Hitz is a men’s footwear brand from Agra, sold on its own website, hitz.co.in, and through marketplaces. The business behind it is Popsons International, and that name is not on the companies register, because Popsons is a partnership firm, not a company.
So the owner is identified here from two other records: the trade-mark register, where Popsons holds the HITZ mark, and the global Legal Entity Identifier file. On 22 September 2026, all 40 Hitz listings read on Myntra declared India as the country of origin and named Popsons as the seller.
Hitz is an Indian brand owned by Popsons International, an Agra partnership firm that holds the HITZ trade mark and sold every Myntra listing read. Every declaration read says made in India. As a partnership firm it files no company accounts, and on Myntra Hitz sold at a median 57.8% of MRP, with all 100 listings read reduced.

Which Hitz this is
“Hitz” is a crowded name. A trade-mark register mirror lists 837 marks containing it, including a newspaper group, a Mumbai radio station, a television channel and two engineering firms. The companies register carries 390 “Hitz” records, the first page of them radio, music, cinema and software businesses. None of these makes shoes.
The footwear brand is the one sold at hitz.co.in as “Hitz Shoes Online”. The site’s terms of service and contact page name the operator as Popsons International, Kailash Vihar, Bye Pass Road, Agra. Everything below is about that business and no other.
Who owns Hitz
The HITZ mark belongs to Popsons International. The register mirror shows application 1032027 in class 25, for footwear, filed on 30 July 2001, registered, and renewed to 30 July 2031, with the proprietor’s address given as 10, Kailash Vihar, Agra. No registered user is recorded, and no other HITZ mark in the firm’s name appears in the footwear class.
The second record is the firm’s Legal Entity Identifier, a global reference number for businesses that trade across borders. Its entry gives the legal name as Popsons International and the legal form as an Indian partnership firm. It was issued against the firm’s Importer-Exporter Code, the number the trade directorate gives exporters. As at 22 September 2026, the record showed the firm as active and the identifier as lapsed, with renewal due on 22 January 2021.
That the owner is a firm explains a gap. A search of the companies register for “Popsons” lists 226 records, and none is Popsons International, as expected for a partnership firm.

The site and the firm’s own application give different start years. Both are printed; neither is chosen.

The family and the founding story
The founding story comes from secondary sources, not filings. CD Exports, a related business, says on its own site that a shoe trader founded Popsons International in the 1990s and launched Hitz as his own men’s brand.
The trade magazine Shoes & Accessories, in an undated article, dates the brand’s “humble beginnings” to 1998.
No partnership deed or registrar-of-firms entry is published, so this page names no one as a partner. We tag Hitz Independent because every record read names Popsons, and no listed group, retailer or investor appears.
The money
There are no revenue or profit figures to print. A partnership firm files no accounts with the Registrar of Companies, and no register mirror, business-press report or company statement found gives a turnover. No funding round or investor appears anywhere.
The only scale figures come from the same undated trade article, which the brand did not publish itself. It says that “by 2010, the brand hit another major milestone with the opening of its manufacturing unit in Sikandra”, which “boosted its production capacity to 2,000 pairs per day”. It also puts Hitz in “over 500 outlets across India”. Treat both as a magazine’s account.
Who makes Hitz shoes
Hitz says it makes its own. The product pages on hitz.co.in read “Manufacturer By: Popsons International 10-11, Kailash Vihar, Bye Pass Road” and “Packed & Mktd by: Popsons International”. The page for model 5110 adds “Country Of Origin: India”. No outside factory is named.
The marketplace declarations agree. On 22 September 2026 we read 40 Hitz product records on Myntra — the block the Legal Metrology rules require, naming the country of origin and the company answerable for the goods.
| Field on the declaration | What 40 records said |
|---|---|
| Country of origin | India on 40 |
| Manufacturer | Popsons International, Kailash Vihar, on 34; a second address, given as Block S/18, on 6 |
| Seller of record | Popsons International on 40 |
Myntra product records for Hitz, read 22 September 2026.
An older, dated document points the same way. A 2015 tribunal order in an excise case involving another business records a trader’s 2008 statement that it bought Hitz shoes from Popsons International, Agra, “who were the manufacturers”.
The About Us page says: “Traditional German craftsmanship meets highly advanced manufacturing technology”, and speaks of “international styles”. It gives an Agra address, the product pages read name an Agra manufacturer, and all 40 declarations read say India.
All 40 Myntra declarations read gave India as the country of origin and Popsons International as the seller.
A shoe made in India pays no import duty, so duty plays no part in what a Hitz pair costs.
What Hitz costs in India
Hitz’s own shop sells only in India, so there is no foreign price to compare. The useful comparison is between its own shop and the marketplace.
| Model on hitz.co.in | Selling price | Crossed-out price shown |
|---|---|---|
| 836, black leather formal slip-on | ₹2,795 | ₹2,795, no reduction |
| 5110, black leather ankle boot with zip | ₹2,750 | ₹5,195 |
| 5611, black formal slip-on (sizes shown unavailable) | ₹2,621 | ₹4,995 |
hitz.co.in product pages, read 22 September 2026, prices as displayed by the store.
On its own site, then, two of three formal shoes were shown at a little over half their crossed-out figure, and one at full price. The shop does not label that figure as the MRP.
The crossed-out figure on hitz.co.in is the shop’s own comparison price and is not labelled MRP. Check the MRP printed on the box when you compare prices.
We read 100 distinct Hitz listings on Myntra on 22 September 2026, from a brand listing of 407. The median MRP was ₹3,645 and the median paid ₹2,107, which is 57.8% of MRP. All 100 were reduced, across 26 distinct MRPs. Sandals made up 47 listings, casual shoes 35 and formal shoes 15.
Other Indian footwear brands read the same day sat either side. Alberto Torresi, also reduced on 100 of 100, sold at 54.7% of MRP; Monrow sold at 92.2% and Tresmode at 86.4%.
The price band is Mid-range, computed from the ₹2,107 median actually paid on a Myntra shelf that is entirely footwear. The own-site formal shoes, at ₹2,621 to ₹2,795, sit in the same band. The trade article mentions a “platinum collection” at “₹8,995 to ₹12,995”; no such price was read on the shop.
What the leather claims rest on
Hitz sells on leather. We read its About Us page, home page and three product pages on 22 September 2026 and set each claim against what is published beside it.
| Claim | Number published | Standard or certifier named |
|---|---|---|
| “Carefully selected and high quality leather” (About Us) | None | None |
| “Genuine Leather” upper and lining (model 836) | None | None; tannage not stated |
| “Assured Quality” badge (home page) | None | None |
| ISO 9001 and SA 8000 (trade article, not the brand’s site) | None | Standards named; certifying body not named |
hitz.co.in About Us, home page and product pages, read 22 September 2026; Shoes & Accessories, undated.
No page read says whether the leather is chrome or vegetable tanned, or names a leather certifier. None claims the shoes are waterproof.
One product page is worth reading closely. Model 5611 is titled “Black Leather Formal Slip-On Shoes”. Its specification line gives “Upper Material: Shrinkin” and “Sole Material: PU”, and unlike model 836 it does not say genuine leather. Read the material line as well as the title.
Authenticity, returns and the record
Hitz publishes no way to check a pair: no code, hologram, QR or verification page on hitz.co.in, and no list of authorised sellers or store locator in its menus. Such lists do exist; Liberty publishes a store locator naming its showrooms. The practical safeguard is the seller line, which named Popsons on all 40 Myntra listings read.
The shop’s return terms differ between pages. The refund policy says shoes may be exchanged “with in 10 days”, and requires the “UPC (Universal Product Code) or product code” to be intact. The model 5611 page says returns within “15 days of receiving the order”. Keep the box and the tag, and go by the shorter window.
On Indian Kanoon, searched on 22 September 2026, the decided matter that bears on Hitz is the 2015 order cited above.
That order is from the Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal. Popsons was not a party; the department’s appeals against another business were dismissed on 28 May 2015. No trade-mark, counterfeit or consumer-commission decision involving Hitz footwear appeared.
Who Hitz is actually for
Hitz suits a buyer who wants an Agra-made leather formal shoe or sandal, sold on Myntra by the firm that owns the brand, at around ₹2,100. It suits less well a buyer who wants a published leather standard, certifier or tannage, since no page read gives one.
Anyone weighing it against Red Chief, Bata or Metro Shoes is comparing a partnership firm, which files no company accounts, against companies whose accounts are public. With every Myntra listing read reduced, the printed MRP is a poor guide to what a buyer pays.
Common questions
Is Hitz an Indian brand?
Yes. It belongs to Popsons International, a partnership firm in Agra, and all 40 Myntra listings read on 22 September 2026 declared India as the country of origin.
Who owns Hitz?
Popsons International, which holds the HITZ trade mark and runs hitz.co.in. It is a partnership firm, so it has no CIN and no directors, and no published document we read names the partners.
When was Hitz launched?
The brand’s site says 1990. Its own trade-mark application claims use since 6 January 1998, and a trade magazine also dates it to 1998. The two start years are not reconciled.
Are Hitz shoes German-made?
No declaration read says so. The About Us page speaks of “Traditional German craftsmanship”, while the product pages name Popsons International in Agra as manufacturer, and all 40 Myntra declarations read say India.
What does Hitz cost in India?
On 100 Myntra listings read on 22 September 2026, the median MRP was ₹3,645 and the median paid ₹2,107. On hitz.co.in three formal shoes sold at ₹2,621 to ₹2,795.

What is good about Hitz is how short the chain is. One Agra firm holds the mark, runs the shop, is named as manufacturer on its own pages and on 34 of 40 Myntra declarations, and was the seller on all 40. Every declaration read says India, and the median pair on Myntra sold for ₹2,107.
Our reservations are about the detail behind the marketing words. “High quality leather” is published without a tannage, standard or certifier, and one slip-on titled as leather lists a “Shrinkin” upper in its specification. As a partnership firm Hitz files no company accounts, so there is no turnover to judge its scale by.
A traceable Agra-made brand at a fair reduced price — buy it on Myntra’s discount, and check the material line on each pair.
