India three ways at once: three Reliance-run stores, direct shipping from toryburch.com, and marketplace listings sold by a Delhi company. All 40 Myntra records read on 23 September 2026 named one seller and one importer, and the median listing sold at ₹57,140, 77.7% of MRP.

Who owns Tory Burch, and what the owner publishes

Tory Burch LLC files no accounts, so no filing names the brand’s revenue. The outside money arrived once, and was described as a minority. General Atlantic’s press release of 3 January 2013 is headed “BDT Capital Partners, LLC and General Atlantic Make Minority Investment in Tory Burch LLC”, and records co-founder Christopher Burch as remaining “a significant investor”. No percentage was disclosed then, and none has been published since. General Atlantic’s own material carries two dates for it: its portfolio page gives the year as 2012, its press release is dated 3 January 2013. We print both rather than choose.

In April 2026 the house moved to buy that stake back, and the financing is on the record even if the outcome is not. WWD reported on 15 April a $700 million term loan, with $127 million of incremental funding, raised to refinance the existing facility and partly fund the repurchase, and S&P’s estimate of the stake at $346 million. Private Equity Wire reported the same week that the seven-year loan was priced at 375 to 400 basis points over the benchmark, alongside a $300 million revolver arranged by Bank of America.

The agencies split on it. S&P affirmed a ‘BB-‘ rating, stable outlook, projecting “pro forma leverage will rise to 3.4-times and quickly decline below 3-times in fiscal 2027”; Moody’s went to a negative outlook, citing “higher leverage and reduced liquidity following the transaction”.

Worth knowing

The buy-out was announced and financed in April 2026. No completion statement from any party was published by 23 September 2026, and General Atlantic’s portfolio page carried Tory Burch with no exit note that day. Read it as a deal announced, not a deal done.

The numbers that exist are second-hand. Forbes estimated the brand sold $1.8 billion worth of clothing, shoes, accessories and fragrances in 2024. S&P, as reported by WWD, put fiscal 2025 revenue down about 3.5% year on year, or 1.5% adjusted for a 53-week period, and projected 3.1% growth for fiscal 2026. The company’s own year-end, its revenue in dollars and any profit figure are not on the public record.

How Tory Burch reaches India

There is no Indian Tory Burch company. A mirror of the Indian companies register, searched on 23 September 2026, showed nothing under “Tory Burch”, “Toryburch” or “River Light”, while returning full records for Reliance Brands Limited and two Delhi companies the same day. Read that as nothing found on a mirror, not proof of non-existence.

The operator is Reliance Brands Limited, CIN U51900MH2007PLC174470, incorporated 25 September 2007, an active unlisted public company with paid-up capital of ₹21,303,845,200. Two Reliance Industries media releases, of 31 January and 30 June 2022, list Tory Burch in its brand portfolio alongside Coach, Kate Spade New York, Michael Kors and Burberry. Neither says what kind of arrangement it is. Trade reports have called it both a partnership and a licence acquisition; no company document read says which, so this audit names no arrangement type.

Tory Burch in India, 2021 to 2026
  • April 2021First store, DLF Emporio, New Delhi, with Reliance Brands
  • 2022Two Reliance releases list the brand in RBL’s portfolio
  • April 2024Jio World Plaza, Mumbai, takes the count to two
  • Sept 2026Three locator entries; no Indian website of the house’s own

Only the Delhi store publishes detail: first floor, telephone +91 11 4502 4241, open 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. For the other two the locator prints no address, telephone or hours, and the Bengaluru entry carries no opening announcement behind it, so this audit gives it no date.

There is no Indian website: no toryburch.in, no India page, no India terms of use, no India privacy policy and no grievance officer named anywhere, searched on 23 September 2026. The policy that governs is the American one, though regional sites exist for other markets, including the Middle East and Indonesia. Set that against Indian bag brands such as VIP Industries or Safari, whose Indian company, MRP and grievance officer are all printed on their own sites.

Three shops, no Indian website, no rupee price of the house’s own — and 202 listings on one marketplace.

What the house does run here is its own American checkout. Its international shipping page says: “We ship to 12 countries and territories from our U.S. website… Delivery is through our partner Global-e.” India is one of the twelve. Duties, it says, are calculated on the items, destination and value, may appear as a separate line at checkout, and in some countries must “be paid upon delivery”.

Who sells the bags on the Indian shelf

Myntra’s “Tory Burch” facet held 202 products on 23 September 2026, 131 of them handbags. Of 40 records read that day, every one named the same seller of record and the same importer.

Declaration line What 40 Tory Burch records said, 23 September 2026
Seller of record Darveys Global Store Private Limited, 40 of 40
Importer NR Wardrobe Fuss Private Limited, Okhla Industrial Area Phase 2, Delhi, 40 of 40
Country of origin Italy 18, Vietnam 9, Cambodia 9, China 4

Both are small Delhi companies. Darveys Global Store Private Limited carries CIN U52609DL2018PTC331151, incorporated 19 March 2018 at 32 Ishwar Nagar, Mathura Road, New Delhi, with authorised and paid-up capital of ₹1,00,000 and a last balance sheet dated 31 March 2023. NR Wardrobe Fuss Private Limited carries CIN U51101DL2013PTC259910, incorporated 5 November 2013 at Okhla Industrial Area Phase 2, with the same ₹1,00,000 of capital and the same balance-sheet date. The register lists the same two directors for both.

That is the register speaking, and it is the whole of what this audit says about either company. No document read names an authorised arrangement between them and Tory Burch, and the house publishes no list of authorised Indian sellers at all. The same seller’s name appears on the Tata CLiQ Luxury listing read that day.

The other channel is AJIO Luxe, the Reliance Retail platform in the same group as the stores’ operator. Its Tory Burch store held 764 items on 23 September 2026, 204 of them handbags, and its pages print “Price inclusive of all taxes” — but no country of origin, importer or “marketed by” block was shown.

What Tory Burch costs in India

The Myntra shelf is discounted more often than not. Across a sounding of 100 listings on 23 September 2026 the median MRP was ₹73,500 and the median price paid ₹57,140 — 77.7% of MRP — with 87 of the 100 reduced. A Leather Sling listed at ₹76,000 sold at ₹64,690. Handbags were 62 of that sample and earrings nine.

Bag, as listed Code Price, 23 September 2026 Tax basis printed
Charlie Shoulder Bag, toryburch.com (US) 180726 $495, shown at its original price No tax statement on the page
Robinson Convertible Shoulder Bag, toryburch.com (US) 54654 $229, from an original $398 No tax statement on the page
T Monogram Robinson Medium Convertible Shoulder Bag, AJIO Luxe 410405465001 MRP ₹49,500; ₹48,500 with a code; out of stock “Price inclusive of all taxes”
Kira Chain Medium Shoulder Bag, AJIO Luxe 410316547002 MRP ₹57,500; ₹56,500 with a code; out of stock “Price inclusive of all taxes”
Brown Robinson Shoulder Bag, Tata CLiQ Luxury MP000000028647617 MRP ₹64,000; ₹49,490 “inclusive of all taxes”

Prices are printed raw, with no conversion and no computed gap. These are different articles, not one bag in two markets: the closest pairing is Robinson to Robinson, and even there the American 54654 is textured leather while the AJIO T Monogram Robinson is “56% cotton, 44% polyester”.

On the tax side, IGST — the integrated goods and services tax charged on imports — runs at 18% on heading 4202, which covers handbags, under Notification No. 9/2025-Integrated Tax (Rate) of 17 September 2025. The Budget annexure cut the duty on goods imported for personal use to 10% from 1 April 2026. Whether a courier order from toryburch.com is assessed under that personal-import heading is not established here, and the brand’s page puts the charge on the buyer either way.

On actual Indian selling prices — the AJIO Luxe T Monogram Robinson at an MRP of ₹49,500 inclusive of taxes, with listings on that platform running to ₹72,500 — Tory Burch sits in our Luxury band for bags, above ₹40,000, and the Myntra median of ₹57,140 puts it in the same place. That is a different order of price from Indian bag brands such as Wildcraft.

Where the bags are made

Nowhere in the brand’s own material. Its partners page says: “We invest in long-term partnerships, with many suppliers having grown alongside our brand over the past 20 years… All suppliers are required to comply with our Vendor Code of Conduct, and we conduct independent, third-party audits with key suppliers.” It names no country, gives no number of contract manufacturers, and neither claims nor rules out owning a factory.

The product pages say nothing either. The three American pages read on 23 September 2026 — styles 180726, 169226 and 54654 — carry no “Made in” line and no “Imported” line, only material and dimensions. The AJIO Luxe pages read that day carry no country-of-origin line. So neither side of the transaction tells an Indian buyer where the bag came from.

The Myntra declarations are the one place a country is printed: of 40 records read, 18 declared Italy, nine Vietnam, nine Cambodia and four China. That is the importer’s statement about those 40 goods on that day, and the only origin evidence in this audit.

On materials, the house does put one number on the record. Its impact pages claim “over 95% of our leather is from Leather Working Group certified tanneries that have achieved the highest silver and gold medal rating” — the Leather Working Group being an industry body that audits tanneries and rates them bronze, silver or gold. No tannery is named, and no audit or date is published behind the 95%. Its packaging claims — “a minimum of 70% recycled paper”, dustbags “100% recycled” — name no certifier, and are about packaging, not the bag.

Checking a bag is the real thing

Tory Burch publishes no way to check one: no serial-number lookup, no code, no hologram, no QR check, no chip and no verification page, searched on 23 September 2026. The same searching did reach the brand’s own anti-counterfeit material, so this is an absence in what the house publishes.

What it publishes instead is a counterfeit FAQ, carried on its Middle East site. Two sentences in it matter here: “Authentic Tory Burch products are available only in our Tory Burch stores, Tory Burch outlet stores and at toryburch.com”, and “Tory Burch does not have an online outlet website.” The page warns about sites that create the impression of being associated with the brand, refers to “select authorized department stores and specialty stores” without naming any, and states that the house “does not authenticate merchandise that is purchased from an auction site”.

Two consequences follow. A buyer with a doubtful bag has no route to a verdict from the brand, and because no list of authorised Indian sellers is published, nobody can check with the house whether a given seller is one. So the checks are the ordinary ones: read the importer and origin lines on the listing, match the article code against toryburch.com or the store, and keep the invoice.

The warranty, and where it applies

The term is one year. The product warranty page says: “If you become aware of any manufacturing defect in your product (this does not include normal wear and tear) within one year from purchase, please reach out to our Tory Burch team for assistance.” It routes the buyer three ways — online purchases to American client services, store and outlet purchases back to that store, and “For purchases made at one of our authorized retailers, please contact the specific location where you purchased the item.”

No Indian service point is named. Watches and eyewear go through separate contacts whose terms the page does not state. Nothing read says the warranty is international or that it is honoured in India, so this audit does not say it either.

The record in India

The Indian courts database, searched on 23 September 2026, showed one result for “Tory Burch” and one unrelated 1969 matter for “River Light”. Searched the same day for “Christian Louboutin” it showed 132, the first page of them decided Delhi High Court judgments. The search reaches luxury houses, so the near-absence here is a finding rather than a failure.

The one matter read is Cartier International AG & Others v Gaurav Bhatia & Ors, Delhi High Court, 4 January 2016. Tory Burch was not a plaintiff and not a party. The plaintiffs were Cartier International AG, Officine Panerai AG and Richemont International S.A., and the court decided the suit ex parte — the defendants filed no written statements and did not cross-examine — granting permanent injunctions against counterfeit goods and passing off, declaring three watch marks well-known, and awarding ₹1 crore in punitive damages. Tory Burch appears once, in the court’s description of the defendants’ website: counterfeit products were offered there “under various other luxury brands including Montblanc, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Hermes, Chanel, D&G, Prada, Givenchy, Dior, Bvlgari, Tory Burch, Fendi, Bottega Veneta, etc.”

Read that for exactly what it is. An ex parte decree means the other side did not appear, not that the case was tested on both sides. It was decided on that suit as it then stood, against those defendants, and decided nothing about anyone selling today. Nobody has ruled on any Indian listing or seller named in this audit, and nothing here is a finding against any of them.

One check stayed open. The Indian trade-mark register’s public search now requires a one-time-password sign-in, so it was not readable in this pass, and this audit says nothing about who holds the Tory Burch mark in India.

Common questions

Is Tory Burch sold officially in India?

Yes, through three stores run by Reliance Brands Limited, and by direct shipping from toryburch.com, which names India among twelve countries it ships to. There is no Indian website, no Indian company of the brand’s own and no grievance officer named.

Who sells Tory Burch on Myntra?

All 40 records read on 23 September 2026 named Darveys Global Store Private Limited as seller of record and NR Wardrobe Fuss Private Limited as importer. Both are Delhi companies with ₹1,00,000 of paid-up capital, and the register lists the same two directors for both.

Did Tory Burch buy out General Atlantic?

A buy-out was announced in April 2026 and financed with a $700 million term loan, with S&P estimating the stake at $346 million. No completion statement had been published by 23 September 2026, and General Atlantic’s portfolio page carried the brand with no exit note on that date.

Where are Tory Burch bags made?

The brand names no country. Its product pages carry no “Made in” line, and its partners page names no country or factory. The only origin evidence read is the Indian marketplace declarations: Italy 18, Vietnam 9, Cambodia 9 and China 4 across 40 records.

Can Tory Burch tell me whether my bag is real?

No. It publishes no serial lookup, code or verification page, and its counterfeit FAQ says the house “does not authenticate merchandise that is purchased from an auction site”. It also publishes no list of authorised Indian sellers.

The FA take

What is good here is the shop. Tory Burch has three stores run by a serious Indian operator, it ships here from its own site as one of only twelve countries it serves that way, and its AJIO Luxe listings print MRP inclusive of all taxes. If you want the brand’s own accountability, one of those three counters is where you get it, and the one-year warranty is easiest to use on a bag bought there.

The scepticism belongs to what the house does not publish. No accounts, no percentage for any shareholder, no country of manufacture on any product page in either market, no serial or code to check a bag against, and no list of authorised Indian sellers — so a buyer weighing a ₹49,500 AJIO MRP against a ₹57,140 marketplace median has no route back to the brand for a verdict.

A Luxury-band bag with a store you can walk into and paperwork you cannot read: buy it at the counter, keep the invoice, and expect no verdict from the house on anything bought elsewhere.
