Sangria is one of the largest clothing names on any Indian shopping site, and very few shoppers could name the company behind it. Myntra’s brand page counted 51,948 listings on 7 September 2026 — a reading minutes earlier the same day gave 51,972 — plus 881 under Sangria FUZN and 439 under Sangria X fwd.
Every packaged good sold in India carries a declaration naming who is answerable for it, and Myntra holds that block on each listing. On Sangria it does not give one answer. Across 400 listings read one at a time on 7 September 2026, 231 different companies are declared as the manufacturer and 156 are the seller of record — and Myntra Designs Private Limited is on none of them.
Sangria is a name over goods made and sold by a large number of unconnected small companies. On 400 listings read in full on 7 September 2026, 231 companies declare themselves answerable for the garment and 156 are the seller of record, with Myntra Designs Private Limited on neither list.
Myntra’s own records mark Sangria as one of its house labels, on 16,378 of 16,716 listings read that day — 98.0%. That is the platform’s classification of its own catalogue rather than a trade-mark record, and no register reading available that day names an owner for the mark, so this page names none.
Price: 16,716 listings, 97.4% reduced, an aggregate of 30.5% of MRP, median MRP ₹2,799 and median price charged ₹749, on 7 September 2026.

Who is answerable for a Sangria garment
Indian law requires a retail package to name the manufacturer with an address, or the manufacturer and the packer where they differ, along with the net quantity and the retail sale price. That block names who is legally answerable for the goods: not who sewed the garment, and not who owns the name. More than one entity may be named, so a spread of names is lawful.
The spread on Sangria is the widest this site has measured. Across 400 listings read one at a time on 7 September 2026, drawn evenly from all 57 categories, the manufacturer field holds 231 different companies and the seller of record 156. On 238 of the 400 the manufacturer name and a seller name are the same string once spacing and case are set aside, and on 319 they agree on their first ten characters, which catches one company written two ways. A smaller reading of 14 listings the day before matched every time; the 400-listing figure is the one printed here.
What there is not is a big supplier. The largest declared manufacturer, Aarsh Lifestyle Pvt Ltd of Surat, covers 15 of the 400 listings and the next four cover 10, 7, 7 and 7.
| Brand | Distinct declared manufacturers on Myntra listings read one at a time |
|---|---|
| Sangria | 231 across 400 |
| Anouk | 207 across 450 |
| Aurelia | 64 across 120 |
| W for Woman | 33 across 60 |
| Biba | 16 across 120 |
| Global Desi | 9 across 120 |
| Libas | 6 names |
| Soch | 4 across 208, one company on all 208 |
All read 6–7 September 2026 from the marketplace’s own listing records.
Eight of the ten women’s ethnic names read that week have one company behind every listing: Libas names Zivore Apparel as seller of record on 10,309 of 10,451 listings, Soch names Soch Apparels as manufacturer on 208 of 208. Sangria and Anouk are the two that do not, and neither page claims the finding for itself.
What the platform’s own records say about the name
Myntra’s listing records carry system attributes, one of which marks a brand as “House of Brands”. On Sangria it is on for 16,378 of 16,716 listings read on 7 September 2026 — 98.0%. Two checks read in the same session: Anouk 527 of 540 listings, Libas 0 of 540.
That is the platform’s classification of its own catalogue. It is not a trade-mark record and says nothing about who holds the name in law. It is worth printing because it separates cleanly in both directions on brands whose owners are established elsewhere from filings, and Sangria sits at the top of the first group.
One reading inside the same test has no explanation attached here. Sangria FUZN carries the mark on 60 of 60 listings read; Sangria X fwd on 0 of 60.
Who owns the name, and what that rests on
This is the thin part of the page, and it is thin because the record is. The public trade-mark register did not give up its file on the day of reading, so nothing here is reported as absent from it. Of the aggregator mirrors that copy the register, none readable on 7 September 2026 carried a record for the mark SANGRIA, and one of them offered a sales page inviting an application rather than a register readout, which is not cited here as one.
A second register points the same way without reaching this mark. US records list Myntra Designs Pvt Ltd as the owner of four clothing marks filed on 10 January 2019 — KOOK N KEECH, ROADSTER, MAST & HARBOUR and DRESSBERRY — and SANGRIA is not among them. Those results run to several pages, so that is a first page rather than a proven absence.
Here the Anouk page and this one part company, for a documentary reason rather than an editorial one. For Anouk, a register mirror carries ANOUK (LABEL) in class 25, applied 1 July 2013, applicant Myntra Designs Pvt Ltd, status “Accepted & Advertised”. No equivalent record for Sangria was found on any mirror that could be read, so one page can name an applicant and this one cannot. Nothing about Sangria’s ownership is carried across from it.
Fifty-one thousand listings, 231 companies answerable for the goods, and no owner of the name on any register that could be read.
What does exist is trade press, attributed rather than upgraded. Business Standard, on 26 July 2023, citing an Economic Times report, wrote that “over the past few years, Myntra has launched around 20-25 brands such as Invictus, Ether, and Sangria, internally referred to as ‘master brands'”. FashionNetwork India named “women’s ethnic wear brand Sangria” in a report on the same restructuring that day. Neither is a company statement or a filing.
Two facts belong side by side. Myntra’s press release of 22 May 2025, launching Myntra Global in Singapore, lists what it calls “sought-after brands” and Anouk is among them, beside Aurelia, Global Desi, Libas and W. Sangria is not named in it, read again on 7 September 2026. A brand list in a market-launch release is not a list of what a company owns, and no conclusion is drawn here from the absence.
What Sangria costs in India
The catalogue was walked category by category and then by price band on 7 September 2026, giving 16,716 unique listings — 32.2% of the 51,948 — with the MRP, the price charged and the site’s own discount label on each. Of those, 16,289 were reduced and 427 sat at MRP. Median MRP ₹2,799, median price charged ₹749, median discount 73%, and in aggregate 30.5% of MRP. Coupons and bank offers sit on top, so 30.5% is the most a buyer would have paid that day rather than the least.
The sample agrees with the whole catalogue. The site’s own discount filter, across all 51,948 listings the same day, put 50,687 at 10% off or more, 45,594 at 60% or more, 33,119 at 70% or more, 8,886 at 80% or more and 31 at 90% or more.
Counting distinct values answers what a median cannot: is this a price for this garment, or a slot on a grid? Sangria has 891 distinct MRPs and 88 distinct whole-number discount percentages from 0% to 90%, only three integers missing — the fullest ladder this site has counted, and seventeen points deeper than the next. Three retailers read the week before ran very short ladders by comparison: H&M on 47 distinct MRPs, Uniqlo on 23 and V-Mart on nine.
| Brand | Distinct MRPs | Distinct discount percentages |
|---|---|---|
| Sangria | 891 | 88, from 0% to 90%, three integers missing |
| Anouk | 521 | 74 |
| Libas | 237 | 79, every integer from 13% to 84% |
| Aurelia | 107 | 67, every integer from 1% to 67% |
| Biba | 96 | 47, from 2% to 68%, with gaps |
| H&M | 47 | — |
| Uniqlo | 23 | — |
Sangria, Anouk, Libas, Aurelia and Biba read 7 September 2026; H&M and Uniqlo 6 September 2026. A dash means not counted.
The countdown, and the coupon underneath it
Of the 400 listings read one at a time at 18:50 IST on 7 September 2026, 393 carried a live countdown reading “OFFER ENDS IN”. None carried a start value; the field reads zero on every one. All carried an end value between 5.1 and 12.0 hours away, across 348 distinct end times, so the countdowns are scattered second by second rather than sharing an expiry.
They are scattered inside a narrow band. The earliest ends at 23:59 IST that night and the latest at 06:48 the next morning, but 364 of the 393 fall between 02:40 and 03:39 on 8 September — a window 57 minutes wide, in the middle of the night. Whether the countdown resets is not established: the site’s field for a scheduled next offer is empty on every listing read, which is a fact about the field rather than the practice.
Underneath the timer sits a coupon with a much longer life. Of the 16,716 listings, 12,919 — 77.3% — carried one, across four codes: 3,447 expiring on 10 October 2026 and 9,471 on 11 October. On one listing an MRP of ₹2,999 was marked down to ₹531 under a “(82% OFF)” label, with a coupon offering a best price of ₹371 — 12.4% of the MRP.
None of that sets Sangria apart, and it is more interesting for not doing so. Read across the same shelf the same day, a coupon dated 10 or 11 October sat on 100 of W for Woman’s first hundred listings, 99 of Aurelia’s, 98 of Soch’s, 96 of Biba’s, 95 of Global Desi’s, 93 of Libas’s and 86 of Anouk’s. An overnight countdown and a month-long coupon on one listing is the shape of the shelf.
Not a kurta label
The 51,948 listings split as apparel 43,815, accessories 7,941 and footwear 192. Kurta Sets are the largest block at 17,583, but sarees come next at 11,690 — 22.5% of everything carrying the name — and accessories are 15.3%, including 2,648 pairs of earrings, 1,325 rakhis and 841 jewellery sets. By gender it runs women 43,693, girls 4,711, boys 2,795 and men 1,712. Calling Sangria a women’s kurta label describes about a third of it.
What the label does not tell you
Origin is the one complete field. India is declared on 400 of 400 listings at listing level and on 400 of 400 in the seller’s record, and the site’s origin filter puts India on all 51,948.
A net quantity appears on 1 of the 400 listings — the thinnest declaration on this shelf. A fibre percentage, the 60% cotton, 40% polyester line a buyer can use, appears on 47. GSM, grams per square metre, the figure that says how heavy a fabric is, appears on none, which makes eighteen apparel brands running with no fabric weight published anywhere. On the same shelf the House of Indya store prints a quantity, a manufacturer’s address and a named grievance redressal officer.
One saree read in full names Maithilis of Mumbai at listing level, while the seller’s record on the same listing names MK Tailoring House of Jaipur as both manufacturer and packer. Two companies, one listing, and nothing irregular about it.
Where else it sells
Sangria sells on one other marketplace, and it is in the same group. Flipkart’s Sangria brand listing held 9,786 items on 7 September 2026, and a page of 40 read from it was 40 of 40 reduced, with discounts from 4% to 88%, 28 distinct MRPs among the 40, and an aggregate of 26.9% of MRP against Myntra’s 30.5% the same day. That rests on 40 listings — and Flipkart and Myntra are two shopfronts of one owner, not an independent check on each other.
On the same day the brand was not listed on Ajio, where the word returns 14 items and the brand filter names eight other labels, none of them Sangria, while the site’s Biba filter holds 2,116. Nor on Nykaa Fashion, where 61 items come back and the brand filter names twenty small labels, none of them Sangria — the word is a shade of red there. Both readings had checks that rendered in the same session.
Tata CLiQ is a weaker finding and is written as one. A search for the word returns 44 items, the visible ones colour matches such as a “Surbhi Sangria Printed Cotton Co-Ord Set”, and its brand filter names other labels. A Biba search there returned 2,195 items plus two Biba sub-brands, so the site was readable — but a search is a ranking, not an inventory. What this page records is that no Sangria brand page was found, not that the brand is absent.
No Sangria website, store locator or shop of its own was found — nothing found rather than nothing there.
The advertising record
No advertising adjudication is filed under the Sangria name with the Advertising Standards Council of India, and that needs qualifying rather than reading as a clean bill. The council is a self-regulatory industry body, not a statutory regulator, and its file is built around objective claims — efficacy, percentages, “No. 1” — which clothing makes almost none of. An empty apparel file says more about the category than about a brand, and nothing was looked for under the names of the 231 declared manufacturers.
Myntra Designs Private Limited has 19 rows of its own on that record, every one filed against the retailer’s own advertising under names such as “Myntra” and “Myntra.com”. None names Sangria, and none is attributed to Sangria here.
Who Sangria is actually for
The clothes are cheap and the range is very large, and neither is a criticism. A ₹749 median for a saree or a kurta set is real money saved. What a buyer does not get is continuity behind the name.
Read the declaration, not the brand
Open the product details block and note the declared manufacturer. If a kurta set worked out well, that name is what to look for next time — two Sangria garments rarely come from the same company.
Price the garment, not the discount
Ask whether the saree is worth ₹749, not whether ₹2,799 down to ₹749 sounds like a bargain. With 97.4% of the catalogue reduced, the reduced price is the ordinary one — and with no fabric weight anywhere, two ₹749 kurta sets that both say “cotton” can be quite different cloth.
Common questions
Is Sangria a Myntra brand?
Myntra’s own listing records mark it as one of its house labels on 16,378 of 16,716 listings read on 7 September 2026, which is the platform’s classification of its own catalogue rather than a trade-mark record. No register reading available that day names an owner for the mark SANGRIA, and Myntra Designs Private Limited appears on none of the 400 declarations read. Trade press of 26 July 2023 named Sangria among brands Myntra had launched, and that is a press report rather than a filing.
Who makes Sangria clothes?
There is no single answer. Across 400 listings read on 7 September 2026, 231 different companies are declared as the manufacturer and 156 are the seller of record. The declaration names who is legally answerable for the goods rather than who sewed them, and the arrangement between Myntra and those companies is not on any document that could be found.
Are Sangria’s discounts real?
The prices charged are real and they are low: 16,289 of 16,716 listings were reduced on 7 September 2026, at an aggregate of 30.5% of MRP, with a median price charged of ₹749. Whether the MRP is a price anyone was asked to pay is a separate question, and with 97.4% of the catalogue reduced on the day of reading, the reduced price is the ordinary one.
Where can I buy Sangria apart from Myntra?
Flipkart, which is in the same group, held 9,786 Sangria items on 7 September 2026. On the same day the brand was not listed on Ajio or Nykaa Fashion. On Tata CLiQ no Sangria brand page was found, which is a weaker finding than the other two and is not the same as saying the brand is absent. No Sangria shop or website of its own was found.
Does Sangria publish fabric composition or GSM?
Rarely and never, in that order. Of 400 listings read on 7 September 2026, 47 carried a fibre percentage and none carried a GSM figure. A net quantity appeared on one. Eighteen apparel brands into this site’s work, none has published a fabric weight.
What are Sangria FUZN and Sangria X fwd?
They are two smaller ranges sold under separate brand pages on the same site — 881 listings and 439 listings on 7 September 2026. Myntra’s own house-label mark reads on for 60 of 60 Sangria FUZN listings read and off for 0 of 60 Sangria X fwd listings. No explanation for that split was found.

On price, Sangria is among the strongest things on this shelf. A ₹749 median against a ₹2,799 median MRP, with 97.4% of 16,716 listings reduced and a coupon under three-quarters of them, buys a lot of saree for the money.
What you are not buying is a maker, and here not an owner either. Two hundred and thirty-one companies declare themselves answerable across 400 listings, the retailer’s own company appears on none, and no register reading available on 7 September 2026 names a holder of the name. On what the label tells you this is the thinnest brand on the shelf: a net quantity on one listing in 400, a fibre percentage on 47, no fabric weight at all.
Buy the garment at the price charged and read the declaration under it — the name above is a shelf label, and on the record available it belongs to nobody in particular.
